Chapter 54
Caroline’s sudden mention of what happened eighteen years ago was equivalent to touching Quintin’s sensitive nerves
The last thing he wanted to mention was what happened eighteen years ago. It was an incurable wound for him.
“Who asked you to mention it? Who asked you to mention it again? What does this have to do with you? Don’t think that just because you have that agreement with me, you can try to interfere in the affairs of our Ziegler family!”
A faint anger gathered in Quintin’s heart. His chest heaved violently after he shouted these words angrily
Looking at the man’s outburst, Caroline knew she had upset him again. “Okay. I was being nosy! Just pretend that I didn’t say anything!”
Caroline pushed Quintin and strolled into the garden. After a while. Quintin asked, “Who’s here“”
His eyes could not see, but his ears were sharp. He heard the footsteps approaching them in the distance.
Caroline also heard the footsteps. She turned around and saw that Michael had brought people over. They quickly approached them.
Michael did not expect Quintin to come out. He said in surprise, “Mr. Ziegler, you came downstairs? Mrs. Ziegler, when did Mr. Ziegler get his leg cast off? Did you help him remove it?”
“Michael” I did it myself. What are you doing here so late at night?” Quintin asked.
“Oh. Mrs.Catherine asked me to come over and ask if Mrs. Ziegler helped Leon with his dropout procedures”
That’s right. It’s me.”
Caroline replied.
When Quintin heard about it, he frowned and said, “Caroline? Why did you get the dropout procedures for Leo? What are you doing?
It would be a lie to say that he was not angry. Ever since the woman came to the Ziegler family, she had almost turned the house upside down.
Now, without even telling them, she actually applied for his son to drop out of school? It was too much!
“I have my reasons, Caroline said briefly.
“What reasons do you have? You’re not Leo’s biological mother or guardian. What right do you have to get the dropout procedures for him?”
Quintin was about to be enraged by the woman’s unconventional way of doing things.
Seeing that the two of them were arguing, Michael said, “Mrs Ziegler, why don’t you go to Mrs. Catherine now and make things clear in person?”
“Sure, Michael, Caroline agreed.
‘Stop calling her Mrs. Ziegler! There’s no Mrs. Ziegler here! She’s just a temporary maid! Michael! You pushed me!” said Quintin angrily, frowning heavily.
Michael did not dare to disobey Quintin’s orders and pushed his wheelchair.
Looking at the back of the angry man, Caroline restrained her temper.
She kept telling herself that she was only here to repay his kindness and not to live with him.
He had never treated her as an equal but as a temporary maid. She did not have to affect her mood because of him. However, Caroline came to a conclusion from this matter. Women should never be too proactive. Otherwise, they would become worthless in front of men
In the main hall of the Ziegler family, Catherine and the others were still awake because Mayson had dropped out of school. The news was obtained from Amelia and Romilly When it reached Carmen’s ears, Carmen told Catherine what had happened
Catherine only learned about the news, so she wanted to ask Caroline what was the reason for it
Could it be that after Caroline had beaten Yasun, the Queen family had apologized on the surface and secretly pulled strings to force Leo to drop out of school
Michael pushed Quintin in. Everyone was shocked when they saw Quintin appear.
“Oh, my God. Why did my brother pop out?” Jennifer cried out in surprise.
When Carmen saw Quintin had removed his cast and was sitting in a wheelchair, wearing sunglasses with a cold expression as if he had recovered, she said in surprise, “No way. Quintin has recovered, and his cast has been removed?”

Amelia also looked at Quintin in surprise. “Quintin recovered so quickly?”
Catherine was surprised. “Quintin, was your cast removed? Great. It looks like you’re recovering well.”
Quintin was not here to show off his legs to them. He asked, “Grandma, what exactly is going on with Leo dropping out of school?”
“Oh, we just heard the news. Your aunt Amelia and the others heard from the school that Leo has completed his dropout procedure today. I don’t know what’s going on either, so I wanted to ask Caroline,” Catherine said.
Then Carmen said, “Caroline, although you married into our family to wash away the bad luck, there are some things you should do and not do. Do you understand? Your main duty is to take good care of Quintin. As for Leo’s studies, it’s not your place to ask.”
Amelia added, “The Eureka Kindergarten is the best one in Jipsdale. Isn’t it a joke to drop out of it just like that?”
Everyone looked at Caroline. Jennifer also wanted to ask. “Caroline, what’s on earth going on? Are you hiding something?”
Caroline said calmly. “There’s nothing to hide. I think that school is not suitable for Leo to attend. The quality of the teachers is too poor. Not only does Leo learn nothing there, but he is also traumatized.”
Carmen didn’t agree with her. “Caroline, you said that Eureka Kindergarten’s teachers are poor. Did I hear wrongly? It is the best kindergarten in Jipsdale and has first–rate facilities and teachers. You actually said that they’re poor? How can you
tell that they’re poor?”
Amelia jeered, “That’s right. Kent, Bryan, and Zayden are all there. Zayden is there, too. They can teach Zayden to be a prodigy, and the Xydias family didn’t say that Eureka Kindergarten’s teachers are poor, did they?”
These women attacked Caroline together, but Caroline did not fly into a rage. Instead, she patiently explained to Catherine and the others.
“I know. But that’s for healthy children. Leo can’t speak, which can cause problems in communication. Teachers can’t treat everyone equally, and there will always be deviations!”
Carmen said, “What you said makes sense, but it doesn’t mean you can let Leo drop out of school because of it, can you?
“Back then, the Ziegler family decided to send Leo to school so that he could integrate into the group. After all, he couldn’t stay at home forever. If you let him quit his school now, what would happen to him in the future?
“Such a young child doesn’t go to school. Do you keep him to make trouble at home all day? Don’t you think your actions. are inappropriate? You’re not Leo’s legal guardian!”
“Who said I…..”
Caroline almost wanted to defend herself in public that she was Leo’s mother, his biological mother. She was his legal guardian.
However, Quintin interrupted her before she could say anything. “Okay, stop arguing. It’s indeed difficult for Leo to blend into the group. It’s not a bad thing to drop out. Next, I can hire the best teachers to educate him at home. As for you, Caroline, don’t interfere in Leo’s matters from now on!”
“What do you mean?”
Caroline felt a suffocating pain in her heart.
“I mean that you’re married into the Ziegler family to wash away the bad luck. When I get better, you’ll have to leave the Ziegler family. Leo is my son. I don’t want him to have any dependence on you, so I also want you to keep a distance from him every day. Do you understand?”
