Chapter 12
Giselle was a bit doubtful but didn’t overthink.
She put the tulips into the vase and asked Hymes with a smile, “How about it?”
Under the dim light, Giselle’s delicate features were as beautiful as an oil painting. Then, her lips curled into a charming smile.
Hymes eyes darkened slightly, and he nodded. “Beautiful”
Indeed. Giselle was even more beautiful than the tulips.
Giselle somehow felt Hymes‘ gaze was… full of aggressiveness that seemed to numb her nerves.
Then, she blushed under his gaze.
“Go to cook. I’ll change my clothes.”
Giselle rushed upstairs and put on a set of conservative pajamas before coming downstairs again.
After all, Hymes was a common man with common needs.
“I hope he doesn’t have any peculiarity. He seems normal,” Giselle thought.
“Do you need my help?” Giselle stood beside the kitchen door while watching Hymes cook methodically.
“No need: There’s fruit in the fridge. You can have some if you want.”
Hymes lowered his head to deal with the ingredients. His sleeves were rolled up to his elbow, revealing his arm’s tough yet smooth outline.
The bluish veins on his fair skin made him seem…. quite sexy.
Hymes was obviously cold and fierce, but his unique charm was irresistible.
Giselle stared at him for a long while before finally remembering what she wanted to say.
“When are you going to tell your parents about our marriage?”
Giselle hesitantly continued, “My mother asked me to date you, but I haven’t told her we’ve already married.”
Even though Giselle’s family had always wanted her to get married as soon as possible, her marriage was still way too hasty.
Now, since Giselle was already married, her parents would think she was too impulsive.
“Not yet.”
Hymes looked back and asked, “When are you going to tell them?”
“Later, maybe. What do you think? We can take it slow.”
Giselle was afraid that Hymes might think differently, so she was rather cautious.
However, Hymes said, “Okay”
Grelle’s lips curled into a smile. “I never imagined that I would marry a man I had just met. It all happened so fast!”
But now, even though this decision was hasty, it turned out to be surprisingly delightful.
A smile emerged in Hymes‘ eyes. “Me too.”
He almost believed he had to do something more dangerous and coercive to get the woman he wanted.
However, Hymes never expected the man who had been together with Giselle for such a long time would dump her. And now, Hymes finally got the chance to be together with Giselle.
Hymes turned around to continue cooking. His eyes became dark and deep, like a bottomless abyss.
When it was time for dinner, Giselle looked at the dishes on the table and almost applauded and cheered his cooking.
“Maybe you should become a cook.”
Giselle praised Hymes sincerely, “Your cooking skill is good enough to make you a chef!”
“No… It’s just my hobby, not my job.”
Besides, Hymes‘ cooking was exclusive to Giselle.
Chapter 12
Giselle quickly took out her phone and took several photos, then posted them on her Instagram
And the description was: [Che! Giles” master cooking“]
Instantly, many friends commented on her post.
[Damn! That looks good! Who cooked these dishes?)
[Who is Chef Gites? Is there a new restaurant?]
I want to try this so much! May I come over? Please!)
[Giselle, did your boyfriend cook all of these?)
Giselle replied to some comments. She thought for a while and asked Hymes, “Do you mind if my friends come to visit us occasionally?”
“Visit us”
These two words caused emotions to ripple in Hymes‘ eyes.
His tone subconsciously softened. “I don’t mind. Are your friends coming over?”
“I’m not sure yet. I just talked with them about it but haven’t made a schedule.”
“Okay, no problem.”
Giselle stuck out her tongue. “You can bring your friends as well.”
Hymes grunted softly.
He would never let his buddies meet his beloved wife so easily.
“I don’t have many friends.” Hymes said flatly, “Maybe I’ll invite them later.”
Giselle didn’t overthink because she didn’t have many friends either.
After dinner, Giselle looked at Hymes apologetically. “Your new bed will be delivered tomorrow. You have to sleep on the couch for another night.”
“That’s okay”
Hymes looked at Giselle calmly. “You can pay with that credit card I gave you.”
“No need. It’s not very expensive.…..”
“Come on.” Hymes stepped forward, keeping only a hairbreadth away from Giselle.
He slightly lowered his head. “I saved a lot of money by living together with you.”
This reason was quite persuasive, so Giselle had no choice but to agree.
Hymes was quiet. After dinner, he started working on his laptop. Giselle didn’t go to see what he was doing and only minded her own business.
They occupied both sides of the couch without bothering each other, and the atmosphere was surprisingly harmonious.
[You didn’t even tell me that you’re married! How dare you!]
Giselle’s phone vibrated, and she received a message from Kila Bradley, her best friend.
Giselle immediately replied with a few emojis and a message:
[Crying face emopl
[Sad face emoji
[I’m sorry! I should’ve told you!]
Kila replied: [Hup if I’m not on a business trip, I’ll definitely rush to your apartment right now!]
Giselle texted: [He lives in my apartment now.]
Kila: (What the hell!)
Giselle: [He has no place to live, so I asked him to move in
Kila: [No place to live? Are you sure he’s a good man? Is he rich? What’s his job?]
Giselle sent Hymes‘ photo to Kila.
Kla: [Holy shit! Where did you get such a Prince Charming? I want one as well!]
Chapter 12
There was an important reason that made Kila Giselle’s best friend: she liked good–looking men as much as Giselle did.
Kila was a lawyer who graduated from a famous law school. Usually, she seemed decent and extremely serious.
But her heart couldn’t help but flutter whenever she saw a good–looking man.
However, Kila only liked their good appearances. If those men wanted to become more intimate with her, she would immediately run away.
To put it bluntly, Kila never wanted to be responsible for any relationship.
And sure enough, when Kila saw Hymes‘ face, she instantly stopped doubting his ability.
She texted: [Nevermind. You’re already married. There are too many scumbags nowadays. At least marrying a handsome man will make you feel visually delighted.]
Giselle: [He’s pretty good, actually. Until now, I haven’t found any of his flaws.]
Except for a good appearance, Hymes also had good taste. Besides, he was polite, gentle, and calm.
He was very well–educated, and he was also a good cook.
Giselle felt fortunate that she was married to such a man.
If Hymes were still single, every woman in the city would be dying to date him.
Giselle knew she was very lucky. Otherwise, some other women would be interested in Hymes.
If Hymes actually became other women’s target, Giselle probably would never have a chance.
Kila: [I’ll come back when I finish dealing with this case, I have to meet him!]
Giselle smiled and replied: [Okay! By then, you can tell me if he’s worthy.]
Giselle checked the time. It was half an hour until midnight.
She logged in to her live stream account and carefully put her phone on the bedside table, not letting the camera catch her face.
The only thing that could be seen in her live stream was a warm floor lamp.
Giselle started her live stream, cleared her throat, and began to put her audience to sleep.
There weren’t many listeners on her live stream channel. After all, Giselle never revealed her face, nor was she a sexy dancer. Therefore, she couldn’t attract many audiences only with her voice.
Giselle said, “Hello, everyone.”
The next second, a fan entered her live stream channel, and his ID was Xeno. c
