I'm Your Sister, Brother Chow

Chapter 2: How Much Does He Really Love Her?

Wasn't it just the first day since he came back from Europe? Was he that impatient to go out on a date with her?

Vivian closed her eyes and felt her heart contracting in pain. It hurt so much that it felt like hell.

"Great, you're back from school! I was just about to get dinner with Chow. Would you like to tag along?"

As she spoke, she quickened her steps and walked up to them, reaching for the man's- Chow's- arm before smiling charmingly at Vivian.

She was a beautiful woman, obviously much more attractive than Vivian's plain Jane girl-next-door vibe.

Her beauty was not the provocative type. If Vivian's temperament was like an orchid in a valley, then her beauty was like a dahlia in full bloom.

If they both stood together, Vivian would never be the one that attracted anybody's attention.

Seeing the generous smile on her face, Vivian felt a sense of inferiority briefly flash in her eyes, but she quickly forced herself to return the smile.

"No... No thanks, Sister Celine. I still have homework to do tonight, so I won't disturb your date with Brother Chow."

Celine shrugged and nodded in understanding. "That's true. Education is still the most important thing for you as a student. In that case, I won't delay you any further."

Vivian nodded at her and responded softly, "Have a pleasant date. I'll go up first."

As she said that, Vivian's gaze swept over Celine and inadvertently landed on Chow's long fingers that had just violated her body.

Chow could clearly sense her gaze. He purposely twirled his fingertips in front of her, chuckled softly, and slipped his hand into his pants pocket.

Vivian trembled slightly because of his actions. Under his intense eyes, she couldn't help feeling an unbearable sense of embarrassment.

"Well, we'll just have dinner together next weekend."

Celine leaned her head gently against Chow's shoulder as she spoke. She then said cutely, "Chow, it looks like it's going to rain. Why don't we go over to my place? I'll make dinner for you, okay?"

Vivian knew that there was no point in her staying. She nodded at them once more before turning and walking towards the stairs.

Celine didn't bother with Vivian's departure. She kept whispering in Chow's ear, "If it really rains later, you won't even need to come home tonight."

They were already in a relationship with each other. It would be normal for Chow to spend the night at her place.

However, Chow's gaze was fixed on Vivian's back. A faint smile appeared on his lips.

"I'm afraid I can't. Vivian has always been scared of thunder. I'm afraid I'll have to stay at home and accompany her tonight."

Hearing his words, Vivian, who had been going up the stairs, slipped and almost fell. She quickly turned back to look at the couple behind her. Disappointment showed on Celine's face. She looked at Vivian with a look of unwillingness, whilst Chow's eyes remained playful and teasing. Vivian wanted to say that she didn't need his company, but knowing him, she knew that if she really said it out loud, she would suffer even more tonight. No one could stop him from doing what he wanted to do.

So, Vivian lowered her head, turned around, and continued ascending the stairs in silence.[
