Chapter Epilogue
Hades paced his throne room as the messenger stood silently and waiting.
“Are you sure that they have no idea?” he asked.
“Yes, my lord, they suspect nothing. The girl received your message but has said nothing to the others. They are all going about their lives as planned.” The high-pitched voice of the messenger said.
Hades was pleased that his plan was working itself out and that the wretched abominations had no clue about what was about to befall them.
Hades laughed aloud and knocked over his wine pitcher sending its crimson contents spilling across the obsidian floor that reflected the flames of hell from the hearth as he sees his charred reflection.
“Four weeks have passed, and the taunting continues… Aria still looks over her shoulder to check if she is being watched.” says the messenger sounding unnerved after Hades’ violent display, yet giddy at the aspect of Aria’s paranoia. He paced the room excitedly.
“She will never even see it coming even though she alone looks for it, and that is the beauty of my plan. We need to keep our alliances hidden at all costs! Do you hear me?” he shouts at the messenger.
“Yes, my Lord, I understand perfectly.” said the messenger cockily.
“Good… their downfall has started, and they will never even see it coming!” he shouts and raises his arms in mock victory.
“It has only yet begun… Heaven shall fall, and Hell shall rise. Darkness will befall them all… It has only just begun!” Hades sneered out into the hall where roars erupt from the demon army…
