Moonlit Betrayal (Alpha Rick)

Chapter 7 

Rick grabbed the report and scanned it, his voice shaky. “The deceased is… Daisy? No way, that’s not possible!” “Alpha Rick, you gotta keep it together!‘” 

Rick trembled, almost losing his balance. “How could it be her? She… she is at her friend’s house.” 

Xavier steadied him, his tone gentle. “Are you sure about it, Alpha Rick? Because this morning we found news that Isaiah, Luna Daisy’s friend, was also being murdered when she went to the market yesterday. I get that this is a lot to take in right now, but it’s the truth,” he said quietly. 

What? Isaiah was killed? 

“Also, based on the Riverstone Pack Emblem that we found yesterday, the Rough and Luna Daisy‘ s fingerprint was indeed there, but there was some fingerprint that we can‘ fidentify yet too,” he continued. 

“But Xavier, we have caught the perpetrator, the Rough. How could Isiah be murdered then? 

“They must be playing with me. Daisy and Isaiah must have done this on purpose to make me care about Daisy. Yes, this has nothing to do with the brutal murder series, that’s for sure. 

Rick looked like an insane guy at the moment. 

“She even pushed my first love to the cliff, so I’ve seen through her true color since then.” 

Listening to my mate’s spiteful remarks, I couldn’t suppress a bitter laugh. It seemed that he had been harboring 

resentment towards me for quite some time. I managed to force a smile through my tears, realizing that my once pure and youthful love held no significance in the end. 

Since long ago, the Deathwhisper Pack and the Riverstone Pack have been mortal enemies. 

What was more, the war broke out during the time of Rick’s grandfather, Alpha Alexander. But at that time, he succeeded in genociding the upper class of the Riverstone Pack, so that the Alpha of the Riverstone Pack admitted defeat and was willing to give the entire forest area to the Deathwhisper Pack. 

As a future Alpha, of course Rick’s father explained this in detail to him since he was little, making him never go to the border area at all. 

That was why, I admitted that actually Louisiana and Rick’s meeting was completely my fault. 

Since childhood, because I was the daughter of an Alpha s family, I was introduced to many Alpha and Beta sons from various Packs at every banquet. So, I had known Rick and Xavier for a long time. 

My first meeting with Rick was incredible, so that he immediately became my first love. Because of that, I asked my parents to let me go to the Deathwhisper Pack‘ s Academy, so that I could often meet Rick. From school, I also got to know Isaiah and became good friends with her. 

At hunting lessons, Rick and I became a group. You could imagine how excited I was, right?
