Chapter epilogue
Epilogue
A few years later.
“Mason! Love? I am home!”
You guessed correctly.
Me and Mason were still together and we were in love as we were the first day.
Sure, from time to time we got into a fight, but nothing major.
We chose my house to make it our home.
And we did it.
It was perfect really.
But today I had some news for him first.
When I closed the door behind me I finally turned towards our hallway and what awaited me left me speechless.
There were rose petals strewn everywhere.
But it looked like they led to our master bedroom.
I made my way to the bedroom.
“Mason? Where are you? Don’t you dare scare me asshole. I swear I will…”
My words died on my lips when I reached the bedroom door.
There was a heart on the floor, made out of rose petals.
And in the middle of the heart stood Mason.
In a tux!
There was Mason in a tux.
Dear lord, please have mercy on my hormones.
The sight in front of me was something out of a fairytale.
A huge grin on his face was just a cherry on top.
He stretched his arm towards me and I moved closer to take it, looking at the same time to not step on the petals.
“What’s all this supposed to mean Mason? Did I forget an important date or something?”
He chuckled at me before he spoke.
“No sweetheart you didn’t forget anything. But I do have something to tell you. The day I met you was the best and the worst day of my life. You were the sweetest little thing I have ever seen but at that time I had no idea you would complicate my life so much. As we grew, so did my feelings for you. But I tried really hard to resist them. But stubborn as you are, you broke down all my walls and showed me what true love is like. You showed me what it’s like to be loved and to love someone. You make me happy each day I wake up besides you. You get on my nerves and sometimes you drive me crazy. But I wouldn’t change you for anything.”
His words were sweet in our own way. Just the way we knew how to express our feelings. Without any filters. Just honest truth.
But I still had no idea where this was leading
Until he dropped down on one knee.
My hand shot to cover my mouth and a gasp escaped me.
“Rachel Bigsby, would you do me the honor and become my wife?”
He opened a small black box that I didn’t even realize he was holding.
Inside was a nice simple ring with only one stone.
It was a blue sapphire that matched my eyes perfectly.
I looked at him and there was so much doubt in them.
I realized I didn’t give him an answer so I started nodding my head fast and once I found my voice again gave him a clear answer.
“Yes! Yes! Oh my God Mason of course YES!”
He put the ring on my finger and stood up and sealed our deal with a kiss, just like we were used to.
“But Mason, either we get married in the next two months or in a year or two, because I want to look good in my wedding pictures.”
He stared at me in confusion.
Guess it was time I reveal my news as well.
“I am pregnant!”
First there was only shock but then a huge grin spread across his face.
Suddenly he lifted me off the floor and spun me around. I started giggling at his happy behavior.
Once he put me down he gave me a quick peck before he spoke again.
“Thank you Rachel for making me the happiest man on the planet.”
But I think he was wrong. Because there sure couldn’t be a happier person than me.
Guess all I needed for my life to take a turn for the best was JUST ANOTHER ROOMIE.
THE END ❤
Next book in the series?
Hold on tight.
Here comes: Just another MODEL
JUST ANOTHER MODEL
Becky
I was a successful model, with the whole world at my feet.
But one wrong decision and my career was finished. Forever.
Now I am trying to figure out my life the best I can.
Find a new job, get used to a normal life.
Sounds simple right?
But what do you do when your brother’s hot boss keeps showing around?
He is an abnormally kind and smiley asshole who thinks only about himself!
Or is he?
The more I get to know him, the more I realize his attitude is just a shield, to keep everyone at arm’s length.
Because when the world thinks you are happy no one bugs you.
Will I be able to help him with his demons?
Or am I at the end of the day just another model?
*******
Aron
I worked my ass off to build my company from nothing.
And I did so on my own.
My mother left me at my aunt’s doors when I was a few days old, and she never came around after that.
My aunt told me it was better that way, because she was a manipulative materialistic woman.
If they are coming from her sister, at least a part must be true.
Suddenly my world is turned upside down by a feisty ex model who won’t give up until she digs under my happy persona shield.
But the problem?
She is the sister of one of my employees that I consider one of my best friends.
Will I let her in, allow her to break down my walls and help rebuild her own life?
Or will I walk away from the first person in a long time that is willing to fight my demons by my side?
