Love After Cheating by Lola Garcia

Chapter 10

Chapter 10

Eason was always romantic.

The bed was adorned with roses in the shape of a heart.

And an exquisite gift box awaited me.

Noticing my hesitation, Eason urged me.

“Honey, open it!“,

I felt disgusted when I thought of how he got the money to buy the gift.

I untied the ribbon and revealed the contents.

It was a Rolex Green Submariner I had long desired.

To Eason’s disappointment, my reaction didn’t meet his expectations. He looked at me with some disappointment.

“Honey, why aren’t you more excited?”

Excited?

Since he desired it, I complied.

I gathered my strength to slap him hard several times.

It left red marks on his cheeks.

Eason was stunned and still acted.

Honey, your expression of excitement is rather unique.”

Ignoring his attempts at levity, I handed him a divorce agreement.

“Eason, let’s get a divorce.”

Confusion clouded his features.

Katherine Moore, have you lost your mind? What have I done to deserve such treatment?”

I refused to divulge the true reason until matters were settled.

“You have money for a Rolex, yet you haven’t repaid my parents?”

The IOU you wrote said you would pay me back in two years, but how many years have passed now? Have you paid me back yet?”

Eason heard the reason and smiled.

“Honey, are you mad at me for this?”

“I have mentioned to your parents many times that I want to pay back the money, but they told me not to worry. Why didn’t they just ask me directly if they need money? Why did they have to beat around the bush? I almost lost my wife for this!

Eason was indeed a master of psychology, he could control himself with ease.

He pulled a cell phone out of his apron and wanted to transfer money to my parents on the spot.

But he asked me blankly, “Um, honey, I don’t seem to have their account number.”

“Why not transfer it to me? I have their account details.”

I watched for his reaction.

As I glanced at the divorce agreement, he gritted his teeth and transferred one million dollars to me.

“Honey, I borrowed 800 thousand dollars at that time, and the extra 200 thousand dollars is the interest.”

Only after receiving the money did I wear the Green Submariner on my wrist.

Eason happily dashed to the kitchen to prepare a candlelit dinner.

When he turned around, I noticed the clear flash of gloom and anger in his expression.

After giving so much money to me, he seemed heartbroken. I suspected he would attempt to sell something again. tonight.

This was the moment Linda and I had been waiting for..

Once he finished cleaning the dishes, he talked to me

“Honey, go to sleep first. Phave a few patients needing consultation tonight. I’ll join you once I’m done.”

I readily agreed.

He still didn’t realize how much trouble he had brought to his buyers.

To fetch a high price, he reached out to his previous big customers, boasting about top–quality goods.

He was practically sending himself to death.

The normal scumbags who bought his files didn’t have the guts to report to the police, suffering the loss in silence. But now, he still tried to sell his stuff to others, which pissed the bigshots who bought from him.

Many of these buyers were executives or leaders of large companies, and their hacked computers contained invaluable confidential company files.

The information in those files were invaluable, and these people would never spare him.

Now, Eason was trying to pull his tricks again, but no one would trust him again.

They had already called the police, who hadn’t done anything to him because the files were sent from an overseas IP address and they needed more confirmation.

Now that he was back, the bigshots tacitly contacted the police.

With Linda’s help, the police traced him via his IP address.

As I lay in bed, I quietly awaited the opening of the door.
