Legacy of Darkness

Chapter Chorus of Annihilation

Utopia, on the eve of its destruction.

The city of light stood tall over the surrounding land, flowers and trees rose to reach the dazzling light that the city emanated. This, however could not last, for this night would be the last night of Utopia.

It began when the King of the Night, clad in his pitch dark armour, and dark helmet, marched his horde into the city, as the sun set. They slaughtered everybody, men, women, even children and pets. No one was left alive.

The Dragons put up a brave fight, but many of them were slaughtered by the immeasurable horde. Their corpses laying waste to the city below. The pure white light that once existed around the city was now instead light from the inferno that burned the city to the ground, ash rained down all around the Academy as the King of the Night approached.

Lumina stood defiant with Arranthian, as the King of the Night cut down every single student and teacher before her.

"STOP THIS AT ONCE!" Lumina yelled, pleading for the life of her friends.

The King of the Night ignored her, and continued as he walked toward her.

"What doth they need to sate thy hunger for blood? I shall offer mineself if it would prevent the needless loss of more life" Arranthian mourned.

The King of the Night now stood before Lumina.

"These are the deeds of your own sister, Lumina" The King of the Night spoke. Lumina gasped as tears ran down her cheeks. The King turned to his soldiers and raised his arms up high, "Utopia is no more! Have your crystal, my followers" The King of the Night shouted, soldiers ran toward the Crystal of Light, but Arranthian killed every last one of them with his breath.

However, The King of the Night was nowhere to be seen.

"Mine Queen, shall I hunt him down?" Arranthian asked.

Lumina didn't reply, she didn't even move, she just stared out across the city of Utopia, now in ruins. The roof of the Academy's grand hall collapsed, and the skies above were black with smoke. Arranthian roared in mourning of the loss of life.

On the outskirts of town, The King of the Night walked away, but looked back at the burning city. He removed his helmet slowly to reveal his face.

Treleva.

He smirked and laughed.

"Payback feels so good" Trevela chuckled.

"We held up our end of the bargain" A thousand voices echoed inside Treleva's mind. "Now you must begin out great work" The continued.

Trevela frowned and nodded, as he placed his helmet upon his head once more, and walked away from the once great 'City of Light'.
