Chapter 51
Kimberly followed behind as Roy's unconscious body was being carried into the house, with tears rolling down her cheeks
“Roy, honey. Is that- oh my goodness! What happened?!” Christine explained coming out of the kitchen where she had been making dinner to distract herself from worrying over the meeting between Roy, Alan and Hugh as Kimberly was in no state to do anything.
Elijah explained what happened to his mom. Without any further questions, she hurried into the bathroom to get a first aid kit, a bowl of water and a towel.
Kimberly followed them into Roy's bedroom. They placed his unconscious body on the bed. She settled herself beside him, stroking his hair as she sobbed.
"What about your father. Why isn't he with Roy?” Christine asked the moment she returned back to the room, immediately resuming to clean Roy's wounds.
Kimberly could tell that Christine was scared that something bad might have happened to her mate. “I called Dad on my way here...” Elijah began.
"At that time, he was still with Alpha Hugh. I'm certain he distracted dad so his men could execute their plan.”
“Did he sound okay?” Christine nervously asked, her hands visibly shaking.
Kimberly quickly took the towel from the older woman.
“I'll take it from here, Christine. I'm a doctor.” she insisted when Christine tried to protest.
“Mom, dad assured me that he was fine.” Elijah assured his mom, sensing her worry for her mate. Kimberly continued cleaning Roy's wounds, mentally praying that he wakes up because, no matter how hard she tried to deny it, he was the only person she could trust at the moment.
While cleaning his wounds, she noticed he wasn't healing like they claimed werewolves did, making her extremely nervous. Then Elijah’s words rang in her ears, muffling every other thing anyone else was saying.
When those words left Elijah’s lips, she felt like she was stabbed a million times. This can't happen to her a second time, she can't lose Roy. The mere thought of losing him kills her already.
“It's now all up to him to heal.” Elijah concluded in a defeated tone, bringing Kimberly out from her trance.
Elijah then signaled the other werewolves who were in the room to leave.
“If you'll excuse me, Luna.” He said before exiting the room himself.
Christine wrapped her arms around Kimberly's trembling form.
“I can't lose him. I don’t want to lose him.” She sobbed.
Christine only soothed her, not bothering to say a word because she knew no words could comfort the broken Luna.
After what felt like hours, only sniffles were heard in the room indicating that Kimberly had stopped crying.
"Will you be okay by yourself?” Christine whispered like she didn’t want to disturb the silence in the room.
Not having it in her strength to reply, Kimberly only nodded in reply, earning a kiss on the forehead before the older woman pulled away from the embrace and left the room.
Kimberly stared at Roy's unconscious body and couldn't help but feel lost.
What would become of her now? Who would protect her the way Roy did? She wondered.
Yes, she was aware of the fact that these people saw her as someone of importance, but she doesn't think they will be able to protect her from this “Hugh' guy the way Roy did.
Walking towards his bed, she wished he could open those captivating eyes of his. She sat beside his unconscious body with fresh tears in her eyes, as she traced her fingers over his injured chest, remembering how toned and smooth it used to be. Then suddenly, she remembered that Alan had told her she had some sort of power, she decided to give it a try.
Kimberly placed her hand on one of the injuries on his chest, hoping that would do the trick.
If this place and its people were like those from Hollywood movies, she could as well try using her powers like they did.
After three awfully slow minutes, nothing happened making her a bit upset. She decided to ignore her first failed attempt.
Maybe she didn't do it right or she probably wasn't fully concentrating. Yes, that should be it, she thought to herself.
Repeating the process over again, she decided to pay a hundred percent attention to what she was doing this time.
After two minutes, the result came out the same, causing her to let out a groan of frustration.
Why isn't it working? She mentally questioned, already in tears.
What is she going to do now? She wondered, when suddenly another thought crossed her mind. “This is insane.” She murmured to herself, wondering how she would go about it without Roy's consent.
Even if she decided to give it a try, how could she be sure it would work? Just minutes ago nothing happened, so how certain is she that this one is going to work?
Where they even telling her the truth or where they just trying to keep her here against her will? Kimberly's thoughts were conflicted. If she goes ahead with this option and it eventually works, wouldn't Roy be upset with her. But, if she remembered correctly, Alan said something about how werewolves adored their mates, so she guess Roy won't be that upset with her.
But why couldn't she get her mind off the night Roy kissed her with so much passion and the next second flipped to be someone else. The mere thought of that incident made her shiver.
“This is so much harder than I thought.” She groaned, staring at Roy's unconscious body once again. “I need to do this. I can't lose him.” She encouraged herself.
Taking a deep breath, she decided to take the bold step.
“I hope this works.” She muttered because this was her “final resort. If this doesn't work, she would probably go crazy.
God! She feels like a slut for thinking about this option, but if saving Roy's life means she will have to act like a slut, she'll do it.
Just to make sure someone doesn't walk into the room unannounced, Kimberly went to lock the door and walked back towards the bed
She slowly took off her underwear, not bothering to take off Roy's shirt that she had on. She didn't believe she would be thinking this way, but she was glad Roy already had no clothes on, that way she would feel less awkward and guilty about this.
Slowly climbing on the bed, she contemplated whether or not to go ahead with it. The thought of what could happen if Roy doesn’t make it stopped her from being a coward.
This was what they claimed healers did for their mates. Moreover, he is her mate so she isn't doing anything wrong nor is she committing a crime of any sort.
With that final conviction, Kimberly straddled Roy under the sheets. His naked body was a sight to behold and he was quite big down there.
“Gosh, Kimberly stop!” she cautioned herself as her thoughts were already getting messed up. “You're doing this to save his life.” She made sure to remind herself.
Without further delay, she slowly lined him inside her, enduring the pain she was feeling from his big size. She stopped when his full length was completely inside her to get used to his size. When the pain subsided and she got used to the feeling of him inside her, she started to move, slowly riding him.
She swore she felt electricity all over her body when she began moving. This feeling was different from any she had ever experienced. She closed her eyes to let the pleasure take over her and in no time she was imagining all the things she wanted Roy to do to her.
How she craved the warmth of his hands on every inch of her body, touching her in all the right places, with his heavenly lips on hers.
Lost in pleasure, Kimberly didn't realize that Roy's wounds were slowly healing, until she felt a pair of strong muscular hands on her thighs, did she realize what was happening.
