Maid for The Alphas: Chapter 5
A loud gasp jolted me awake.
My eyes shot open, and I sat up quickly with my head spinning. Rubbing the sleep out of my eyes, I looked around, annoyed as hell, and saw that the front door was open and Aunt Julie was standing in the doorway.
“What’s wrong?” I asked in a panicked breath, rushing up behind her.
She turned to me, and I saw a large purple box open on the floor of the porch.
“Someone gave us all this food,” she said excitedly, pulling out cans of beans and packages of pasta. Looking around outside in my pajamas, I saw that all our neighbors had similar gifts, and kids were squealing over new shoes.
“Oh wow,” I said, surprised. It was unexpected since no one really cared about us living on this side of town. I was also touched but determined I would make a lot of money so we could move out of here.
Aunt Julie brought the box into the house, and I looked at the time.
“I’m going to work now,” said Aunt Julie, kissing my cheek. “I’m so proud of you, sweetheart. You’re going to do such an amazing job.”
“Thanks,” I said, stretching. “I’m a little nervous, but I think I can handle it. I’ve cleaned houses before.”
She left the trailer, excitedly muttering under her breath about all the food recipes she’d make with the ingredients we just received.
I had thirty minutes to get ready before the limo would show up at the house that I lied about. And I needed time to walk to the house down the street to wait for my ride. I told my aunt last night about the unique job opportunity, but I said nothing about the fact that the men were alpha wolves because that would cause her to move states right away.
I showered, brushed my teeth, and threw on a pair of black leggings with a plain red shirt.
It was my only outfit that didn’t have a bunch of holes and bleach on them. Grabbing my ratty backpack, which had loose pieces of thread everywhere, I stuffed it with candy from the donation box and a water bottle.
I chewed on a cracker as I quickly brushed my hair down over my shoulders until it shone. Slinging my backpack over my shoulder, I was ready to go.
Opening my front door, I noticed the limo I had ridden in yesterday sitting on the side of the road in front of our trailer. Oh my god, how did they know I lived here? The alpha must have freaking followed me. But I also remembered I had put in my exact address during the application process.
As I approached the limo, the driver hopped out and went around the side to open the door for me.
“Thank you, sir,” I said respectfully as I went inside.
He looked startled at being addressed. “Of course, call me Jeff.”
“Okay, Jeff,” I said, smiling, and the wrinkles on his face relaxed as he closed the door. Maybe he wasn’t as mean as I thought yesterday. He got into the driver’s seat and started the limo.
“Air conditioner to your liking, ma’am?” he asked me.
Wow, I could get used to this life. It was definitely a different experience than taking the bus.
“Yes, all good,” I said, settling back and adjusting my backpack between my feet to grab my very used book from it.
When the limo came to a complete stop, I looked up from my book, realizing I was at Zaff’s house now. During the ride, I was reading, but I also daydreamed about all the money I’d make today at my new job.
Stepping out of the limo, I wondered if I should even call it a house. It was more of a mansion than anything I’ve ever seen in my life. As I walked to the mansion, the doorman gave me a slight bow and opened the door for me.
“Good morning, madam,” he said in a stiff polite tone.
“Morning,” I said cheerfully, walking inside, and once again, I felt self-conscious of my dirty white sneakers and ripped backpack.
“You’re here bright and early,” said a voice to my right, and I turned to see the youngest of the alphas. The one wearing glasses. Ruston was his name. The billionaire tech app guy who made it possible for his pack to get rich.
I flashed him a bright, excited smile, “I am. I’m so ready to get started.”
“I see,” he said, his face grave as he tried to smile. The smile looked forced on him, and I tried to keep a straight face upon seeing him struggling. “Let me show you to your quarters where you can rest and we’ll go through your tasks of the day.”
“Sounds cool,” I said, with my head up and my back straight as I followed close behind. I wanted to do a phenomenal job and to be someone they couldn’t live without. Ruston’s overpowering alpha scent disguised under his cologne was throwing me off my A-Game.
How was I going to stay focused when the tingling between my legs kept growing stronger with every interaction with them?
Ruston had a different level of hotness than Zaff. He had a calm, professional demeanor. There was a coldness within his soul that repelled and also drew me in. I wanted to know him beneath the surface, but that would be dangerous as hell.
“This will be your room,” he said, stopping in front of a door in the hallway. My eyes widened when he opened the door to reveal a glittering vanity, a simple bed, and a walk-in closet. The windows were large, with natural sunlight streaming through and a beautiful view of the trees outside. “You can come in here whenever you need to rest or need a break.”
“Wow,” I said, looking around with my mouth half-open. The room was elegant but also simple enough to be a maid’s quarter. I wouldn’t mind living here forever instead of the trailer with my aunt.
No, I couldn’t think like that.
The alphas were my enemy, and my job was to squeeze every penny from them until I quit. All alphas brought was suffering to anyone lower than them in our society. Omegas were constantly oppressed, and betas were treated even worse. Ruston’s serious demeanor was welcome to me now, and it would make it harder for me to like him.
And that was a good thing.
“This is your uniform,” he said, holding out a hanger with a maid’s uniform attached to it. My mouth dropped open when I looked at it. It was a short dress that wouldn’t even cover my ass paired with a low-cut neckline. A thong was attached to it as a one-piece.
“Oh no,” I said, quickly backing away.
“Don’t forget, you signed the contract,” he said in a bored voice, staring at me with humor swirling in his eyes. “We will specifically pick out your uniform while you stay here. And you will wear these as well.”
He was holding a pair of high black heels in his other hand, and I stared in horror as he set them both on the bed. My mind was whirling with the possibilities of walking out right now. This was absurd, and I would never sell my soul like this.
But I’d be missing out on hundreds of dollars a week…
“I didn’t sign up to be your slut or anything,” I said in a firm voice. “I’d best get going. Thank you so much for the job opportunity, but we might not be a great fit.”
“Oh man,” he sighed as if contemplating something. “Are you sure?”
“Uh, yes, I am absolutely sure,” I said. “Especially if I have to wear that.”
I turned to leave, but he stopped me, saying, “Hold on.”
“What?”
“Does two thousand dollars for your first day sound good? If you wear the uniform,” he offered.
I stopped dead in my tracks and stared at him like he grew an extra head. “You can’t be serious. Just to wear that?”
“Yes,” he said, and I immediately walked towards the bed, picking it up in my hand. “Good girl, I’ll be outside waiting until you get changed.”
I didn’t say anything as I thought about the two-thousand dollars I’d make today.
I would wear it. Fuck, I’d wear it every day if I got paid like that on the daily.
Ruston left the room, and I dropped my backpack onto the little side table next to the bed. I proceeded to strip off all my clothes and stared at the maid uniform on the bed.
It’s just clothes, I told myself.
But after I put on the frilly uniform, I looked into the full-body mirror, shocked at what I was seeing. My breasts were squished together in this damn thing and nearly popped out of the dress. I’ve never had so much cleavage showing like that before. Basically, only my nipples were covered by this thing. The hem of the dress stopped right at my thighs, and I could see my thong straight through the lower portion of the dress, which was white and transparent. The top part of the dress had pink flower petal designs distributed all around with frilled white sleeves.
This was every alpha’s creepy fantasy, and I wondered if they had regular humans wearing this type of stuff around them. I tried desperately to pull the dress down over my thighs some more to cover up my ass cheeks, but it was impossible without tearing the thing.
Giving up, I opened the door, and Ruston pocketed his phone. He turned around, and his eyes nearly bugged out when he saw me in the outfit.
“You fill it out quite nicely,” he said, looking me up and down. I started to feel self-conscious as I looked away while he stared at my breasts.
“Are you saying I’m fat or something?”
“Not at all,” he said. “I would say you look voluptuous without that hideous baggy shirt and backpack covering your sublime figure.”
I swallowed, wanting to tell him off. But I bit my tongue so I could get my two thousand dollars.
“Well, aren’t you going to show me my first task?” I asked at last.
