Chapter 48
Giselle responded calmly, “Nora, did someone tell you I got dumped but forgot to mention that I got married?”
Nora didn’t want to believe it. It hadn’t been long since Giselle was dumped. How could she find someone to marry?
Jealousy towards Giselle still lingered in Nora, even though she had achieved some success and could have moved on from her past
shadow. But she didn’t let go of herself and therefore was destined to gradually sink into such negative emotions.
“Did you find someone to get married to deliberately provoke Mickey?” Nora judged self–righteously. “Maybe the marriage is fake. You must still be thinking about Mickey.”
“If you insist that I will be affected by him, then no matter what I say, it will be useless. You can continue to have this thought, Giselle replied.
“I don’t believe it!” Nora emphasized, “And maybe this ring is fake too.”
Kila became angry and retorted. “Just open your eyes and see if it’s real or fake!”
“Oh, I know this brand. Their rings have unique designs. I can tell at a glance whether it’s real or fake!”
Nora said disdainfully, “I bought many rings from them, so you can show me yours if you dare.”
“I don’t want to engage in such a pointless argument with you, Nora. What’s past is past, and I have no intention of pursuing them. But it doesn’t mean that everything you have done has passed.”
Giselle coldly stared back at her. “If you want your clients and fans to know what you’ve done, I don’t mind revealing it.”
“Don’t threaten me. You promised me that you wouldn’t mention these things again! Don’t eat your words!” Nora protested.
“So what about you? What are you doing today?” Giselle questioned.
“I just feel sorry for you! I wanted to help you, but you didn’t appreciate it and insisted you were married. I doubt if you really have a husband!”
“If you’re so sure, why don’t you bring your husband to meet me? I need to see him with my own eyes to believe that he’s real. Nora’s tone was challenging.
Kila was annoyed by Nora’s jealousy and sarcastically replied, “Is there a limit to your jealousy? You have won some fans now. Why do you always compare yourself to Giselle?”
“She’s just too vain and eager to show off, insisting that she’s married…”
Nora still didn’t believe it. Kila suggested to Giselle, “Why don’t you call Hymes over to prove it to her?”
“No, it’s ridiculous. He’s not my tool to be paraded in front of people.”
Hearing Giselle’s response, Nora became even more confident, “You still refuse to admit it? If you really have a husband, call him over. As long as I see that he is really your husband, I will apologize and will never trouble you again!”
One of the employees was interested and suggested, “Giselle, why don’t you bring your husband to dinner together? It would be nice to have everyone together.”
“Right, you’re already married, and we’re really curious about your husband. We want to know what kind of person can win the heart of the school’s beauty queen!”
“He is so lucky to have you.”
Nora’s eyes were full of provocation. She believed in her judgment that Giselle could not be married, so she looked forward to seeing how Giselle would fail to maintain this lie.

Giselle was feeling frustrated.
Giselle didn’t want to call Hymes, not because she thought he couldn’t help her, but because she felt it was disrespectful to ask him to testify for her at this time.
Hymes was her husband, not a tool for her to show off, so she shouldn’t do that.
But in the current situation, if she didn’t call Hymnes, she might really be seen as lying.
After thinking for a while, Giselle stood up indifferently and said. I’m going out to make a phone call.”
Seeing her leave, Nora hurriedly asked Kila, “You’re her best friend. Do you think she really got married? It must be a lie, right”
“If you’ve seen Giselle’s husband, you’d know that Mickey is nothing compared to him.”
Nora’s smile disappeared. “How is that possible? Mickey is already so outstanding. How could Giselle find a man better than
him?”
There are plenty of men in this world who are better than Mickey. You don’t really think he’s a gem, do you?”
Even though Nora no longer liked Mickey, she still remembered the emotions and his excellence when she thought of him.
At least Mickey was good–looking, tall, and had a pleasant personality, which was attractive to girls.
What kind of man could be better than Mickey?
When she thought about how Giselle really had such a husband, Nora couldn’t help but feel resentful and jealous. blinded by these emotions.
She murmured, as if comforting herself, “It’s impossible… you’re also lying with Giselle…”
Kila rolled her eyes, thinking that Nora was beyond help. It was more useful to let Hymes stand in front of her directly than to explain anything.
After Giselle left the room, she found a quiet place and circled around before finally dialing Hymes‘ phone number.
The phone was picked up almost immediately after one ring.
“Hello?”
The hoarse voice concealed an indescribable emotion.
Giselle was inexplicably nervous.
After not talking for a whole day, Giselle even had feelings of shyness, as if they were meeting again after a long separation.
“Have you eaten yet?”
“I have. What’s up?”
“Nothing much, just asking if you’ve had dinner.”
Hymes heard like he was smiling, “How about you?”
“I just ate a little bit, and I’ll continue later.”
“Have a good time tonight.”
Giselle pursed her lips, “Don’t you want to know where I’m going tonight?”

Hymes said, “That is your freedom, and I can’t interfere, can Ea
It sounded like he was in a fit of pique. Giselle thought she must have misunderstood him. How could someone as mature and stable as him have such a thought?
“It’s not like that. I should still tell you where I’m going, and it’s just…”
Thinking that he might not have time to listen to her, Giselle didn’t say too much, afraid of bothering him.
They had just gotten married, and they both needed some personal space. It might be a good thing to stay away from each other occasionally.
Hymes also needed his freedom, so Giselle did not tell him too much about it today.
Hymes said lightly. “If you’re busy, go ahead. What time will you be back? Shall I pick you up?”
“No, no need. I can go back myself.”
Giselle felt that she shouldn’t trouble Hymes all the time.
Then the man’s tone, which had just softened, seemed to turn cold again. “Uh, then that’s it.”
After hanging up the phone, Giselle felt a little frustrated.
When she was about to return to the room, she suddenly noticed that a gentleman–looking man wearing glasses was staring
