Chapter Blessed wolf

Finn’s POV

After the discussion Aiden and I had about Madi and her wolf I decided to call our neighboring pack Moon shade. The phone rang a few times before a gruff voice answered “You’ve got alpha Grant of moon shade pack, what can I do for ya.”

“Alpha grant, this is Finn from the crescent pack, I needed to ask a few questions.” I started.

“Ah, what an I help you with alpha Finn, at these odd hours?” Grant asked.

“Oh, yeah, sorry forgot what time it was. I was wondering if you knew anything of the blessed wolves?” I asked.

Grant let out a sigh before responding, “It’s your daughter, isn’t it? I had a feeling, she’s always been a special one. I have some books you may want to look through. When would be a good time to pop in alpha?”

“I’m available tomorrow at any time, bring your son. It might do them good to see each other again it’s been what 13 years since they’ve last seen each other?” I stated.

“Yes, it has been some years. I’ll let kade know. Expect us late morning alpha Finn. If that’s all, I’ll be going now, sounds like we have a long day ahead of us.” Grant replied back.

After the phone call ended I stood and carried myself to my room. Ever since kami died it’s been hard for me to sleep at night, all I dream of is her. For the first time in now 13 years, Madi is finally home. Where she belongs. I fell asleep to the thought of finally having a piece of my family back.

I woke up to a thud, I glanced at the clock that read 9 am. I got up and dressed and wandered into the hall, I could hear faint curses coming from Madi’s room. So I walked to her door, knocked quietly, and waited for a response. “Coming!” Madi shouted back, I could hear rustling and movement when the door came open “Oh, morning dad!” She greeted me, I smiled warmly. “Mornin Madi, everything okay in here? I heard a thud that awoke me from my beauty sleep.” I joked. “Ha ha funny dad, yes everything is fine. Just.. nothing, nevermind.” Madi replied.

She turned around to sit and that’s when I saw it, the moon goddesses mark. It was peeking out past her tank top when she had turned around. ” Madi, did you know this was there?” I pointed to her right shoulder. She glanced over her shoulder looking at the gold crescent moon and sighed “Yes, that’s what the noise was, I was the loud thud that interrupted your beauty sleep dad. I’ve never noticed it before till this morning.”

“You’re a blessed wolf, my daughter.” I said calmly.

“A what?”

“Blessed wolf, the moon goddesses mark is that of the gold crescent moon. You’re a healer and protector.” I stated. She looked at me in complete bewilderment at what I said.

“So you mean to tell me I’m some kind of blessed wolf? For Pete’s sake, I just found out last night that I would be transforming into a wolf, now this? What am I suppose to do with this kind of information dad? I just want a simple life. That’s all I ask.” Madi bantered.

“Look I know this might be a little overwhelming right now, but trust in the moon goddess. She has a plan for you I just know it. I have contacted our neighboring pack moon shade, alpha Grant may have some answers for us. Do you remember kade? Alpha grant is his father. They should be arriving later this morning. I asked alpha grant to bring kade along, you guys were pretty close when you were young. I figured it was time for you to catch up, might do ya both some good.” I told Madi.

Madi let out a sigh before saying, “Alright dad, I want answers. It’d be nice to see kade again and catch up. I’m sure he’s gotten into plenty of trouble since I’ve been gone. I’m gonna get changed and head to the kitchen for some breakfast, see ya there?

“Yes, I’ll be there in a few.” I said with a smile.

I left Madi's room and headed back to my own, I needed a shower and a fresh set of clothes for the long day ahead. After showering and changing I headed to the kitchen. Time for some good caffeine to get me right for the day. Goddess knows I needed it.
