Chapter 6 A Tough Woman
"Humph!" Finally, Jacob snorted and strode to the door.
She seldom saw her son being so obedient.
'Damn it! I've been smiling from ear to ear. What should I do?'
"The staff will help you change your clothes. I've arranged two suits of clothes and jewelry for you. You can check whether you like them or not. Of course, these have been bought by Jonny. You can take them home."
Should Donna say that she loved this lovely girl to death?
The two purple evening dresses were so beautiful.
She said sincerely, "Thank you very much. Please be my guest tonight and let me treat you a meal."
Cherry's temple twitched. "I'm sorry, aunt. I have to be here tonight. I can't leave until all the guests leave. I'm in charge."
"That's good." Donna blurted out unconsciously.
"Good?" Cherry frowned.
"I mean, if you are here, I'm not afraid of any problem.
There shouldn't be any problem." "Don't worry. Everything will be okay.'
Sure enough, everything was right.
From the guests entering the venue, holding her husband's hand, to the dishes on the plate, to the music and warm pictures played on the LED screen, everything was flawless. Donna's heart melted with satisfaction. No matter what she said, she would let Cherry sit next to her.
"No, no, no." Cherry refused at once.
This was the position of the family. Besides, there was a handsome guy next to her. She didn't want to 'enjoy' the cold and comfortable feeling in this kind of weather.
"I still have a task to do. I'll disturb you when I sit with you. I'll go to the staff's desk. "
Jacob looked at her indifferently.
He was surprised.
Since such a woman could arrange the whole banquet in such an orderly way, why did she have to be a hostess?
However, he lowered his eyes. She was working in the entertainment circle, and maybe she was happy in it.
"Oh, I don't know when it will be finished. Cherry, let my son drive you home, okay?" Donna rolled her eyes and came up with another idea.
"No, thanks." Cherry refused again, "I can drive myself."
Donna quickly picked up a glass of white wine and poured it into Jacob's mouth in front of everyone.
"Mom... What are you doing?"
"Oh my God!" "I forgot that you were driving, I made you drunk. The police will publish you for drunk driving if you drive. What should you do? Who can send you back?"
She looked around the table, but no one dared to speak in front of their brother's livid face.
"Well, Miss Cherry, do you mind sending my son back?" Satisfied, Donna looked at Cherry and blinked her eyes two times.
"Uh..." Before Cherry could say no, Jacob said coldly, "No, thanks. There is a taxi outside. I can take a taxi home." He took out a piece of tissue and slowly wiped off the wine spilled all over his face. Cherry rolled her eyes and said, "Actually, I don't mind. We're on the same way. Besides, Mr. Nelson and I have met before. He should be very relieved with my driving skill." Jacob narrowed his eyes.
Donna was so happy, "Thank you, Cherry. My son just doesn't like to talk."
"Yes, he likes to quarrel." Cherry smiled, bowed to her and said goodbye. Then she turned around and left.
"Mom, what are you doing?" The people at the table tried their best not to laugh out, but only Jacob looked a little embarrassed. "If you do this, people will misunderstand!"
"My son." Donna's eyes suddenly filled with tears. "Do you want to tell me that you are only interested in men?"
"No..." Jacob took a deep breath.
What did her mother think of?
"That's good. If you let someone drive you, you will lose a piece of meat?" Donna clapped her hands with satisfaction, picked up the glass, and held the old man's hand. "Come on, York, let's toast to the guests together!"
As soon as their parents left, the girls and boys burst into laughter.
Especially Richard, his youngest brother, who had just entered the University. He was a standard freshman, and now he was laughing happily.
"Shut up!" Jacob glanced at them coldly.
They had to hold back their laughter.
Jacob glared at Jonny and said, "Don't think that I don't know it was you who did it!"
"It's okay. Mom always wants to introduce a woman to you. If you had a girlfriend earlier, you wouldn't have ended up like this. " How could Jonny be afraid of him? He stuffed his mouth full of food and smiled with his eyes narrowed.
"Humph!" Jacob snorted.
If his mother knew that the woman was selling her body, would she still be so enthusiastic to pair the two of them together?
No matter how reluctant Jacob was, he had to get in Cherry's car when his mother looked at him with expectant eyes.
Glancing at him, Cherry slowly started the car and said, "Oh, shit! I don't know if I will have a rear end collision or not? Since the rear end collision in the middle of the night last time, my car seems to have beer braked badly..."
"You can drive my car." He looked out of the window, not even taking a look at her.
"Oh, yours? Maybe it is destined to be rear ended..."
"Enough!" He turned around and stared at her. "I'll pay you tonight. How much do you want? Name a price. "
"I'm sorry. I wouldn't have taken this job if you hadn't booked it in advance." Did he know how many nights she had to stay up? "If it weren't for Jonny, I wouldn't have gotten involved in this! God knows how much I don't want to see you!"
As soon as she saw him, bad luck came.
She was a sociable person, but occasionally there would be someone she didn't want to deliberately please, such as the one in front of her!
"The same!" He snorted, "If you continue to talk nonsense in front of my mother, I will tell her about your prostitution!"
"When did I do that?" He said it last time, and this time! Come on, she hadn't had a boyfriend yet, and she was still a virgin! She was so angry that she trembled all over. "Jacob, you can wait to receive the lawyer's letter tomorrow!"
"Humph. Whatever. " He shrugged his shoulders and said, "Anyway, it's you who was lifting up your dress in front of me, isn't it?"
"It's you who tore my dress, right?" She retorted coldly.
This woman! Was she reasonable or not?
"I tore your dress to deal with your wound!" He gritted his teeth.
"Then I lifted up my dress just to remind you of me when you see the wound!" The two of them were so angry that their faces turned red. Almost every car passing by them couldn't help but look into the car to see which couple had quarreled so fiercely.
The two of them snorted at the same time and turned their heads away, ready to ignore each other.
The car slowly stopped.
Jacob looked out of the window and then turned to look at Cherry.
She picked up her bag and jumped out of the car easily. "I had a quarrel with you, which made me hungry. Humph, I'll buy myself some midnight snack."
Looking at her receding figure, Jacob narrowed his eyes.
For the whole night, she shuttled around the venue like a busy bee. It was undeniable that even the fireworks in the last round were wonderful.
She was so busy that she might not have anything to eat the whole night?
Therefore, it was understandable that she was hungry now.
He waited silently in the car.
Cherry moved quickly.
She bought a bowl of dumplings and walked out of the restaurant.
Before she could get close to the car, a man with a bucket hat suddenly rushed out of the lane nearby. He rushed to Cherry, pulled the bag in her hand with all his strength, and escaped quickly.
His strength was very strong, and Cherry hadn't loosened her grip subconsciously, so she was dragged a few steps forward by the thief.
She fell to the ground and was dragged a few steps. The dumplings in the other hand had already been overturned, and the hot dumplings that had just been pulled out of the pot 'kissed' her thigh again. "Ouch..." She exclaimed in a low voice. Her whole arm, which was dragging on the ground, was burning.
Seeing that she was still holding the bag, the thief lifted his foot and kicked her head.
The man in the car quickly opened the door.
"Bastard!" Cherry gritted her teeth and thought, 'There is also the money paid by Jonny in my bag. The hard work of the staff tonight is all in it. How can I let him get it easily! ?'
Cherry didn't let go of it. She held the ground with one hand and tried to stand up, avoiding the man's kick.
Jacob had kicked the man in the face.
The man didn't seem to expect that there was such a tall man in her car. He was frightened and loosened his grip on her bag.
The tough woman on the ground got up quickly and pulled her bag back with both hands.
Jacob had already grabbed the man's neck, threw him to the ground and stepped on his chest.
"Why don't you let go?!" Cherry kicked him too.
"Let go!" Jacob's expression was as cold as ice. He was so agile that this little thief was no match for him at all.
"Let me go. I dare not..." The man begged.
"No, how can I let you go?!" She called the police quickly.
"You called the police. I'll be out in a few days, but I'm afraid you'll have a hard time in the future." The man threatened bluntly.
"That's good." Jacob said coldly, "I recorded what you said. I'm also a witness. How about this? I believe the police won't mind suing you for threatening.
Cherry curled her lips and said, "I don't mind taking dictation."
'Son of a bitch! My hands are numb now.'
She raised her elbow and found that her scalp was numb.
Several deep bloodstains were shocking on her elbow. Blood beads were gathering quickly, and grit and mud on the ground stuck to the wound. It was not that she didn't feel pain, but that she was numb with pain.
As for her legs, there must be several big blisters. ☐☐☐☐☐☐
