Love at the Wrong Table by Emmanuel Lowe

Chapter Love at the 1900

Chapter 1900 The Watchful Eye

Chapter 1900

Emmanuel let out a frustrated sigh. “I could try acupuncture, but there’s no

guarantee it’ll work. I wish we could pin down Ghost Doctor–he’s always on

the move.”

He contemplated, I’ll surely go to North Star Peak to look for him if I’m not

swamped with work. That’s where I last ran into him.

“Don’t stress about it. We’ve got time, so there’s no need to rush,” Mackenzie

O

reassured him, trying to ease Emmanuel’s worries and remind him not to

jump the gun.

Emmanuel nodded and went back to managing the Wolf Warrior Unit.

Two days later, in the heart of Yeringham, stood “The Spire“-a sleek

thirty–story tower topped with an impressive clock. Perched on the clock’s

-hands, two figures took in the lively cityscape.

With Chanaea’s economy booming and Mackenzie now at the helm of the

cars streamed down the streets, heading toward the Yeringham Prestige

Hotel for a big business event.

One of the figures perched on the clock’s hands was Emmanuel, dressed in a

military uniform and windbreaker. He stood tall, eyes locked on the hotel,

keen to see which VIPs would arrive.

Behind him, Sage informed, “Commander, I just got word that a big name

from Eldoria in Zovince is arriving today.”

Emmanuel gave a slight nod. “Who’s the VIP?”

His vibes had wholly transformed since reclaiming his title as Commander of

the Wolf Warrior. It was hard to believe he’d once been a gynecologist.

Sage explained, “Xander Quill, the second son of the Quill family in Eldoria. He

founded the Zovince Independent Chamber of Commerce and wields

significant power there.”

“The top guy from Eldoria made it to Yeringham? Looks like Teddy sent him

Sage continued, “From what Eve found out, Eldoria is right next to Zovince, and

the Quill family has always been tight with Teddy–basically his loyal

supporters.”

“Too bad,” Emmanuel remarked. He thought, If everything goes as planned,

those Quill brothers we saw at the port are mostly linked to the powerful

Silverbane family. Although Raphael did us a favor, the Silverbane fam is

still my enemy.

Still, it wasn’t the time to get hung up on the Silverbane family. Noticing

everyone who mattered had already shown up, Emmanuel jumped down

from the clock’s hand without hesitation.

“Alright, everyone’s in place. Let’s finish this today!”

His eyes, now icy and burning with anger, showed how much he had

changed. He believed bloodshed was the only way to settle the old grudge

between the Quillen and Lowe families.

“On it, Commander!” Sage responded instantly, aware that Emmanuel didn’t

need the Wolf Warrior Unit to take lives–they were just there to keep the

enemy distracted while he did the heavy lifting.

Before long, they reached the Yeringham Prestige Hotel.

“Got an invitation?” one of the hotel’s security guards asked, blocking their

way.

These guards were no joke–a team of twenty–four stood at the entrance,

clearly ready for trouble. It was apparent Verkade had expected someone to

crash the event.

“Nope, but around here, our faces should be all the invitation we need, right?” Sage stated, taking off his sunglasses to reveal his signature scar. Those

familiar with the city should remember Jade Beast, the former Captain of the

Yeringham Police, without a second thought.

“What if we’re not leaving?” Sage’s tone grew serious as he stored down the

guard,

Emmanuel stayed silent; they were here to stir up trouble, and everyone

knew it. Once inside, there was no way out through the entrance–unless they

jumped off the building.

Emmanuel had hoped to avoid a confrontation at the door, but with the

guards acting like this, he was more than ready to teach them a lesson.
