Heart Stolen by A Heartless Man

Chapter 24 Car Accident

Greyson's head was ringing.

Last night...

He shouldn't fall asleep, he had to go to Hattie...

But no matter how strong his will was, he couldn't withstand the tremendous shock and pain. Everything was loud...

He could hear wailing and screaming, and the sirens from the police car and the ambulance.

Greyson began to lose his sight, the last thing before his eyes was something pitch red.

He couldn't die, he definitely couldn't die here...

At the same time.

Hattie suddenly felt a shiver down her spine as she was sitting at the airport waiting to board. Her hand trembled and the cup fell onto the ground. The water spilt everywhere.

"Hattie?" Jensen quickly checked up on her condition, "Are you okay? Are you feeling unwell?”

"It's nothing, I'm fine. My hand just gave out." Hattie shook her head, "I'm sorry that I spilt the water."

"No worries, I'll go get the janitor to clean it up. Don't go anywhere and wait for me here." Jensen ruffled her hair and left to get the janitor.

Hattie stared at his back quietly until it vanished from her sight, she then looked down and stared at the cup which had been rolling around on the floor.

She had a weird feeling of consternation.

She blinked her eyes repeatedly.

Was she thinking too much?

She gripped on the corner on her shirt restlessly.

Why was she afraid? The plane was going to take off soon and Greyson couldn't do anything to her anymore.

Greyson... He would start his life anew soon.

She was a bit dejected. She tried to take a deep breath and cheer herself up.

She should stop thinking about it. She should've already known how the rest of her life would play out.

She didn't owe anyone anything.

She didn't burden Greyson and managed to rescue her father. She didn't interrupt the Morgan family's business development and wouldn't bring Jensen any trouble in the future. But life was so tiring...

Maybe it was a mistake from the start, falling in love with Greyson.

Her life would be completely different if she never fell in love with Greyson.

Hattie smiled bitterly.

Not long after, Jensen came back with a janitor. The janitor quickly cleaned the floor and soon it was time for them to board the plane.

Jensen held out his hand to Hattie and said, "It's time."

Hattie hesitated, but she took his hand in the end.

Jensen was slightly taken aback, but he smiled and held her hand tightly. He never let go of it after that.

When they were about to pass through the boarding counter, Hattie couldn't help but look back.

Greyson wasn't there.

Why would he be there?

Hattie smiled as if she was laughing at her own foolishness. She then turned around and followed Jensen, and she never looked back.

That was how it should be for Greyson and her. This was probably the best outcome for them.

But she really really loved him.

Since the beginning until today, her feelings never changed. And it wouldn't change in the future either.

Nobody would love him more than she ever does.

But she still hoped that he would find someone that loved him more than her.

She wished that in the future, he could meet a better girl. A girl would love him in her stead.

Finnley just found out that Hattie had left with Jensen. Shortly after he hung up his phone, he received a call from his subordinate

"What's up?" answered Finnley in an upbeat voice.

"Mr. Morgan, it's terrible! Master Morgan had an accident!" The subordinate sounded frightened, "He is now on the way to the hospital in an ambulance..." "What?! What happened?!" yelled Finnley at the grievous news.

"Master Morgan... he found out that Miss Moss was leaving, and he drove to the airport, and then..." replied the subordinate.

"Bastard! Which hospital is he at?" Finnley was so mad his chest heaved. Nobody knew who he was cursing at.

The subordinate immediately told him the location. Finnley quickly hung up the call and rushed to the hospital.

This unfilial son!

For that woman he actually...

Yes, he poisoned his son, but he had full faith that Hattie would save him. He did everything for the Morgan family.

But what about his son? All he did was being immersed in love!

How many times did he go against him just because of this woman?!

Finnley was cursing angrily in his heart, but he was very worried.

He didn't even call his driver. He drove to the hospital by himself, even running a few red lights on the way.

Nervous and clumsily, he finally made his way to the surgery room after inquiring from the nurses.

The red light on the surgery door blinded his eyes.

Very quickly, a nurse came up to him and asked, "Hello, are you the family of the patient?"

"I'm his father," said Finnley.

"Great, we have a lack of B-type blood in our blood bank. Do you perhaps have the same blood type as your son?" asked the nurse.

"Yes." Finnley nodded, "Take my blood."

The nurse quickly led the way.

Finnley then asked, "Are his injuries...serious?"

"I'm not too sure as I'm not the surgeon nor the surgical nurse, but his condition doesn't look too positive," replied the nurse, "But don't worry, we'll do our best to save him." Finnley had a grim look on his face, "Do you know who the person in the surgery room is? It will be the end of this hospital if you guys failed to save his life."¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶
