Chapter 6 Anna’s Charm

William hesitated for a moment and then glanced at her. He seemed doubtful at first, but he quickly nodded in agreement.

Anna took two steps forward and knocked on the door. She said to Justin inside the room, “Sweetie, dinner is ready. If you don’t come out soon, it’ll get cold. How about coming out now?”

There were faint noises from inside the room, but the door remained closed.

Then Anna continued, “I’ve had a long day, and I’m really hungry. How about coming out to eat with me? Otherwise, I might get a stomach ache later and need to see a doctor and take medicines. That will be so unfortunate.”

After a moment of silence, the door finally opened, revealing a small face.

William was somewhat surprised.

Usually, it took Justin a week or more to calm down when he was upset.

Even when the whole family tried to coax him, it was of no use.

He never expected Anna to make Justin compromise with just a few words.

William couldn’t help but glance at the woman beside him.

Anna didn’t notice and happily brought Justin out. Then she said, “Justin, you’re such a good boy. Let’s go eat.”

Justin nodded, not even looking at William. Then he sat back in his chair and was ready to eat.

Anna noticed William standing there. He seemingly didn’t object. Then Anna asked politely, “Mr. Parker, have you eaten? Would you like to join us?”

It was just a polite offer, but to her surprise, William replied, “Sure. Thank you.”

Anna was taken aback. She thought to herself, “Well. You’re not quite shy.”

Fortunately, Anna had cooked extra food that night, so she immediately went to get an extra plate and fork. Then she said, “If you’re not used to it, you can eat out later.”

William calmly picked up a piece of ribs and took a bite. Then he said, “The taste is great.”

After hearing that, Anna breathed a sigh of relief.

The dinner continued with a somewhat awkward atmosphere, especially with a stranger sitting across from her.

It was their first meeting, and the situation was quite strange.

Fortunately, Justin was there. Anna occasionally peeled a shrimp for him, fed him some food, and wiped his mouth, which helped divert her attention.

After finishing dinner, Anna cleared the table and brewed some coffee for the father and son to help with digestion.

After that, she thought to herself, “They are probably going to leave soon, right?”

William seemed to sense her thoughts and said, “Thank you for dinner, Ms. Jenkins. It’s getting late. I should take Justin home.”

After hearing that, Anna breathed a sigh of relief.

She thought he might stay.

So she quickly replied, “You’re welcome. It’s just one meal.”

However, after Justin heard that, he immediately panicked. He grabbed Anna’s leg and looked at his dad with a wary expression. “I’m not going back. I want to stay with Anna.”

William furrowed his brow. Then he said, “No more nonsense. You’ve already bothered her all day.”

“I like Anna, and I want to sleep with her.”

Justin said stubbornly as he held onto Anna even tighter.

Anna was taken aback.

She had sensed that Justin liked her during the day, but she didn’t expect him to want to stay and sleep with her.

Seeing William’s displeased expression, Anna quickly tried to persuade Justin. She said, “Justin, you should go back. Otherwise, your grandparents will worry.”

“I don’t want to. Anna, I want to sleep with you.”

Justin tilted his head back with his red eyes. He was really adorable, with tears shimmering in his eyes.

Anna’s heart ached.

Seeing Justin’s expression, she couldn’t bear to send him away.

All her attempts to persuade him were stuck in her throat, and her eyes subconsciously turned to William.

She wondered if keeping Justin with her would make William feel like she was trying to climb the social ladder.

William was also surprised by how dependent Justin had become on a woman he had just met.

However, he remained resolute, saying, “Come with me!”

He couldn’t leave Justin alone with a woman he had known for less than a day.

Anna could sense William’s thoughts and had to make a tough decision. She said firmly, “Justin, if you want to come back in the future, you’re always welcome, but I really don’t have a place for you to sleep tonight. It’s better if you go back with your dad, okay?”

Justin vigorously shook his head, refusing to give in.

William lacked patience. He stepped forward and lifted Justin, saying, “There should be limits to throwing a tantrum. Don’t take advantage of my indulgence.”

Justin choked up at this scolding. He glared at his father and refused to compromise.

William didn’t want to spoil Justin. He turned to Anna and said, “I apologize for the disturbance tonight, Ms. Jenkins.”
