Chapter Redmption 319
Chapter 319
So, no matter what happened, I had to let it go for now.
Ellie was such a pure girl, but she was also sensitive. I couldn't let my emotions affect her.
By the time Brandon and Ellie came back, I had already finished the mushroom soup and even stole some soup from Brandon's bowl.
Since I was stealing food from Brandon, Ellie naturally assumed that Brandon and I hadn't had a fight after all.
They both seemed a bit surprised by my actions, staring at me.
I put a spoonful of mushroom soup in my mouth. Then, I said with a slightly embarrassed tone, "I think I could have another bowl."
"I'll go make some more right now!" Ellie first looked surprised, then a little flustered.
"No need, let her finish mine," Brandon said, offering me his bowl.
There was no way I could have another bowl. I winked at him and took a spoonful. "I'll just have a couple more spoonfuls."
"Then let's share," Brandon said as he took the spoon from my hand and drank the soup.
I was stunned, but Ellie burst into laughter. "Mae, the way you two are feeding each other is so sweet!"
That was when I realized Brandon had figured out my intention and was playing along with me.
Ellie was completely won over by our act, and her mood brightened again. Brandon and I kept up the charade, taking turns feeding each other until we finished the whole bowl of soup. As Brandon washed the dishes, Ellie pulled me aside. "Mae, I've changed the bedsheets for you both, and your toiletries are ready. If you need anything else, just let me know." "Thank you, Ellie," I said, grateful for her kindness and attentiveness. I could only express my thanks this
way.
I could tell that Ellie really liked me, so the best way to return her affection was to show her that I was undoubtedly her Mae.
Ellie then turned to Brandon. "Bran, you need to hurry up and marry Mae. If someone else takes her away,
I won't stand for it."
"Hmm, as soon as you're better, I'll marry her," Brandon responded naturally.
Ellie was about to say something when Brandon added, "Mae is sleeping with you tonight. Make sure you don't kick her in your sleep."
Both Ellie and I froze.
He was sending me to sleep with Ellie instead of him.
Ellie glanced at me before saying, "Bran, Mae should sleep with you."
"We're not married yet. It wouldn't be appropriate for her to sleep with me." Brandon's words nearly made my jaw drop.
This sneaky man! The double standards!
Before we came here, he insisted on holding me to sleep even if nothing else happened between us.
Now that we were here, he suddenly wanted to act like a gentleman in front of Ellie and insisted on separate rooms?
"A girl should know how to protect herself," Brandon added, clearly using me as an example to teach Ellie not to give herself to a man too easily.
However, just earlier, when Ellie was reading her romance novel, she asked me if Brandon and I had kissed. And I already told her...
"Bran, you don't need to use this as a lesson to teach me. I understand. Besides, if Mae sleeps with me, can you even sleep?" Ellie quipped, making Brandon look at me. His ears turned slightly red as he mumbled, "I'll sleep just fine."
"Oh," I replied. "Then I wish you sweet dreams."
Brandon shot me a look, but I just linked arms with Ellie. "Let Brandon clean up. Let's go to bed."
