Chapter 851
Chapter 851 He’s the Owner
A young woman in office attire shouted.
She was Darcy’s old friend, Nancy Braus.
Nancy’s power suit hugged her curves. Though her appearance was not as striking as Darcy’s, Nancy had her unique charm.
She approached hurriedly with the management team in tow.
“Ms. Braus!”
Kefier frowned.
He was displeased with Nancy for undermining his authority.
Kefier had only been on the job for two days, but he had his eyes on Nancy’s position. He believed he would make a better
general manager.
To replace Nancy at her job, Kefier needed to suck up to Taz and the owner who was about to check into Mountain Dew Estate
that night.
Kefier went up to explain with a smile, “Ms. Braus, this man hit me and attacked Mr. Hobbs and his friends. I told the employee to
call security, and he refused to take my orders. I was only trying to scare-”
“Who hit you?”
With her patience running thin, Nancy interrupted Kefier.
Kefier was smug, thinking Nancy caught wind of the assault on Taz. He cocked his head and pointed the finger at Kaze.
“There he is, Ms. Braus. That’s the attacker.”

Kefier dramatized the events to paint Kaze as a monster.
To Kefier, Kaze committed a heinous crime.
Nancy glanced at Kaze, who kept a smirk on his face. She felt assured that Kefier’s little stunt did not offend Kaze.
“Were you hit?” she asked Kefier.
Kefier removed the bunched tissues from his nostrils and played the victim. He said, “The boy is cocky, Ms. Braus. He beat us up
when things did not get his way. My nose is bleeding.”
“You deserve it.”
Nancy scoffed.
“Huh?”
Dumbfounded, Kefier turned flushed. “What do you mean, Ms. Braus?”
“What do I mean? I know what you did.”

Nancy said coldly, “You did not intervene to prevent our guests from being harassed. In fact, your behavior contributed to the
situation. Mountain Dew Estate will be ruined in the hands of employees like you.”
Kefier did not expect Nancy to turn the tables on him.
Nancy sure made a big deal out of the matter,
It was likely Nancy was looking for an excuse to fire him. Freaking out, Kefier grew grim.
‘Nancy, you bitch! Don’t blame me for getting back at you!!
With that in mind, Kefier pointed at Nancy and yelled angrily, “As a general manager, why are you defending the attacker?
“We have VIPs coming to the resort tonight, including Mr. Hobbs, Lil Dee the influencer, and the owner.
“How can you let such a dangerous man stay at the resort? What about the owner’s safety, Ms. Braus?”
Nancy and the management team made funny faces at his indignant speech.
Kaze was amused and annoyed.
Kefier criticized him and used him as a means of intimidation in the same breath. He was playing bad cop and good cop all on
his own.
Kaze waved his arm. “Enough, Nancy. Don’t waste your time with him. Just send him packing.” “Who do you think you are, boy?
It’s not your place to speak. Get lost!”
Livid, Kefier glared at Kaze.
“Enough, Kefier!”
Nancy chided, “He’s the owner.”
“Huh?”
Dumbstruck, Kefier glanced at Kaze and then at Nancy. He cried in disbelief, “No way! You’re lying, Ms. Braus! He can’t be the
owner.
He could not believe it.
The way he saw it, the owner of Mountain Dew Estate should be a middle–aged wealthy man in a suit, likely surrounded by an
entourage.
Kaze was young and wore an off–brand T–shirt and jeans.
He did not look like someone who could fork out two billion dollars to buy a resort for his wife.
