Chapter 3753
Married At First Sight Chapter 3753
The baby kicked again, and Zachary smiled. "Seren, our baby understands us! They kicked again just now."
Serenity replied, "Your hand's on my belly, so the baby probably thinks you're playing with them."
"I really believe babies can understand," Zachary said. "Books say they can hear sounds while still in the womb. That's why we do prenatal education, right?"
He continued, speaking softly to the baby, "Do you miss Daddy? From now on, I'll be here with you and Mommy, watching you grow. Be good and don't kick Mommy too hard; it might hurt her. Save your kicks for me when you're out. I can handle it." Serenity watched Zachary talk to their baby, her heart full of happiness. Seeing his softer side made her feel like she had everything she needed in the world. Zachary had changed for her, and his tenderness was reserved just for her.
A few minutes later, Zachary stood up and lifted Serenity off her feet. She instinctively wrapped her arms around his neck, giggling, "You didn't even warn me! You scared me."
He carried her to the sofa and gently set her down. "I didn't want you standing for too long and getting tired. With me here, you don't need to worry about anything."
He sat down next to her, and Serenity leaned her head on his shoulder. "I missed you so much, hubby."
"Me too," Zachary said with a smile. "Don't you miss me enough to show it?" He teased, clearly expecting something.
Understanding what he wanted, Serenity stood up, wrapped her arms around him, and gave him a gentle kiss on the lips. They held each other in a long embrace, only pulling back reluctantly.
"If you weren't pregnant, I'd take you to bed right now and show you how much I love you," Zachary said with a grin.
Serenity teased him, "Oh really? Thousands of times? Are you sure you can manage that?"
Zachary hesitated and then laughed, "Okay, maybe that was a bit of an exaggeration."
"Hubby," Serenity said softly.
"Yeah?"
"Zachary," she called his name.
"What is it? Just call me 'hubby.' I love hearing you say it. It makes me feel so good," Zachary said, smiling as he placed his hand on her belly again. "After the baby is born, I'll make sure to catch up on all the cuddling and kissing I missed, with interest." Serenity's cheeks turned red at his words. "Actually... if you're gentle, it shouldn't be a problem now," she whispered, her blush deepening.
Zachary loved seeing her blush. He gently replied, "I'm worried about the baby. It's okay, I can wait. When we're back home, we can talk about it."
He then changed the subject, "What do you think we should name our baby?" "I haven't thought of any names yet," Serenity said. "I know there's still time, but as my due date gets closer, I feel like it's coming so fast. Maybe we should start thinking of a few good names now."
Zachary nodded, "Yes, we have time. Let's come up with some names for a baby girl too, just in case we're blessed with one."
He smiled as he thought about their friends' children, saying, "Avah has grown even cuter, and Enzo is adorable when he's not crying. Their big, bright eyes just melt my heart."
