"GRİP IT TIGHTLY," Stegren's voice sent shivers down Helga's spine though he was simply teaching her how to use and handle a gurt prep his solid chest pressed against her back and his warm breath on her her feel like she was being seduced even She gulped nervously, her heart racing as she felt
a
"O-okay" She stuttered as she glanced at the hand that covered hers, guiding it towards the gun. Following his instructions, she tightened her bold on the weapon and focused her gaze on the distant target in front of them. Although she wasn't accustomed to guns, she had a natural talent for aiming, honed from her love of using a bow and arrow. After all, it was her second favorite weapon, after her sword.
"Aim your target with precision, and when you feel ready, pull the trigger just like I taught you before." Siegren's voice remained calm and steady as he stood a step behind her, giving her room to move. Helga nodded in silence, her grip on the gun firm and strong as she regulated her breathing. She shifted her stance slightly, finding a comfortable position before letting out a soft sigh and exhaling slowly. With a precise pull of the trigger, a small puff of smoke emerged as the bullet soared through the air and hit its intended mark with precision. A sense of accomplishment filled Helga as she continued firing, each shot hitting its target with pinpoint accuracy. She could tell that she had improved.
"You're making progress. Siegren remarked. He had been teaching her how to handle a gun for the past three days, knowing it would be their main weapon during the upcoming hunting competition. But he could tell she was more than ready. Hunting itself wasn't difficult for them, thanks to their inner woll instincts. The only challenge was dealing with the greedy hunters who wanted to claim the most meat and win the prize. Still, Siegren had full faith in his mate's abilities since she had already proven herself in previous challenges. "Am "Helga smiled sheepishly before they continued practicing until they heard Lucian's voice.
"The Hunting Festival's organizers had arrived, Your Majesties," he informed them, prompting the couple to exchange knowing looks before turning their gaze towards the gamma.
"Send the Alphas to my study and their Lunas to the Queen's study, Siegren ordered, and Lucian acknowledged with a nod before leaving. As soon as he was out, Helga removed her safety gear and placed her gun on the table. She had almost forgotten about the scheduled visit from the organizers who were finalizing the participants for the upcoming hunting event. And, as expected, they were accompanied by their Lunas who were meant to assist Helga in preparing for the banquet in the Palace.
"You would face that wench again, will you be okay?" he asked, tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear before his finger trailed down to softly trace her facial contours.
"I've never had any trouble handling her. I'll be perfectly fine, and I intend to treat her with kindness, as a gesture of goodwill. After all, it's only a matter of time before I reveal her true physical appearance. Her reply was met with a sly smirk from Siegren, his interest visibly sparked by her words. Though she appeared innocent and delicate due to her beauty, Helga was someone you didn't want as an enemy. Her capabilities when provoked were unknown, and that alone was enough to make anyone wary. She exuded kindness, but it was not to be mistaken for weakness-something that Siegren greatly admired in Helga's character, and one of the many reasons why he fell hard for her.
"MY APOLOGIES for keeping you waiting. I had to change clothes due to the smell of gunpowder." Queen Luna said as she entered her study, causing everyone to stand up out of respect. The three other Luna from different packs bowed courteously, while Miranda hesitated before following suit with a polite greeting bow. She didn't want to cause any trouble that would upset Ezra, especially considering the current state of their relationship due to the turmoil within the Incarnadine pack.
When she fled into the woods that night, he pursued her, and they made up. They even mated but their relationship was never quite the same. Despite Ezra's declarations of love, Miranda couldn't help but feel that it lacked sincerity. It seemed more like he was saying it because of their mate bond and to avoid future conflicts between them. To make matters worse, a few pack members were starting to doubt her ability to lead as their Luna. Not only were they still questioning whether she trily was the key to the prophecy, but Ezra's parents had also started treating her differently. They weren't as kind and caring as they used to be, and as much as she tried to deny it, she couldn't ignore the nagging feeling that karma was finally catching up with her, that she was slowly tasting her own medicine. 12:33 MI, UCT 18 Chapter 68

"You don't have to apologize, Your Majesty. We weren't waiting for that long." A small, knowing smile tugged at the corners of Miranda's lips as Helga took a seat in her ornate chair behind her desk. Helga was taken aback by the unexpected. politeness coming from her, but she immediately caught on and mirrored Miranda's smile. It was almost unsettling how their smiles could hide the mutual animosity between them. The othe
Lunas in the room shifted uneasily, their eyes flickering between the two she wolves who were known to have issues. Upon closer inspection, their hair and eye colors were indeed identical, but their facial features were subtly different.
"I'm glad to hear that. Should we begin discussing the arrangements for the banquet?" Helga asked, watching how the four Lunas in front of her took their seats on the plush sofa. This would be her first time having a meeting with another pack's Luna so she was a bit nervous, not to mention that she could sense Miranda's calculating gaze on her. It only added to her certainty that she was scheming and plotting something against her again, which isn't exactly surprising.
Every fiber of her being was on high alert, warning her that this time would be different from Miranda's previous childish schemes. Still, she was ready for anything and instead of feeling nervous, she felt a sense of anticipation because she knew the Hunting Festival and competition would be quite interesting, something she was looking forward to.
