Insatiable Desire by B.Mitchylle

Chapter 12

Chapter 12

Liam and her met when she was just about to finish her college years.

And they immediately clicked. They were like a puzzle, perfectly fitting together as if they were meant for each other. He was smart and funny and tall and handsome as hell. Or at least that was her first impression of him.

Now that he had the time to think about it, Liam wasn’t even as good-looking as Trystan. Or as tall or as bulky or as strong. How the hell did she fall for him? She glared at the man before her. His blue eyes looked somehow regretful. Though, she wasn’t too sure if he was regretting hurting her or having his man in her house when he could have brought him to a hotel somewhere.

“Was it easy?” she asked. She had been staring at his face since she arrived. a couple of minutes ago. He said nothing. So, she didn’t say a word as well.

The sound of soft jazz filled the room.

Liam turned towards the coffee in his hand.

“I-” he opened his lips then closed them. “I came here to apologize.”

“For what, Liam?” she asked.

“I didn’t mean it. It was an accident.”

She lifted an eyebrow, a smile appeared on her face. She had met a lot of people in her life and heard a lot of experiences from the people she used to call friends. She had known a lot of shameless people. But this is actually the first time that she had met someone described in those social media posts that she read in her free time.

Seeing her reaction, Liam extended his hand attempting to hold hers but she quickly moved her hands from the wooden table that separated them and put it down her legs.

“How long?” she asked.

“Please Mia… I didn’t mean to do that. I have been tricked. I was drunk and he seduce me.”

“Tricked? Drunk? In the middle of the day!?” she scoffed in disbelief. Did. he just say that he was tricked? Like somehow, that man actually tricked.

him to fuck him? She blinked wondering if Liam was joking. In their relationship, Liam was always the passive one. He was the nice guy type and she actually thought she was pretty lucky to have him as her fiance. He was smart and a bit nerdy and they could talk for hours about star wars!

And now, this smart man whom she thought was really smart and nice was telling her that he was tricked into fucking a man? Did that man trick him to hide this affair from Mia? For a few seconds, anger reared inside her head. For some reason, she could feel that Liam was looking down on her!

Did he really think she wasn’t as smart as him?

“Please, Mia. I can’t live without you. We have been together for so long, I don’t think I “Tears pooled in his eyes, He actually looked pitiful. But right now, his pitiful act looked just like… an act. It was an act and Mia knew it.

Every time they fought over something, Liam would immediately use this act on her and why would she not forgive him? He was literally perfect! His tears would immediately melt her fucking heart and they would end up fucking each other once and everything would go back to normal. Like a damn routine!

She wondered if the man actually liked to fuck her.

Was it possible that he was just doing it to appease her? Like damn compliance?

Damn it.

Irritation filled her head.

How did she become so blind? How the hell was that even possible?

She should have seen the signs.

The fact that Liam always worked so late. The late-night calls. The sudden out-of-state business trip.

She clenched her hand into tight fists. She wanted to punch him. She wanted to slap his handsome face.

But she knew better than that.

“I am giving you thirty days to leave the house. I am going to sell it,” she

said. “My lawyer will be in contact with you. From now on, you cannot just talk–”

“Mia, how could you do this? What about the wedding?”

“What wedding?” Mia snorted. “You mean the one that I paid for? Right. I canceled everything.”

“But what would I tell my parents?”

Another scoff escaped her lips. She was speechless!

“So that’s how it is,” she said. “I had suspicions that you only did it because of your mother.” His mother was a devout Christian who hated. Mia for inviting her son to move in. But over the years, she had come around and started to treat Mia with respect.

Liam lowered his head in response.

“Was it my fault that I like men?” he asked.

She rolled her eyes. Again, he was using this pitiful act to convince her to stay. Obviously, Liam knew that liking man wasn’t the problem here. He could like men and marry them and Mia would have no problem with that! The problem here is him cheating on her own house!

It’s the fucking cheating!

She gritted her teeth. She knew she was wasting her time. She shouldn’t have come here!

“I am leaving…” Mia said.

“Can’t you just stay?” Liam said. “For two months. Just give me two months and I would tell my mother about it and-”

Mia rolled her eyes. She got up and started walking away. Liam got up and followed her. Then he held her wrist, stopping her in her tracks.

“Let me go.

“Not unless you talk to me like a mature woman.”

“Mature woman?” she scoffed. “Why don’t you go and find yourself a mature woman that would stay despite the fact that have been cheating on her!?” she missed, anger apparent in her blue eyes.

The audacity!

Mia had been trying to stop herself from hurting him. But right now, all she wanted was to actually slap this fucker!

“We can still work this out! How could you just leave without even talking to me? Are you giving up? We have been together for years!” Liam reasoned.
