Living With My Lady Boss

Chapter 290

Chapter 290
Wilbur was in a good mood, humming happily on the way home.
Meanwhile, Sammy was in another car. She told the driver, “Chase after him. Please don’t lose him.”
The driver followed Wilbur all the way to Seechertown.
It was two in the morning when he got back to Seechertown, Wilbur went back to his room and entered his demiplane. He
sacrificed the bronze sword at the Dragon’s Altar.
A mysterious air swept over, and the bronze sword transformed into 120 grams of grace points. Following that, a screen
appeared.
The shining first row was a pill named “Thunder Essence“.
According to the instructions, the Thunder Essence allowed a cultivator with no thunder–type abilities to gain the power of
thunder and lightning. Meanwhile, cultivators who had thunder–type abilities could increase their affinity to thunder–type
powers.
That pill was very useful to Wilbur.
He felt like his powers were mostly thunder–type when his Dragonsoul awakened. That was why he was good at lightning- based
attacks and thunder–type spells.
However, he noticed that the Thunder Essence required 120 grams of grace points. He wanted to curse the Dragon
The Dragon was like a parasite that know what he needed. ‘Every time it shows me something in the most obvious way,
it’s not what I need the most. Instead, it’s the most enticing thing that I desire. If I exchange the grace points for the Thunder
Essence, I’ll have to look for sacrifices again to exchange for the Marrow Cleansing Pill. I would have to keep looking for
sacrifices, and it’ll never be enough.‘
He sighed and controlled his impulses. In the end, he took the Marrow Cleansing Pill instead.
The Marrow Cleansing Pill appeared in front of him.

The golden hourglass was flipped as grace points decreased to 30 grams in the blink of an ryr
The remaining 30 grams of grace points could not be exchanged for anything
“F*ck,” cursed Wilbur. He then silently exited the demiplane.
He knew the Dragon did not need his respect or whatever. All it needed was his sacrifice.
The Dragon would not react regardless of insults and curses. That was why he was so daring.
However, he did feel bad about it.
The Dragon was way too mysterious and powerful. He did not know if the Dragon would one day decide to unleash its fury on
him.
Wilbur started to meditate when he got back to his room. The next morning, Charles could be heard outside at eight o’clock.
“Sir, there’s a lady named Sammy Shandon who wants to meet you. She has been waiting outside all night.”
Wilbur sighed and said, “Let her in.”
“Yes,” Charles left.
Wilbur washed up in a hurry and arrived at the living room to make some tea. He sat down quietly and waited.
Soon, Charles led Sammy to the living room.
She bowed at Wilbur respectfully when she walked in. She looked ashamed and said, “I’m sorry for my bad attitude yesterday,
sir. I was too mean, and I sincerely apologize for my behavior.”
“No worries. It’s hard to believe anyway,” said Wilbur nonchalantly,
Sammy said, “Sir, I believe you. I believe you now without a doubt. Can you please help me? “Why should I help you?” Wilbur
asked as he slowly sipped his tea.
