The energy in the stadium buzzed around us like electricity as Luke and I slipped through the back entrance. The distant roar of the crowd felt both exhilarating and dizzying, but it all faded into the background, leaving me in my little bubble-
my Luke bubble. Every step we took seemed to amplify the flutter in my chest as I thought about watching him play his first professional game.
His arm brushed against mine, sending a rush of warmth flooding through me, tinged with the intoxicating scent of his cologne. When Luke got out of the shower this morning, the entire scent filled his apartment.
Images of what we did and why Luke needed a second shower flashed in my mind, and heat crept up my cheeks. Luke noticed and bent down to whisper in my ear, "I'm thinking about this morning too," like he knew how dirty my thoughts were. I felt the blush worsen, and I wasn't wearing heels or anything, and I wasn't short by any means, but Luke was just bigger and taller, and one stride was two of mine.
Then, my phone buzzed in my pocket, pulling me from my thoughts. I ignored it. I knew it was Aiden anyway. He texted me last night, this morning and now. I ignored all of them, but the one this morning was only three words. >Thinking about you.< 22.00

I wasn't thinking about him for once and needed him to get out. of my head. I had a few weeks of training with him left, and then I could distance myself. But my running was starting to get really good, and I needed him to get better.
But right now? Aiden didn't exist. The world beyond Luke felt like a distant planet, and I was too caught up in the orbit of this moment to care.
Adrenaline coursed through me as I anticipated the game. The fact that Luke was facing off against Josh made it even more exciting. I haven't seen my brother in a while, and after the game, we are all having dinner.
Josh called me this morning, and his whole speech was about being family and that I needed to sit on his side of the field. However, Luke snatched the phone and basically said there's no way in hell I'll be sitting on that side. "There is no fucking way my girl is sitting anywhere but with me."
Those words-my girl. Something was intoxicating about how he claimed me, and the way he said it made me feel like I was the only one in the world who mattered to him.
As we walked, the crowd's sounds grew thunderous, and the air cracked with excitement. If I thought a college football game was big, this was insane! People were chanting his name, and girls had his name written on very interesting body parts.
I wasn't jealous or naive. I knew what would likely happen; Luke is probably the most attractive player right now, and he's young.

Luke must have sensed me slipping away because, without missing a beat, he reached back, his powerful hand finding mine, and yanked me closer. His massive warmth enveloped me, and before I could even register what was happening, his lips crushed against mine.
It was dizzying-raw, powerful, and utterly possessive. A rush of heat ignited between us, and I barely registered the camera flash, capturing the moment. I almost forgot where we were.
That picture would be on every social media platform in the next five seconds... Shit.
My fingers tangled in the front of his jersey as every part of me responded to his intensity. When he finally pulled away, I was. breathless, my heart racing as if I'd just sprinted a mile. "Now the whole world knows you're mine," he murmured in a low, husky voice, his lips brushing against my ear. "And I hope Aiden's watching, so he knows it too."
My breath caught in my throat as I glanced up at him, still reeling from the kiss. For a brief second, he looked like a naughty schoolboy-his devilish grin sent sparks shooting through me.
No, now is not the time, Jess. Public indecency is a thing, but Luke's eyes told me he thought about it, too, for a second. We finally made it to the stadium, and Luke took my hand. "Follow me," he breathed, and suddenly, Iran after him into the stadium, which was less crow
cameras.
Luke led me into a room, shut the door behind him, and flipped the lock. I looked at the door and then back at him. Before I

could register where we were or why we were there, Luke picked me up and pressed me against the door. "I need to be inside of you right fucking now."
