Chapter 105
Chapter 105
Xamer took Lily's delicate hand, gently caressing her skin. He asked, "What's wrong?"
"I want to buy another car. It's inconvenient for me to get to work." Lily's eyes sparkled as she made her request.
Suddenly, Xavier's gaze sharpened. His once soft expression turned intense as he scrutinized her. If he believed she had changed, tonight she was just as she bad always been But if he thought she hadn't changed, this was the first time she had been so direct in asking for something.
The car that had been totaled was one he had offered to buy her. It was a hassle for her to always rely on his car, so he had gotten it for her out of
"Alright." Kevier didn't refuse. "You can use my card. If you're free this weekend, I'll go with you to pick one out. Whatever you want, I'll get it for you."
Lily was taken aback. She had expected him to just pay for it, as before, but now he said he'd go with her to look at cars.
After thinking, she replied, "There's no need for all that. Just get the same one as last time. I'm used to driving it."
"Since you're used to it, why not get a better model? It'll suit the status of Mrs. Fulton."
Xavier took her hand, pressing it to his lips in a gentle kiss while his gaze lingered on her.
Lily's long, captivating eyes met his, and she smiled faintly. "It wouldn't be appropriate to be too flashy at work."
"Then don't go to work." Xavier didn't stop her from working because he had noticed her emotional decline because of Hayden. Now, he regretted her being at Terence's company. However, Lily cut him off before he could voice his regret. "Alright then. This weekend, we'll go look at cars-something that matches the status of Mrs.
Fulton
She agreed to his wish, but his eyes darkened. His grip on her wrist tightened as he pulled her into his arms and toward the bed.
He understood that Lily had her intentions. She could keep her job at Lupier, for now, as long as she remained as she was before.
It had been a long time since they shared those intimate moments. Xavier didn't want to bring up anything unpleasant now and spoil the moment.
Lily sank into the soft bed, her head supported by his hand as he pressed his lips to hers. She was so sott, and it felt almost unreal.
The night deepened. It was hard for her to cooperate but just as hard to resist completely.
Her brows furrowed slightly, her hair sticking to the back of her neck. She had been acting out for days, and Xavier had only touched her once. He had been holding back for so long that it was becoming unbearable.
He didn't notice that Lily was not the same as before. Lily didn't have the right to refuse in his moment of weakness.
Unfortunately, she had to work the next day. She fell into a deep sleep in the early hours, barely getting enough rest before waking up.
Her legs ached, but she forced herself to walk to the bus stop, 30 minutes away. Fortunately, the bus arrived just two minutes after she got there.
There are only three more days until the weekend. Once she had the car, she wouldn't have to endure this anymore. But those three days would be grueling
Xavier exhausted her every night. Having held back for so long, his desire was overwhelming. By the end of it all, Lily was completely drained. Yesterday, she had pushed through sheer willpower, returning home and trying her best to avoid him. Now, she was so tired she felt weak, not wanting
to deal with him at all.
Feeling a sense of triumph, Xavier eventually realized something was off with Lily. It was the distance, the coldness.
Aside from the night she mentioned buying the car, she had been proactive, taking his bag and serving him, but after that, she reverted to her distant
behavior when she first came home.
At night, regardless of whether he was done eating, she would finish her meal, set her bowl down, and leave.
