Love Began with the First Meeting

Chapter 1162 Extra Story 52 Of Charlie Game And Reality

But her first love... Although Charlie was unwilling to admit the fact that Allen was her first love and thought that he should have been, after all, they had known each other the longest, since kindergarten.

However, he knew that Allen had hurt Elsa deeply. Charlie had tried many other ways to soothe her and distract her from her heartbreak. He wanted to occupy her with many other pleasant things, so she had no room for sorrow in her heart. However, Allen stubbornly wouldn't leave her alone, either in the game or in reality. Charlie felt he had no other choice but to make Allen never think about Elsa again.

"Charlie, let's go," Evelyn said hugging Charlie's arm and looking at him as if he had enchanted her. "You said you were going to buy Elsa some new clothes. After we get something to eat, then we'll go shopping. I can buy you some clothes too and some for Elsa as well." Charlie knew that Evelyn was playing a prank again, so he just went along with it. When he saw the confused frown on Elsa's face, and she was about to say something, he grabbed her shoulder, signaling for her to keep quiet. A few seconds later, Allen couldn't suppress his anger anymore and blew a fuse.

"Evelyn, how could you fall for Charlie? He is flirting with Elsa right in front of you. Don't you feel angry and jealous?" Allen was in a conundrum. Even though Charlie was good-looking, that didn't justify Evelyn's love for him. After all, he had just expressed his desire for Elsa. How could Evelyn accept that so calmly?

Evelyn put on a sad face and looked down. Though she didn't have an enchanting appearance, her eyes were just amazing. The pair of beautiful eyes framed with the long, curly eyelashes, seemed to speak about her sorrow. Every time she played pity, she could elicit any man's desire to protect her.

Of course, that was only her facade. Anyone who knew her might find it hard to believe that this ruthless woman could hold such a sorrowful look at this moment.

"I like him." Evelyn gazed at Charlie's face with affection. "No matter what he does, I am willing to stay with him. Even though it means that I can only be with him in the shadows." Then she raised her eyes slightly just enough for Charlie to see the mischief in them. However, Allen could only see her deep love and sadness. "As long as I can stay with Charlie, as long as he will buy me food from time to time, I will love him my entire life, until the very end." She even pursed her lips and nodded slowly to add to her sincerity. Allen felt like his words were stuck in his throat. He wanted to say something, but he couldn't find anything to say. Elsa was also stunned to hear what Evelyn just said. After a few moments, she realized that it was Evelyn's trick-she deliberately misled him. If Elsa hadn't known that Evelyn was, in fact, Charlie's twin sister and not his secret girlfriend then she too would have been fooled by the trick that Evelyn so impromptu had pulled off. She had done similar things so many times before with Charlie to be able to act it out so seamlessly. It did play on Elsa's mind why Charlie and Evelyn hadn't revealed the fact to the school yet that they were twins. Why would they hide this? They even seemed to go out of their way to make people misunderstand their relationship intentionally. It was rather bizarre. In the beginning, Elsa assumed that Charlie just wanted to protect Evelyn from her followers. However, after some time she realized that wasn't the reason. It seemed that they liked to play this charade to prank people purely for the fun of it.

Elsa wasn't bothered by it because she knew the truth. Suddenly Charlie removed his arm from Elsa's shoulder, and when he did, she felt as if she had lost something. Out of instinct, she turned to look up at Charlie, who was nodding to Evelyn. He continued with Evelyn's performance and said, "Evelyn, take Elsa to the car and wait for me there, okay?"

Evelyn nodded. "All right. Elsa and I will be waiting for you in the car. I'll take good care of her."

When the girls had left, the two men became more direct with each other.

"Leave Elsa alone! Whether it's in the game or real life, keep away from her!" Charlie demanded. The gentle tone that Charlie had used around his sister and Elsa a few moments ago had been replaced with a cold, menacing one. His eyes shone brightly and had daggers in them. "This is the first time I am warning you and also the last. You can ignore my warning, but be prepared for the consequences."

Allen just sneered. To him, Charlie was a nobody. Even though there were some issues with the Gu's Corporations at the moment, it wouldn't take much effort on his part to get rid of Charlie, whom he believed was just a commoner. The only factor that he needed to consider was Evelyn.

"Well. You'd better heed my advice." Allen's face turned grim. "Leave Elsa, both in the game and in real life. If you do, I will turn a blind eye to this ever happening. Alternatively, if you choose not to. Then you won't continue to stay at A University or even A City!" Frowning, Charlie sighed and shot Allen a meaningful glance before he turned and left. While walking away, he said, "Some things may not be as they appear to be. What you firmly believe in might be wrong. Good luck, Allen!"

Allen clenched his fists so hard that he could hear the popping sound between his joints. At this moment, a cold breeze swept across, making him appear insidious and cold-blooded.

Rita stood with her arms crossed, staring in the direction of Allen and Charlie some distance away from them. Then she uttered, "Who is this Charlie?"

Standing beside Rita was her roommate, Yasmin Lu. Her father was the owner of one of the big risk investment companies in A City. Upon hearing Rita's words, she replied, "We couldn't hear what they just said, but..." She paused for a moment in thought and then looked at Rita and asked, "Did you see Charlie's eyes just now?" Yasmin Lu felt a cold shiver run down her spine. "The way he looked at Allen, I had the feeling that his eyes weren't human."
