Chapter 9: Her Family Wanted to Drive Her Away
Spencer rushed out of the room directly. Lukas and Harrisdidn't expect that she would leave immediately.
Harrisasked, "Mr. Lukas, do you want to send someone to chase after Miss Spencer?"
Lukas took back the sight of looking at the door, thought about it and said, "No."
The little girl must be in a mess. She needed to be calm.
She might want to find Charlotte and ask her. It was better let her go.
Harris asked again, " How to deal with Charlotte and Samuel?"
Lukas narrowed his eyes, " Don't do anything at first."
He was going to punish them sooner or later.
Lukas stood up, poured himself a glass of top red wine on the table, picked up the transparent goblet. Then he went to the French window and looked at the scenery of K City.
Harris followed him. He was surprised. He thought Lukas would take acts.
After all, Lukas had a strong desire for possession of his own field.
Spencer was his fiancee. There was no reason for him to keep calm when his fiancee was drugged.
Harris stopped thinking about it as he couldn't figure it out. Then, he heard the voice of Lukas, "delete that monitoring, don't leave any trace."
"Yes." Harris nodded immediately.
Sure enough, Lukas still so possessive of his own field.
Harris took out a metal tablet computer and handed it to Lukas, "This is the video of Master Powell. He has called to urge us."
Lukas did not take it over. He just looked at the document which Spencer didn't open on desk.
"Tell Master Powell I have found the man and I will be as soon as I can."
Lukas drank the red wine in glass and looked out of the window. He had no intention of watching the video.
Harris sighed and filled his empty glass in silence.
After Spencer came out of the hotel, she took a taxi and went back to the Sharp villa.
The Sharp's villa was a European style three story building. The whole villa was mainly white and looked pure and noble. Outside the villa was a beautiful garden.
Spencer entered the gate, through the garden, and saw a pink cartoon suitcase at the door of the house.
That was her suitcase for a long journey. How could it be left at the door?
A bad premonition came to her mind with a pause in her steps.
With doubts and that bad premonition, Spencer walked into the door and saw two familiar figures sitting on the sofa.
Spencer felt that they were waiting for her to come back.
The luggage was left at the door, which made her think more.
She greeted them politely, "Uncle, auntie, I'm back."
The two people on the sofa looked back and saw the visitor with the same disgust in their eyes.
Seeing the obvious hate in their eyes, Spencer felt very terrible.
Living together for more than ten years, they had never looked at her like this.
Spencer asked, "Why is my suitcase at the door?"
"Of course, to let you move out."
Phoebe, her aunt, was cutting the apple slowly, as if to say that the weather was fine today.
However, Spencer was stunned. She didn't respond. After a while, she asked, "Move out? Where?"
Spencer's uncle put down his newspaper and waved to her like a fly.
"Yes, move out. As for where to go, it's your business. We can't control where you move. In short, you can't come back to our Sharp family. From now on, you're not a member of the Sharp family. You can't be named Sharp in the future. Leave here quickly."
With that, Taylor picked up the newspaper and read it again. It seemed that he didn't want to pay attention to her.
Spencer's family had been away for decades. Where could she go?
When she first came into the door and saw the trunk, she felt a little uneasy.
It turned out that she was going to be driven away.
What did she do wrong? Why were they going to drive her out of the house like this?
The feelings in their eyes were not only disgust but also hatred.
She felt that her world was about to collapse. What made them change their attitude towards her?
Thinking of what Charlotte had done to her, she calmed down, "I will not leave. I have lived here for more than ten years, and here is my home."
She was an orphan, and she knew it the time.
But she did not feel that she was an orphan, because her grandfather gave her enough love.
They had been getting along very well for the past decade or so, and she thought they were a family.
But at this moment, they were driving her away?
They drove her away from the home where she had lived for more than ten years.
No, she wouldn't leave. This was her only home.
Spencer raised her head firmly and told them seriously, "I will not leave this home."
Phoebe put down the half cut apple and fruit knife suddenly. She stood up with a unhappy look.
She pointed at Spencer and said, "You lost to all sense of shame. The old man has passed away. No one can protect you. Now we have the final say in this family. We want you to leave. You must leave. Don't be a shameless Lai to eat Bai He in our summer home."
Taylor also put down the newspaper in his hand, and his tone was indifferent, " You are just adopted by my father, a wild child that no one wants."
"The Sharp family has provided you with food and clothing for more than ten years. We are extremely kind. If you still remember the kindness of the Sharp family to you, get out of here quickly!"
Phoebe echoed, "Yes, no one wants you. You have been relying on the Sharp family for so many years, but still unsatisfied. If I were you, I would have gone. You are really shameless."
Since Master Sharp brought the wild child back more than ten years ago, he had given her all the good things. He is even better to her than his true granddaughter. This was what she hated Spencer most.
Why did Master Sharp treat an outsider better than his own granddaughter? He even wanted to leave his property to an outsider.
Bah, Master Sharp had died, but was still thinking about the street urchin.
Phoebethought she would not let Spencer take a cent of the Sharp family.
Her words like street urchin made Spencer stunned.
They called her a street urchin?
Were they still her family who had lived with her for more than ten years?
Why were they so strange?
Spencer trembled. She felt that the liquid in her eyes would overflow. She bit her lips and forced her tears back.
"But I am also a member of the Sharp family,! My surname is Sharp, and I have lived with you for more than ten years. How can you drive me away so easily?"
As soon as she finished speaking, Taylorstood up with a gloomy look, "I said that from now on, you are not a member of the Sharp family. Do you understand my words?
Taylor felt Spencer was so shameless to say her surname was Sharp. As an outsider, she wanted to share the Sharp family's prosperity with him.
Phoebe's voice was sharp and she was impatient, "If Master Sharp didn't spoil you, I would have driven you out. I would not wait until now."
"Since you were a child, you like to argue with Charlotte. You should have something she has, but she doesn't have what you have. Relying on the favor of Master Sharp, people who don't know may think you are my own child."
She said in distant, "Charlotte is the daughter of the Sharp family, you are a street urchin that nobody wants."
It was another street urchin that knocked directly on Spencer's heart, which made her too pain to breath.
Spencer was helpless, "But we have gotten along well before."befo
Taylorsat on sofa and began to smoke.
He shook the ash and said in a little pain, "To tell you the truth, we have long wanted to drive you out, but because my father stopped, we couldn't."
At first, he thought she was pathetic and agreed to take her in.
But after a long time, Master Sharp was getting better and better to her. It had to make him wonder whether Master Sharp had an illegitimate son outside. Spencer was the daughter of the illegitimate son. Otherwise, how could Master Sharp leave all the property of the Sharp family to Spencer.
He also heard that a few years ago when Master Sharp made a will when he passed the study. At that time, he wanted to drive Spencer out of the Sharp family immediately.
Phoebesneered and said, "I've wanted to drive you out for a long time, but I haven't had a chance."
She leaned on the sofa and looked at the nails that she had gone to make yesterday. She laughed with satisfaction, "Now, Master Sharp is dead, and the Lam family has cancelled the engagement with you. Finally, we can drive you out of the house. The air in this house will be much better!"
Spencer felt cold all over her body. Originally, they didn't like her from she came here at the first time.
All these years, they had been thinking about getting rid of her all the time.
There was no one else but her grandfather.
When her grandfather was alive, they treated her like a family. After her grandfather died, they were not as intimate with her as before, but they always got along very well. Unlike now, everything changed.
If they really hated her so much, why did they drive her out until now? Her grandfather had been dead for a few months?
Spencer didn't understand, but Phoebe's next sentence let her understand.
Phoebe looked proud, "The Lam family has cancelled the engagement, you can also leave this home."
"Samuel is going to marry Charlotte. Charlotte will be Mrs. Lam."
