Chapter 97: Now You Know To Care About Her, Where The Hell Have You Been

Chapter 97: Now You Know to Care About Her, Where the Hell Have You Been

Faced with Catherine's concern, Yanis couldn't say anything else but responded softly.

Catherine didn't stop talking at random all the way.

Yanis almost told everything.

"Grandma, she is injured and needs to rest."

Zane interrupted Catherine suddenly.

Catherine snorted slightly, "Now you know how to care about her, where the hell have you been?"

Hearing Catherine's words, Yanis subconsciously glanced at Zane.

It happened that he also turned to look at her.

They made an eye contact and turned their gaze tacitly.

Then the car became quiet.

Soon the car was parked at D-king Castle.

After getting out of the car, Zane helped Yanis open the door first and bent down to take Yanis out of the car.

Yanis refused and whispered, "I can walk myself."

"The doctor said that you shouldn't walk around these days. You should pay attention to your injury."

Yanis was about to say something when Catherine's voice sounded, "Yanis, let him hold you back. You should pay attention to your coccyx contusion."

Yanis had to swallow the words that came to her lips and let Zane carry her through the door.

Zane carried Yanis upstairs and placed her on the bed in the master bedroom.

Yanis looked at him, "Mr. Lawrence, I can live next door."

Zane didn't answer. He laid Yanis flat, reached out and pulled the quilt on the side to tucked Yanis in. "Catherine would nag me if she knew I let you live in the second bedroom." After his words, Zane got up. "Well, have a good rest. You can call me if there's anything wrong."

Yanis wanted to say something but swallowed the words that came her lips. She responded slightly.

Zane seemed to have something important to do. He left the bedroom quickly.

Downstairs in the living room, Catherine was discussing with Sophia what to cook for Yanis. Seeing Zane go downstairs, she raised her eyes. "Why are you so hurried?"

Zane walked down the stairs to the living room and put away the file placed on the table. Only then did he answer, "I asked Albi to change the bed in the guest room before. I'll call him to send a new one." Catherine didn't doubt it. "Well, let Albi hurry up, otherwise I'll have to sleep on the ground with Sophia."

Zane responded and walked to the study on the first floor.

The file in his hand was the divorce papers that was brought by Yanis that day. Because of what Yanis said before leaving, he signed it impulsively. He was too busy to put it away last night. Walking into the study, Zane glanced at the agreement in his hand and dropped it on the desk. As he was about to leave, he paused and threw the papers on the desk into the drawer.

Zane has finished all the work he should do in a hurry for the past two days, so he didn't have to go to the company.

Walking out of the study, Zane was about to go upstairs to see Yanis when her phone rang just at the top of the stairs. Zane picked up the phone and glanced at the caller ID. The he answered the call, "What's up?"

Albi said in the other side, "Mr. Lawrence, the South Hospital couldn't get through to you so they called me."

Listening to Albi, Zane frowned subconsciously. "What's wrong?"

"Dr. wood says that Miss. Lawrence is in stable condition, so he wants to know when you'll come to take her home."

Zane glanced at his watch. "I'll call Dr. Wood later."

That done, Zane paused and then continued, "Send a bed as soon as possible. Catherine will stay in D-king Castle these days." Albi answered, "OK."

Hanging up the phone, Zane raised his eyes just in time to meet Catherine's gaze.

After putting away his phone, Zane took two steps forward. "What's wrong?"

"Who's calling?" Catherine asked.

Zane truthfully replied, "From Albi. The South Hospital couldn't get through to me so they called him."

Hearing that, Catherine asked, "How is Anika doing? Is there any progress?'

"Well, it's time to be discharged."

After his words, Zane looked at Catherine and continued, "I'll take her home with Yanis tomorrow morning."

"Did you talk to Yanis?"

Zane nodded.

Catherine asked, "Could Anika accept her?"

Zane replied, "Well, she likes her very much."

Catherine seemed relieved and said, "Well, Anika has been outside for so many years. It's time to find a suitable opportunity to take her home."

"I see."

In the master room upstairs.

Yanis lay in the bed, full of the image of Zane holding her to avoid the car. If Zane weren't here yesterday, she must be behind the eight ball.

As she was thinking about it, her phone on the bedside table rang.

The call was from Bonnie.

Yanis answered the phone, "Bonnie, what's up?"

Bonnie said in a low voice intentionally, "Are you alone?"

Yanis replied, "Well, he's out."

Bonnie on the other side of the phone raised her volume. "Yanis, don't you think that Scumbag is a bit strange? Why would he suddenly be so obsessed with you? Is there any conspiracy?" Listening to Bonnie, Yanis laughed slightly, "Well, what could he do it for? For my heart or my wealth?"

Bonnie replied, "For your beauty."

Yanis chuckled. "It's more likely for him to seek my wealth than my beauty."

Bonnie snorted. "Be confident, OK?"

That done, Bonnie paused and continued, "Yanis, do you know the things online?"

"What's it?"

"The mistress's sadfishing. Her fans are really naïve. If they know her true features, they may cry to death."

Listening to Bonnie complain for a while, Yanis answered, "Well, we can't control what others do, just be ourselves."

Bonnie replied in a low voice, "So you're going to live in D-king Castle these days?"

Yanis was silent for a few seconds. "No. When grandma goes back, I'll come to live in your studio. When I'm OK totally, I'll buy some furniture and live in Linen Bay."

"That's alright. I'll be finished by then. I can accompany you to buy the furniture."

"OK."

They chatted for a while. There was a visitor in Bonnie's studio, so she hung up.

After Yanis put down her mobile phone, it suddenly occurred to her that she didn't take medicine. Her hand was unnaturally covered in her abdomen. After hesitating for a while, Yanis slowly got out of bed. She was about to swallow the medicine she found in the bedside table when the door was opened.

Yanis looked back, only to see Zane standing at the door. Indescribably, Yanis hid the medicine that had been taken out in her hand behind her.

Zane stared at her for a few seconds. Then he stepped forward and asked deadpan, "Would you like some water?"
