Chapter Epilogue
In a cave near the Sunburst Aether Council a month later, A dragon resides, writing something down on a scroll.
Dear Diary,
After the recovery crews investigated the premises they came to a final count. In the war, 82,020 lives were taken. Out of that count, they concluded that only ten died in the aftermath, the fire. The number would've been higher if it weren't for one noble hero. The leader of the Destiny's Harbingers or Embers of the Prophecy managed to save a total of seventeen dragons from the fire. It only looked like five from the perspective of the larger crowd on the north end. When they found injured Louis, they saw that he was covering two dragons to protect them from the fire. When he was found, he was still alive, but in critical condition. Unfortunately, he died a bit later when in the Sunburst Aether Council. The Sunburst Aether medical staff were trying to save him but he was already critically injured and died only an hour after arrival.
During the war, another 120,000 dragons were injured but all went on to make full recoveries including Asteria, one of Destiny's Harbingers. The human's noble sacrifice caused an agreement between the two councils at war and all is finally at peace. Two murals are going to be put up in the Sunburst Aether and Stella Alis council in memoriam. A memorial is planned for next week for all those who perished in the war in Vanderberg Highlands and a separate memorial placed in the Sunburst Aether Council for those who died in the fire. Despite all the death and commotion, there is a silver lining. Most of Pyrix is at peace for the first time in a while. The fallen may never be forgotten...
