She actually hoped Alex wouldn't show up tonight, so the adoption process could go smoothly. Just then, Nancy came over. Seeing Layton's expression, she knew that Alex hadn't been found. Nancy turned to Evan, the butler, and asked, "Is there any news from the people who went out?"

Evan replied, "They haven't reported back yet."

Everyone else was standing in the hall.

Guided by the host, Ellie followed Evan and came up to Carlos.

Diana dismissed her with a scoff. "Idiot."
