His Ex-wife’s Comeback ( Nancy and Liam )

Chapter 13

Chapter 13 You’re Too Unattractive

When Liam hurried to the apartment, Layla was on her knees, covering her face and, sobbing.

“Layla.”

As soon as Layla saw Liam, she saw him as her savior and immediately reached out her arms and threw herself into his embrace. “Liam, save me!”

Liam noticed that the left side of Layla’s face was completely red, and his expression. immediately turned cold. He looked towards Charlotte with displeasure and asked, “Mom, why didn’t you inform me before you came?”

Charlotte, the daughter of the Walker family, was just as imposing, even when sitting in a wheelchair. She could be as cold as Liam. She glanced over with a cold tone.

“You recently got divorced and have a mistress. Did you inform me about

it?”

She was wearing a dress, with a thin blanket draped over her legs. The embroidery on it was exquisite and beautiful, crafted by Nancy’s hands. The scarf she wore was also a gift from Nancy.

Charlotte raised her hand, and the maid standing behind her immediately understood and lit a cigarette for her.

Liam frowned. “Layla is not feeling well; please don’t smoke in front of her.”

“Is that so?”

Charlotte exhaled a puff of smoke and glanced at the tea table. “She can leisurely drink coffee even with stomach cancer. I don’t see any signs of her being ill. On the other hand, Nancy has hypoglycemia, but I haven’t seen you show any concern.”

It’s about Nancy again.

Liam said coldly, “I have already divorced Nancy; there’s no point in mentioning her.”

Charlotte looked at her son’s cold and stern expression, and a mocking smile appeared on her face. “Look at my son’s heartless appearance; you’re just like your father. If I had known that I would go through so much hardship and give birth to a scumbag like wouldn’t have had you.”

Mentioning his father, Liam’s thin lips tightened, and his expression turned even colder.

“If we can’t talk about Nancy, then let’s talk about the woman by your side.”

Charlotte took a puff of her cigarette and looked at the woman crying in Liam’s arms, her face full of disgust. “Enough, what are you pretending for in front of me? You really learned well from that shameless aunt of yours. Just now, you were so quick–witted in arguing with me, but now you’re acting weak? Are you waiting for your man to stand up for you? Don’t forget, he is my son.”

Layla bit her lip; she despised her so much but was not daring to show the slightest bit. Her eyes were filled with tears as she slid down from Liam’s embrace and pleaded with Charlotte.

“Madam Walker, I know you dislike me because of the conflicts between you and my aunt. My aunt and Mr. Austin truly loved each other, just like me and Liam. We have loved each other for so many years. If it weren’t for the troubles in my family and your interference, I wouldn’t have gone abroad, and Liam and I wouldn’t have broken up. We would have been married by now. Maybe by this time, you would have already held your grandchild.”

“Haha, what kind of dreams are you having?”

Charlotte couldn’t stand it anymore and coldly interrupted Layla, “Let me tell you, Ms. Rivera, even if all the women in this world were dead and my son lived a lonely life, I would never let him marry you. Do you understand?”

That damn old witch!

Layla clenched her teeth, longing to

overturn her wheelchair. If she hadn’t been so controlling in the past, the Rivera family wouldn’t have gone bankrupt, and she wouldn’t have suffered so much abroad!

It was all because of this woman; she wished she could tear her apart!

Liam reached out and helped Layla up, standing in front of her to confront his mother’s cold stare. “Mom, I can make my own decisions when it comes to marriage. Please don’t worry about it. Finn, please escort Madam back.”

Finn stepped aside, trying to make himself less noticeable, and reluctantly approached Charlotte to ask her to leave.

“My grown up and is now pushing me away. How wonderful!” Charlotte clapped

on has her hands and sneered. “Son, your father betrayed me back then, causing me to lose my legs. If you dare to marry her, on the day of your wedding, I, as your mother, will give you

a big surprise. Just wait and see”

Liam watched his mother as she left, his fists slowly tightening at his sides and the sound of his knuckles cracking. Suddenly, he slammed his fist against the wall, causing it to tremble.

Layla was startled. “Liam…”

After dealing with Cerci, Nancy returned to her room, removed her makeup, and took a shower.

Lying in bed. she couldn’t fall asleep at all. Her mind was filled with thoughts about Layla.

In fact, she had known who Layla was for a long time, and she was aware of the complicated relationship between the Rivera family and the Walker family. However, she couldn’t understand why Liam insisted on marrying her.

If it were her, if someone dared to take away her father and cripple her mother’s legs, she would have killed that woman and even wanted to destroy her entire family. How could she possibly get along with that person’s family?

Liam seemed rational, not like someone in love. Could it be that he had double standards and treated only the women he liked in this way?

Nancy tossed and turned, becoming more and more annoyed as she thought about it. In the end, she couldn’t sleep and decided to get up. She dialed a number and said. “You said

wanted to take me out for a night, so let’s do it tonight. I want to drink.”

The night was dark, but the Ocean Club was brightly lit.

This was the largest luxury

ub in Southern California, with VIP membership and facial recognition for entry. The doorman’s eyes were sharp, rejecting anyone they didn’t recognize without saying a word.

A man wearing sunglasses stood at the entrance with an indifferent expression. He ignored familiar faces until he saw a red Porsche driving into view, and a hint of joy appeared on his face.

He quickly walked up and opened the car door. “I thought you weren’t coming. I’ve been waiting for you for half an hour.”

Just wait inside. Why did you come out?”

Nancy took off her shoes and stepped out of the car, wearing a pair of golden high heels.

She was dressed in a cool and bold red dress, which stunned the bodyguards at the

entrance.

Had Mr. Gary found a new love again? This lady was so beautiful.

Gary looked at Nancy’s outfit and nodded in satisfaction. “You look stunning like this. It’s much better than always dressing like an old nun.”

“If you can’t speak properly, then be quiet.”

Nancy glared at the young man impatiently, then walked in without any obstacles. Cary wanted to take her to a private room, but she shook her head and sat down at the bar, saying, “It’s boring in the private room. I can still look at handsome guys here.”

She pointed at the bar and ordered a glass of vodka. She drank it down like water without changing her expression. Gary said, “You can’t handle alcohol well; you should drink less.”

There was a commotion in one of the private rooms, and the manager rushed over to invite Gary.

“I’ll go and check it out. You stay here and wait for me; don’t wander around.”

Nancy waved her hand, indicating that he should go quickly.

It had been a while since she had been to such a lively place, and it had also been a while since she had consumed alcohol. She drank glass after glass, gradually becoming intoxicated. More and more attractive men approached her.

“Excuse me, are you alone? Let me buy you a drink.”

Nancy blushed slightly as she looked at the man. She playfully wagged her finger and replied, “No, you’re not very appealing. It’s not pleasant to look at you.”

“You deserve to be punished,” the man who was called unattractive fumed, ready to retaliate. However, someone grabbed his wrist. A tall and slender man approached and said, “Why pick a fight with a woman? Let’s settle this amicably.”

Realizing that his wrist was twisted and he couldn’t win, the man left without saying a word, seething with anger

The tall man turned to Nancy, a mischievous smile on his face. “Beautiful lady, what’s the fun in just drinking? Would you like to dance with me?”

Nancy looked up and carefully observed this handsome man. She innocently giggled.
