Chapter Hologram Recording Transcript: July 25, 2098
Wow! Has it been that long since my last holo-rec? No wonder this little turd next to me is the same height as me. Anyway, here we are, Zi-Yen with me on guard duty, and we are bored out of our minds! There’s nothing out here, just dunes as far as the eye can see.
“Hey Zi-Yen, look into my holo-rec and tell the people who we are watching out for.”
“Henchmen, yay.”
As you can tell, he is excited (not really), and we’ve been on guard duty daily, just watching, waiting, and looking.
“Hey King, what it like?” he asked me.
“What is what like?”
“Voices, inside you.”
“Really, Zi? Okay, fine, I’ll tell you. It’s something that can’t be shut off, no glory, no great power,” I said.
“What you hear first?”
“I screamed my bloody head off! This is making me angry…”
“Okay, okay,” Zi-Yen backed down.
“It started with a memory, and I remembered being in a lab, inside a liquid. Ki-Yo was a scientist in Tech City. I wasn’t born like everybody else.”
“No mother, father?”
Wait, I see something glimmering out there in the distance. Hold on for a sec; we need to investigate. Till next time.
