Harvey York’s Rise to Power

Chapter 6288

Chapter 6288

Zhuri was taken aback slightly. She thought Harvey was going to make a move against Hector, so she didn't

reply immediately.

Kartier, who was standing next to Zhuri, gave it a thought and said, "If I'm not mistaken, Mr. Thompson and Ms.

Zimmer are here for the Eyed Bead. I heard it has a special meaning for the Zimmers."

"The Eyed Bead?' Harvey mumbled.

He had already given the nine Beads of Eyes to Mandy already.

What was she up to auctioning for sEyed Bead here today?

Harvey took a deep breath after giving it a moment to calm his emotion down.

He then waved his hand and led the others to the seats reserved for Country H Commercial Group without

alerting anyone else.

There was only about half an hour before the auction was going to start, and other attendees started to arrive.

While Harvey was sitting at the seat reserved for the chairman of Country H Commercial Group, none of the

waiting staff cto take care of him.

Someone either had intentionally made it so, or someone knew that the so- called next chairman was just a joke.

Harvey didn't mind it, and simply started to flip the well-made catalog in front of him.

He gave the so-called Eyed Bead that Kartier mentioned a closer look.

The bead should be genuine; it really looked like it had existed for over a millennium, and looked a lot like how

the legends said it should be.

However, this Eyes Bead looked completely different from the nine Eyed Beads he gave to Mandy, that the

founder had crafted.

Harvey took a deep breath; he couldn't discern why Mandy was here and hid the questions in his heart. At the

stime, he took a sip of coffee to keep himself awake.

Mandy wasn't the star of today's show, after all.

"Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, welcome."

Half an hour later, an old man with a calm expression and wearing a gray suit walked up on stage and behind

the podium. Everyone looked at him excitedly.

"The auction officially begins now..."

Following his announcement, the first item on auction appeared very quickly.

It was a necklace formed by 108 beads, all individually crafted from a mammoth tusk. Their colors were

extremely lustrous, making them look like masterfully polished gemstones. Quality-wise, they were impeccable.

Something like this was a rare antique even if one were to compare it to what the world had to offer. To certain

religions, the symbolism it carried was unimaginable. Comment by Brandon Leong: for sreason isTLed as

both Christianity and Buddhism, so I just vague it lar. 1 That was why the moment it appeared, a man of high

office from the Oeus Temple had bought it.

The next thing that was on auction was a bronze button that had existed for a few hundred years.

While the button looked like something ordinary, several men from the spaganistic tradition almost

physically fought each other for it.

Harvey narrowed his eyes and recognized it to be a treasure belonging to the pagan tradition. Unfortunately,

those who didn't follow that tradition couldn't use it.

The third item on auction was a masterfully crafted pottery, which was created from a dynasty that existed

about a millennium ago. It had the color of the sky, and it was said only about a dozen of these survived. This

pottery was a perfectly-preserved eight-angled cup.

Many of the men and women who were of high status broke their silence, and all started to call out their bids. In

just a few moments, the bidding price of that piece of pottery had reached tens of millions of dollars.

There were other items that were put on auction after that. The Eyed Bead Mandy wanted had also attracted the

attention of others.

However, Harvey had also noticed that the moment Mandy was making her bids, not a lot of people were

competing with her. In the end, the Eyed Bead went to Mandy with the price of 18.5 million dollars.

Harvey's eyes darkened, but he didn't stop her from obtaining it.
