Hymes smiled and said, “I hope I can be…” 

“Charming enough to make you…” Hymes raised Giselle’s chin and forced her to look into his eyes. 

Giselle seemed to be fascinated and met his eyes as if he would be drowned by his gentle eyes at any time. 

“Fall in love with me one day.” 

Giselle’s heart suddenly skipped a beat. 

She had never imagined that she would be so touched by Hymes at such a moment. 

His words were probing and inquisitive. He seemed to let her have the initiative and waited for him with patience. 

Why did Hymes ask such a question?

Taking a deep breath, Giselle forced herself to regain her composure and said, “Do you know who started the rumors?” 

“It’s hard to say. People spread the rumors to each other. No one would admit he was the one who started the rumors even if you interrogate each of 

them.” 

Of course, Giselle knew about the power of public opinion. Nora had gotten into big trouble a few days ago because of that. And now.. Giselle had to experience it in the company. 

But Giselle knew vaguely who started the rumors. Only Jenny and Mickey would watch over her and slander her in the company. 

Giselle would not compromise with them, nor would she pretend that nothing had happened, but she had to figure out how to handle it. 

After Giselle returned to the office, everyone stared at her for a while before looking away. There were contempt and curiosity in their eyes. Only people who had experienced this could know the damage they could cause to a person. 

Giselle was unruffled and went back to her desk. After she sat down, she heard a mocking voice. “I don’t think so. How can she sell herself?” 

It was Jenny. 

The colleague who was next to Jenny immediately said, “She’s married. Who knows? If she doesn’t seduce him with her pretty face, how can get him to pull strings for her? There must be some unspeakable secrets.” 

Jenny wore a weird expression and said, “It’s unbelievable. It’s unbelievable. Although I don’t like her, I don’t think she would do that.”

She leaned against the wall and gave a smile, which failed to reach her eyes. She asked, “What are you talking about? I’m interested. Why don’t we chat about it together?”
