Chapter 151 Do You Like Girls?
Rosa couldn't help getting nervous.
Why did Marlene have to keep the fact that she was pregnant with triplets?
What was that cruel truth Marlene mentioned?
Marlene sighed, "Rosa, your family has done me a favor, so I will protect you no matter what. You have to listen to what I have to say."
Rosa bit her lips and clenched her fists. It was clear that she was nervous.
"The fetuses were too small, so I didn't notice there were three. When your mother-in-law came last month, I saw that it was triplets. The third one is non-identical to the other two, and it is not developing well." Rosa frowned and asked, "What do you mean by it is not developing well?"
"I can't tell that the fetus will be able to survive or be absorbed by the other two!"
Rosa bit her lips and covered her chest with her trembling hands.
Might not survive?
"Rosa, listen to me. I will try every means to help you keep three of them. But can you tell your family members about the third one?"
Rosa frowned and asked, "Marlene, what do you mean?"
Marlene looked at her and shook her head.
Rosa was so innocent, so how could she beat that cunning old fox?
"Marlene..."
"Before that check-up, your mother-in-law came to me."
"Why did she come to you?"
"She probably heard your doctor is here. I am the director, so she came straight to me. She told me she wanted me to care for you and ensure that the babies grow big and healthy." Rosa frowned as she didn't feel there was something wrong.
As the babies' grandmother, it was reasonable for her to want the babies to develop well.
"Rosa, I know what you are thinking. But you can't use your way of thought to guess her. Do you know what they're trying to do?"
Rosa shook her head and did not know.
"She only wants the babies and will never admit you're a part of the family. Once the babies are born, she will kick you out of the house."
Rosa widened her eyes in shock. "What?"
"After your examination, she called me and reminded me to take good care of the babies and would pay me for doing a good job. I told her I couldn't give you too many supplements as an overdose would be a burden for you. But she told me she did not care if you died while giving birth as they would take the children after that. Or if you didn't die, they would kick you out of City C!"
Rosa's eyes turned red.
She bit her lips, and her hands were trembling.
She thought that things would change because of her pregnancy.
After all, Henry had said that his mother would accept her as long as she gave birth.
But she didn't expect that was their plan!
"Rosa, they can only accept Miss Baker as their daughter-in-law. Do you know why the Baker family has not done anything after you got engaged to him?" Rosa looked at Marlene with sad eyes.
"You're too naive. If his mother hadn't comforted them and promised them something, would the Baker family endure it?"
Rosa instantly understood that the Baker family did not make any trouble.
It must be because Mrs. Lewis had promised Paige.
Mrs. Lewis must have said that they would make her leave after the babies were born.
And then, Paige would marry him and enter the Lewis family.
"Rosa, I didn't want to say it because I was afraid that it would affect your mood. But it was bound to happen, so it's better to be prepared."
Tears fell from her eyes as Rosa sneered, "Prepare? What am I going to do?"
"Perhaps you can tell Henry to deal with them?"
"No!" Rosa refused without thinking.
Mrs. Lewis once said that as long as she didn't kill Rosa, Henry would never fall out with her.
After all, Henry was her son!
"Rosa, you won't run away with the babies, will you?" Marlene frowned. "Don't do something stupid. You..."
"I won't!" Rosa interrupted Marlene and smiled. "Marlene, I won't run. Cecil is finally getting better, and it will be fatal for him if I leave City C, so I won't leave."
"What are you going to do then?"
"Marlene, please help me hide that there are three. If there is such a day, I want to leave with one of the babies."
"Rosa, don't do this!"
"Marlene, I understand what you mean. I can't guarantee that he will never change his mind. They are right. I don't know how long this novelty will last, but I have feelings for the babies, and I will collapse if they take the babies away. And it will be the same for Cecil. But if that day comes, I will leave with one of them."
It was Rosa's only wish now.
Marlene's eyes turned red. "Rosa, trust me. I will help you."
Rosa nodded. She looked down at her belly and said, "Baby 3, you must hold on and survive!"
Marlene tilted her head and wiped away her tears.
She pitied Rosa and hoped Rosa was making the right decision.
On the other side.
"Cecil, are you sure you want to sign? Your situation is much better now!" Cecil's chief physician looked at Cecil with a frown.
Cecil smiled and wrote down his information without hesitation.
"Thank you. I know what I'm doing. It's a preparation for the day I die. I want to leave something for the world."
The doctor's eyes turned red all of a sudden. He said, "Thanks a lot. Don't worry. I will do my best to cure you and let you live a few more years!"
"I will try to hold on a few years more too. I still want to play with my nephew or niece," Cecil smiled with happiness.
"You will be a good uncle!"
"Thank you!" After saying that, Cecil got up and nodded to the attending doctor.
What he just signed was a form for organ donation.

When Cecil went out, Rosa also came out.
"Cecil, how did it go?"
"The doctor said I recovered very well," Cecil smiled slightly.
"That's great. I'll ask the doctor."
"No, I have the check-up slip with me. I'll go back and show you!" Cecil smiled.
Rosa nodded. "Shall we head back?"
"Let's wait for Miranda. We're going to take you somewhere."
Rosa frowned and asked, "Where are we going?"
"You'll know when you get there!"
While Rosa frowned and followed Cecil to the elevator, she could not help muttering, "I found that you have been very close to Miranda recently."
There was an uneasy look in Cecil's eyes. "Is that so?"
"Why is Miranda so clingy to you?" She looked at him in confusion.
"Well, we're close in age, so we have lots to talk about."
Rosa smiled helplessly and said, "Am I very old?"
Cecil smiled and said helplessly, "You are the cutest, kindest, and most innocent young lady."
"Rude!" Rosa rolled her eyes at him. However, it was clear that she was smiling.
Miranda stood at the car door and waved at them.
The two walked over, and Cecil sat in the passenger seat.
Miranda and Rosa sat in the back seat.
"Rosa, how's the examination? How are the babies?" Miranda couldn't help reaching out to touch Rosa's belly.
Rosa smiled, and her gaze was tender. "There's good. Marlene said I might feel their movements in less than four months since they're twins!"
"Really? Let me know. I want to feel it too. I am sure it will be amazing."
Rosa looked at her and asked, "So, where are you two taking me?"
Miranda smiled mysteriously. "You'll know when we get there!"
Twenty minutes later.
They arrived at their destination.
Rosa followed them out of the car.
It was a three-story baby store with everything.
Rosa said helplessly, "Why did you bring me here? I have everything already."
Henry was a very anxious father.
After hearing that she was pregnant, he started building the nursery and brought the baby troller, baby beds, and a lot of clothes.
He bought different colors of them.
She had been blaming him for being in such a hurry since the babies had yet to arrive.
He said he wanted to be well prepared.
"Henry did buy a lot for the babies, but I have not! I just got my fees and want to buy something for them!"
Rosa said helplessly, "But Henry has bought a lot of them already."
"Rosa!" Cecil frowned and looked at her.
Rosa gave in, "Fine. You're the boss."
Cecil then gave up. The three of them entered and began to choose.
Cecil looked at these baby items gently.
They were so adorable.
Miranda took the opportunity to approach him and whispered, "Cute? Do you like it?"
Cecil nodded with a smile.
"Then you should take good care of yourself. Maybe we can have children too."
Cecil was stunned and looked at Miranda in shock.
Miranda bit her lips and blushed. She immediately ran away.
His expression immediately dimmed.
It was a blessing that he was still alive.
He had never thought of having children.
"Cecil..." Rosa called him and walked over.
Cecil hid his disappointment and looked at her. "Rosa, is this cute? I think I am getting this."
"Do you like girls?" Rosa asked when she saw him holding a cute pink dress.
Cecil was a little embarrassed. "Yes, I like girls!"
"Okay. Take it then!" For her, no matter the babies' gender, she would love them.
However, because of Cecil's choice, she hoped that she was pregnant with a girl.
Cecil immediately took it and paid.
"What did you just say to Cecil?" Miranda came over.
"He said that he liked girls and hoped that I am carrying a daughter!" Rosa smiled and looked gentle.
"That won't do. If you give birth to a girl, my grandma will be even angrier. I can help if he wants a daughter."
"You help him?" Rosa frowned.
Miranda was stunned, and the corner of her mouth twitched. "I-I... What's that? It looks good! I'll go and have a look!"
Miranda immediately retreated.
However, Rosa narrowed her eyes, thought about it, and widened her eyes in astonishment.
Miranda liked Cecil?!0000☐☐
