Chapter 61 Banned
Eva didn't expect to get good out of misfortune, either. She contacted Adam back then because he was staying in the same neighborhood as Caleb. Even if the netizens found the villa, she could make a reasonable excuse.
Rebecca Franklin had put on many efforts into this matter. She wanted to take revenge on Eva through this matter. Much to her surprise, Eva managed to get out of the jaws of danger.
"You can't blame me for trying harder then. Eva Sommers, you asked for it yourself," Rebecca's inner voice said fiercely.
Eva felt delighted after resolving this trouble. When Caleb wasn't home, she sneaked out shopping.
She left the shopping mall with bags in her hands. On the way to the parking lot, she sensed that she had been stalked. Eva smiled calmly, edging forward.
As soon as she arrived at the basement parking lot, Eva was surrounded by several gangsters.
"Hi there, beautiful. Are you alone?" One gangster who stood closest to Eva drooled after seeing her face clearly.
"You must be bored. Come on. Let's have a drink." The man in the lead felt so lucky. He didn't expect to be paid to sleep with such a beauty.
"Right. Quincy invited you for a drink. Hurry up!" said another gangster, who was about to drag Eva.
Eva looked at them coldly. They were all too fragile in her eyes. She wondered who was so blind to hire them.
"You are stubborn, aren't you? My type, though. I wonder how you taste like." As soon as Quincy finished his words, all his men burst into laughter. Quincy directly walked up, wishing to tear Eva's clothes. Meanwhile, he asked his men to turn on the camera.
When his hands were about to touch Eva, a cry of pain suddenly echoed in the parking lot. Before other gangsters realized what had happened, Quincy had already been spin kicked on his vital part. He rolled on the ground in pain.
"What are you looking at? Go get her!" The man in the lead didn't expect Eva to be so challenging. A trace of violence flashed through his eyes.
The rest four or five gangsters rushed to Eva upon hearing the order.
Eva put down the shopping bags in her hands. One gangster waved a stick to hit her. Eva captured it and spun, knocking it off his feet. The bar was still in her hand steadily.
Then she felt the coldness behind her. She smashed the stick to her back. Another gangster's weapon dropped. Eva kicked it away...
Other gangsters were startled by Eva's fighting skills, standing motionlessly. Their leader roared, "Don't stand there without doing anything! Beat her!"
Only then did they come back to their senses, raise their weapon, and rush to Eva.
Then miserable cries echoed in the parking lot continuously...
"Who hired you?" Eva asked in a cold tone, stamping on the leading gangster's face.
The man's face had become black and blue, and he realized how tough Eva was. Hence, he answered honestly, "I... I don't know who the woman is. She gave us money and asked us to do so." "Did she hire you to kidnap me?"
"No. No... It was..."
"What did she want?'
"She said you are a pretty woman, so we could have fun with you. Then... Then we could take your photos."
"Please have mercy, Ma'am. It's our fault. It won't happen again in the future," the man begged Eva in fear.
"Right. It won't happen again." Eva looked at those losers in disdain. She called Bonnie Hammond to handle this matter and let her report to the police. After all, Eva was a celebrity. She couldn't do it herself. The gangsters overheard her phone call and wished to run away, but they were too weak. Eva tied them up on the pillars.
In fact, she roughly could figure out who was behind it.
When she returned to the villa, she told Caleb that she had hit the gangsters as if she was telling a joke. Although she had ignored the gangsters' motive, Caleb remembered it.
He asked Luke Pearce to look into this matter. After knowing what had happened precisely, he became furious.
Fortunately, Eva managed to escape. Otherwise, he couldn't imagine the consequences.
It turned out Rebecca had also schemed the scandal earlier. Caleb believed that she indeed was risking her neck.
"You should know how to deal with the woman named Rebecca Franklin."
"Yes, Mr. Livingstone." Luke immediately executed the order.
In five minutes, all the entertainment companies had received a notice that Luxstar would ban Rebecca.
Rebecca's agency was NewZink, a small firm without many artists. Hence, they couldn't afford to offend a big company like Luxstar. They instantly disassociated them from Rebecca, afraid it would impact their company negatively.
For a moment, Rebecca became a target for all. No company dared to hire her. Rebecca was like a disowned dog who was avoided by others.
She couldn't do anything but beg Sheila, hoping the latter could help her.
"What? One million?" Sheila heard Rebecca want that much money, her expression changing instantly. "How greedy you are! How can I get so much money for you?"
"Please help me, Sheila. I have lost everything. You must help me." Rebecca tried to grab the last life-saving chance for herself.
"I only have this much. Keep it."
Rebecca let out a laugh when seeing the two thousand bucks on the table.
"Don't forget you've asked me to do those things," Rebecca squeezed the words between her teeth while glaring at Sheila in hatred.
"Go ahead to tell others. Let's see who's gonna believe you now. Oh, no. Even if you speak, no one will listen." Since Rebecca had been banned by Luxstar, no media in the entertainment business dared to report anything about her.
Only then did Rebecca find that she had been tricked by Sheila, but it was too late.
Bonnie found a commercial for Eva, a clothing advertisement for an affordable luxury brand. Their former spokeswoman's contract had expired, so Bonnie managed to get the opportunity for Eva.
Eva was fond of that brand. It wasn't high-end, but the clothes were popular among the youngsters.
She would shoot the commercial with a handsome young model. Eva arrived at the appointed film set in the early morning. After a short while, the staff got the scene ready. Since they would film the outdoor scene, Eva dressed up outdoor as well.
The staff could meet a good-tempered artist once in a blue moon, so they all praised Eva. If it were another actress, she would make a fuss about dressing up outdoor.
"Stand closer. Closer..." the photographer instructed Eva and the model to adjust their postures while shooting the photos. "Look into each other's eyes as if you are in love, dotingly and sweetly."
Eva and the model slightly adjusted their gestures. Under the sea breeze, Eva's brightly red skirt floated along with the wind.
She looked at the man in front in happiness, and the latter stared at her in affection.[]
