Love Comes To Me

Chapter 1333: Hedonism

"I won't!"

Earlene's emotions flared and she pointed to Paulina, who was sitting not far away, her face twisted, "Bitch! She's a bitch! If she hadn't come, you wouldn't have changed your mind!" At these words, Mark's face became even more grim, and his aura was overwhelming.

The angry Earlene continued, "Paulina, it's you! If it weren't for you, Marcos would have married me! You're such a bitch!"

Without waiting for Marcos to get angry, Paulina strides over and raises her hand to slap Earlene.

Slap!

Earlene's face tilted to the side, her hair falling over her face, hiding her expression.

Paulina looks at her coldly, trying to control her emotions, "Earlene, you really are shameless! How can you justify stealing someone else's husband?"

"How dare you hit me!"

Earlene was so angry that she raised her hand to hit back.

Mark hastened to restrain her hand, "If you touch her, I will not forgive you."

His voice was as cold as frost on a cold winter day.

Even the angry Earlene shuddered, but reluctantly raised her head and glared at him, "Don't forget that I saved you in the first place! Without me, how could you have been reunited with them?". Mark pushed her hand away, "You saved me? Yes, you saved me, but you tried to erase my past in a despicable way."

"That's because I love you!" Earlene explained dryly, "Can't you see how I feel about you, Marcos, if you have any conscience at all, you'll come with me?"

"He can't go with you, you're dead in the water." Paulina said coldly.

Even though Marcos had not yet regained his memory, he already knew what Earlene had done, and there was no way he was going back to the Bartram family.

"Rawlins, are you just going to stand there and watch me get bullied?" Earlene turned her head to the side, and her stern gaze shifted to Rawlins, who stood silently off to the side.

Rawlins clenched and unclenched his fist and stepped forward, "Mark, I think you know very well in your heart how much my sister means to you. If you are still a man, you should not fail her." Hearing this, Paulina let out a laugh and said sarcastically, "Rawlins, don't you even feel guilty for saying such things? If it wasn't for your sister, Mark wouldn't have been separated from me and the baby for so long." Rawlins was silent.

He hadn't really wanted to help Earlene, which was why he had chosen to observe in silence from the beginning.

Even when she had been slapped by Paulina, he had not defended her.

Because, he had wanted to see her die completely.

But now it seemed that simply wasn't possible.

"That's your fault too." Earlene said, "If it wasn't for you, Mark wouldn't have gotten into trouble and wouldn't have had to be saved by me. In the end, it's all your fault." Yes, it was all her fault.

Paulina's anger suddenly subsided.

Fearful of her guilt, Marcos was quick to take her hand in his and whisper, "Don't listen to her, it's not your fault. It never was."

"Marcos," Paulina turned her head to look at him, the tip of her nose twitching.

"Rawlins," Marcos looked at Rawlins, "if you still want the Bartram family to be okay, then let it go."

Rawlins heard the implication of his words and hesitated, then had a choice.

"Earlene, forget it. There are better people in the world than him, aren't there?"

Seeing him turn his head for advice, Earlene recoiled angrily, "Rawlins, are you crazy? I'm your sister, why are you helping them persuade me?"

"Because I don't want you to make the same mistake over and over again." Rawlins took a deep breath, "Earlene, give it up."

"No way!" Earlene's voice rose an octave as she stared at Mark, "There's no way I'm giving up unless I die."

Seeing that she was still being stubborn, Rawlins had no choice but to pull on her with all his might, despite her struggles.

"Rawlins, let go of me! Let go of me!" Earlene struggled, trying to free herself from Rawlins' shackles.

Rawlins opened the car door and pushed her straight into the car, turning behind her.

"Drive!"

Before the driver could react to what was happening, he heard a command and rushed to start the car.

"Rawlins, I hate you! I hate you!" Earlene roared hysterically, her eyes red-rimmed with so much rage that her whole face looked a little grim.

It hurt Rawlins to see her like this, "Earlene, why are you doing this, he doesn't love you, and even if he goes away with you, it doesn't change the fact that he's Paulina's husband!"

"I don't care, I love him!" Earlene gritted her teeth with hatred, "I'm not giving up! I'm going to kill Paulina!"

Only when Paulina was dead would Marcos return to her side.

Rawlins hadn't expected her to say such a thing, his face was filled with disbelief, "Are you crazy, do you know what you're talking about?"

How had she become so horrible?

Earlene turned her head and a grimace curved the corners of her mouth, "Rawlins, you better leave me alone or I won't let you go." Rawlins' heart was in shock, it suddenly felt so strange, how had she twisted his psyche this way?

...

"Finally, he's gone." Paulina let out a huge sigh of relief.

She turned her head to look at the two children and found them sitting obediently, anger written all over their two little baby faces. "What's wrong?" she asked quietly.

"That aunt is horrible!" Sweety snorted, "I hate her!"

"I hate her too!" Esteban interjected.

Paulina lost her smile, "She's not coming back."

"Really?" Sweety asked uncertainly, "Is it true that she's not coming back for daddy anymore?"

"No." Paulina pursed her lips, "She knows your dad won't go with her, so she's not coming back."

"That's good." Sweety and Esteban sighed in unison with relief.

After the two little ones ran off to play with their toys, Marcos asked slowly, "Do you really think she won't come back?"

Paulina turned her head to look at him, "You don't think so?".

"From what I know about her, I'm afraid she doesn't give up that easily."

At that, Paulina was not pleased, "Then you know her very well."

At the sight of her jealousy, Marcos' mouth lifted in a helpless smile, "You think wrong, I just know she has no scruples or she wouldn't have drugged me." Paulina's brow furrowed, "So what do we do, do we move?".

"No need. I'll protect you and the baby." said Marcos.

Paulina smiled happily, "Well, there's nothing to be afraid of with you around."

As long as he was around, she was not afraid even of demons and monsters. Marcos smiled and took her in his arms, "That said, we still have to be careful." Paulina nodded in his arms, "Good."
