Chapter 893
As they approached, Flora tucked her phone away and shot an indifferent glance at Adrian.
"Three minutes? Way too slow."
Adrian just sighed, feeling a bit conflicted.
Flora's talent was beyond anything he had anticipated. He had assumed her racing skills would be top-notch, a real asset to the Reyes Racing Team. But now, it seemed she might be more of a whiz with theory than behind the wheel. Perhaps she was better suited as a co-pilot.
"Miss, there's something I need to tell you," Andy said, hesitating for a couple of seconds.
Flora remembered him as a solid driver with a few rough edges. With some work, he could really improve.
She flashed a small smile, "Go on, I've got something to say to you, too."
Andy was momentarily dazzled by her smile. She was stunning, no doubt about it. But no matter how captivating, her racing skills just weren't track-ready.
Taking a deep breath, Andy continued, "Miss, I don't think you're ready for the racetrack."
"From what we've seen, against any driver from the Jones family, you'd only end up losing."
"Andy, shut it!" Adrian snapped, his anger flaring.
"It's fine, let him speak," Flora said calmly, raising a hand to stop Adrian and Kruz from interrupting. Her expression gave nothing away.
Andy clenched his jaw and pressed on, "We appreciate your desire to help the Reyes Racing Team, but your involvement would only slow us down and damage our reputation."
As the rest of the team gathered, having finished their laps, they were taken aback by Andy's bluntness.
"What are you saying, Andy?"
"Apologize to her, quick!"
"Miss, Andy didn't mean it, he's just like that..."
The young drivers quickly tried to defend Andy, worried Flora might hold his words against him.
Andy stood firm, convinced Flora didn't belong on the track.
"Hey sis, don't let it get to you. I'll straighten this guy out for you!" Adrian chimed in, trying to lighten the mood.
Flora stayed silent for a moment, sizing up Andy with a cool gaze. Her eyes were unreadable, making everyone a bit uneasy.
"Why bother teaching him a lesson?" Flora finally spoke, her tone icy. "You, get in the car," she directed at Andy.
Andy was taken aback. What did she mean? Get in the car for what?
He knew his words might have upset Flora, but he felt they needed to be said. He was ready for her wrath; in fact, her silence was more unsettling than any scolding could be

"So, you think I'm not track material?" Flora asked, giving him a sidelong glance. "If I beat you, does that mean I'm qualified?"
She hadn't anticipated such a misunderstanding. She'd just been trying to help them spot issues, but now they were questioning her abilities. "You... beat me?" Andy was floored.
The others in the Reyes Racing
Team were equally stunned. They'd seen Flora's earlier performance, and it was clear she wasn't up to par with Andy or any of them.
Challenging Andy seemed lite par

Flora's patience was wearing thin. "Get in the car," she repeated. Time was ticking, and noon was approaching.
After a moment of hesitation, Andy
climbed in. He wasn't sure what Flora was up to, but since she was up for the challenge, he'd go along with it f she lost, maybe she'd drop
the idea of joining the qualifying race.
