I carry a load

a backpack of life

of tools essential

to survive all the strife

Friendship

Strength

Courage

Determination

Reside right along side

Band-Aids, iodine.

Chocolates, and coffee

As necessary as breathing

and integral to survival

my burden encourages

my soul’s own delight
