Chapter 60
Chapter 60
Faced with Caroline’s accusation, Harry felt weak and panicked. But he pretended to be calm.
“Of course not! Caroline: Herbert is my son. How can I not be anxious about his disappearance? Look, Daddy’s hair has turned white from anxiety!”
Harry pretended to be a loving father. Caroline snorted, “As long as I find my brother, I’ll know the truth! Just wait and see!”
Caroline did not continue to stay in the Lewis residence. She walked past Harry and went downstairs.
No one asked her to stay as she left. Melissa and Yvonne stared at Caroline angrily, hoping she would get lost quickly.
Caroline walked downstairs and met Bridget.
Bridget was leaning on a walking stick. When she saw Caroline coming down, she said, “Caroline, Yvonne said you’re earning money now and wearing branded clothes.
“Now that you’re married into the Ziegler family, why didn’t you bring anything when you came home this time? Are you still empty–handed?”
“Then what should I do?” Caroline asked, walking down from above.
“You should learn more from Yvonne. Yvonne is not married but always comes back home with gifts. You’re old enough and married. You should bring some gifts back to show filial piety to us,” Bridget reminded.
Did she actually take the initiative to ask Caroline for a gift?
Huh…
Some people were still so disgusting even when they were old!
Ever since Caroline could remember, she had not been close to Bridget. Bridget was particularly mean to her mother and was picky and abusive.
Caroline’s mother often cried and grieved back then because Bridget was too cruel.
“Grandma, what do you want me to bring back?” asked Caroline.
“Anything would be fine. How can the Ziegler family lack good things?”
Caroline stared at Bridget coldly. “The Ziegler family doesn’t lack good things. The key is, what do you lack?”
Bridget smiled and said, “Actually, I don’t lack anything. But if the Ziegler family have nutritional supplements or high–quality coffee, bring some back.”
“Do you have any shame?” asked Caroline.
Caroline’s sudden question stunned Bridget. “What?” Bridget asked.
“In my opinion, you’re wicked!” said Caroline.
“You, you, you…”
Before Bridget could say anything, Caroline sneered again.
“Grandma, don’t worry. Although I come back without a gift, I’ll definitely send you ten large wreaths when you die.”
“If ten wreaths aren’t enough, then a hundred!
“I will surely let you die peacefully and happily!”
Bridget was furious when she heard what Caroline said. “Caroline, what are you saying?” she said. “Are you trying to piss me off? How Rude! The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree!”
Bridget was so mad that her hands were trembling-
Lydia’s daughter was really out of control. Bridget used to hate Lydia, but now she realized that Caroline was even more annoying than her mother.
The more Bridget looked at Caroline, the more frustrated she felt!
“Bridget. I’m speaking in human language. Don’t you understand?
“Also, lack of upbringing is the fault of the father. My father didn’t teach me well. Who taught my father? Isn’t it your responsibility?
“If I am not good, wouldn’t I blame an evil woman like you?”
Chapter 60
Caroline showed Bridget no mercy. There were no such things as respecting the old and loving the young in the Lewis family!
“Stupid girl. You’re really… infuriating me!
“I’m your grandmother and your elder. How dare you talk back to me when I say something about you? Do you need a
lesson?”
Bridget raised her walking stick and was about to hit Caroline. She had hit Caroline many times when Caroline was little.
But now that Caroline had grown up. Did Bridget think she could still hit and scold Caroline like before?
No way!
The walking stick fell, but it did not hit Caroline. Instead, Caroline caught it steadily.
Caroline suddenly pulled the walking stick and bent it hard. With a crack, the walking stick was broken in half by her.
She threw the broken walking stick in front of Bridget and sneered. “Old thing! Try hitting me one more time!”
“Ouch… Ouch…
Bridget was furious. She held onto the railing and clutched her chest. It seemed like she was about to have a heart attack.
“Hmph!”
With a snort, Caroline walked right past her and out.
Melissa and Harry came down from upstairs. When they saw Bridget sitting on the ground, they hurriedly ran over.
“Mom, Mom. Are you okay?”
They helped Bridget up, and Bridget complained with trembling hands.
“Caroline, that girl… she rebelled… My walking stick… rebelled… rebelled…
Harry said angrily. The damn girl is really getting more and more overboard!”
Harry was a filial son who listened to his mother, so he was furious when he saw Caroline bullying Bridget.
He had to find a way to teach the girl a lesson!
“Mom, she broke your walking stick! That’s outrageous!”
Melissa was shocked to see the broken walking stick on the ground.
“I can’t take it anymore… I can’t take it anymore… Bridget collapsed.
Harry was terrified. He quickly carried his mother and ran toward the hospital.
Melissa and the others followed. They were secretly pleased.
At this rate, it would be impossible for Caroline to return to the Lewis family, let alone enter the company.
So long as Caroline didn’t return home, who would compete with her children?
At the Ziegler residence in Tanglevine Residence.
To facilitate access, Quintin moved from the master bedroom upstairs to a room on the first floor.
Everything in the room was packed. Some places even had workers install the handrails to help Quintin get up.
Flynn asked, “Do we need to move down the bed Ms. Lewis built?”
“Move what? Who wants to live with her?” said Quintin.
“Okay. I won’t move it then,” said Flynn..
From Quintin’s tone, Flynn could tell that Quintin was displeasure from head to toe. Quintin had been in a bad mood since Flynn returned this morning to report that he had lost his tail on Caroline.
After a while, Quintin could not help but ask again, “Is Caroline’s number still unreachable?”
“Yes. Ms. Lewis’s number can’t be reached as long as she goes out,” answered Flynn.
Quintin said, “Is the woman here to take care of me? She doesn’t take me seriously at all!”
Quintin took a deep breath. His handsome face was filled with displeasure. In the morning, he asked Flynn to follow Caroline and see whom she would meet during the day.
In the end, Flynn lost her in ten minutes. After that, Quintin couldn’t get through to her on the phone. She was like a kite

with a broken string, and there was no way to track her downL
As long as Quintin thought about how Caroline might find different types of men when she went out, Quintin would feel anxious and crazy.
At this moment, Michael came over to inform Quintin. “Mr. Ziegler, Mrs. Catherine asked you over.”
Quintin didn’t know what it was about. He ordered Flynn, Push me over!”
“Yes, sir!” said Flynn.
Soon, they arrived at the main hall of the Ziegler residence. Michael reported, “Mrs. Catherine, Mr. Ziegler is already here.
Quintin was wearing sunglasses and could not see. He could only rely on his senses and memory to locate Catherine. “Grandma, why did you call me over?”
Catherine sat in the high chair, and her great–grandson Mayson sat beside her.
Jennifer was also present. Without waiting for her grandma to speak, Jennifer said, “Quintin, you misunderstood Caroline
this time!”
“What do you mean?” asked Quintin.
Catherine explained. “Quintin, I’ve gotten someone to investigate the matter.
“The reason Caroline asked Leo to drop out of school was because the teachers in the school also despised Leo’s inability to speak.
“They said that Leo was mute and refused to let him participate in the class. Leo was also punished for sitting on the toilet. for more than 40 minutes in front of so many children in the classroom.
“Tell me, is this how they educate the children?”
Quintin was somewhat surprised and fell into silence after hearing that.
Catherine continued. The school and the teachers like that don’t deserve to teach Leo. I think Caroline did the right thing of dropping out of Leo.”
As Caroline walked into the main hall, she overheard Catherine upholding justice for her.
When Jennifer saw Caroline return, she said, “Hey, Quintin! Caroline just got back. Don’t you owe her an apology for indiscriminately assaulting her last night?”
