Chapter 1354
Fiona was one of those people who could sleep anywhere, even in a stranger's bed, and do so with a smile on her face. But that night, something felt off. It was the noises outside that did it, pulling her from a deep sleep.
The following morning, she awoke in Jackson's plush villa to find an unfamiliar woman had arrived. This woman was dressed to the nines, her clothes practically shouting 'money' and 'class.'
Still a bit groggy, Fiona forgot she wasn't in her own space. She was in a loose spaghetti-strap top and had thrown on one of Jackson's shirts, buttoned all crooked. She yawned as she headed downstairs, oblivious to the fashion faux pas.
When she opened the door, there was Jackson, chatting away with this stranger. Fiona's mind snapped to attention, and a wave of unease washed over her. The woman had given Jackson's shoulder a friendly pat, and Fiona couldn't help but feel a twinge of jealousy. Playing it cool, she ruffled her hair and called out a cheery greeting. "Hey... good morning, everyone."
Jackson glanced up, his eyes softening when he saw her. But the woman seemed taken aback, clearly startled by Fiona's youthful appearance. It was like she couldn't believe her eyes.
"This... this girl looks so young," she thought. "What's happening here?"
Still, Jackson remained calm, unfazed by the woman's reaction, even gesturing for Fiona to join them. Fiona, with her usual ease, hopped down the last stair and stood next to him, exuding an innocent charm. "This is my sister, and this is... I..." Jackson began, but Fiona jumped in before he could finish, her spirits lifting upon realizing the woman was his sister.
"Nice to meet you, I'm Fiona, a friend of Mr. Woods. Just call me Fiona," she said with a bright smile.
With the mystery solved, Fiona relaxed, though the woman still seemed uneasy, especially after hearing Fiona's name. She couldn't quite believe it-this was the girl who'd tangled with her son, Nash.
No wonder Jackson had been buzzing around the school. Her brother, the workaholic, usually never took time away from his job for anything. But now, it all added up. There was something different in the way Jackson looked at Fiona, a look she'd never seen before.
Her intuition told her there was more to this story. Her brother had clearly fallen for Fiona! The prospect of juicy gossip had her positively buzzing, even making her forget about the incident with her son.
Brimming with curiosity, she
bypassed Jackson and took Fiona's
hand, giving her a playful wink. "You're quite the looker! How old are you? You probably know me-m Nash's mom, the one you had a little run in with."
Fiona's smile wavered for just a moment, but she quickly composed herself, adopting a sweet, soft-spoken tone. "Oh, now I
remember! I didn't recognize you at I first you look so young! I thought you were Mr. Woods' sister
