Chapter CHAPTER 369
Chapter 369
Jillian was clearly pushing her buttons.
Mr. Richard and Raul Henrik were still in the room, seemingly daring her to retaliate and curious if she had the guts to do so.
Raul, who had been rather friendly at first, quickly turned cold at Jillian’s provocation.
Henrik’s expression also hardened, his voice icy as he spoke, “Miss Evans, I’m really curious about what you said or did to provoke our usually sweet Flora into hitting you.”
“So, now it’s my daughter’s fault?” A deep male voice came from the doorway as a middle–aged man in a suit walked in.
Jillian’s face lit up, and she exclaimed, “Daddy!”
The man limped slightly, leaning on a cane. His difficulty in walking seemed to cast a perpetual chill around him, making him hard to warm up to.
Mr. Richard quickly stood to offer Christian a seat.
Christian’s leg had been injured by a gunshot while serving as a medic at the border. Untreated in time, he was left with a permanent limp.
Christian adored Jillian, and seeing the scars on her face, his already stern expression grew even darker.
“Mr. Richard, I sent my precious daughter here to study, and she ends up seriously injured. What do you have to say about that?”
“Daddy! It’s her, Flora!” With Christian present, Jillian’s arrogance flared. She pointed at Flora and bitterly spat out, “She not only hit me but also insulted the Grant family!”
“I did not,” Flora responded calmly, in stark contrast to Jillian’s tantrum. “I hit her because she insulted my deceased mother.”
“And I never spoke ill of her or her family. As for swapping the speech scripts, that was all her doing. According to school rules, such malicious acts during major events that tarnish the school’s image are severely punished, up to expulsion.”
“So, Mr. Richard, before we discuss my case, shouldn’t we address Jillian’s actions first?”
Mr. Richard’s expression turned serious. He trusted Flora’s words far more than Jillian’s. Insulting someone’s deceased mother? No wonder she got hit.
Mr. Richard’s piercing gaze fixed on Jillian, his authority palpable. “Jillian, did you swap the speech scripts?” Years of leadership had given Mr. Richard a usually cheerful demeanor, but when he got serious, a single look from him was enough to make anyone’s heart skip a beat.
Jillian’s heart pounded as she nervously clenched her fists. “The speech script issue was investigated. A freshman from the fashion design department did it, how could it involve me! Flora is just trying to slander
me!”
Knock, knock, knock-
“Mr. Garcia, may we come in?”
At the door stood Daria and Odelia.
Seeing Odelia, Jillian’s grip tightened around her fists.

What was Odelia doing here? She wouldn’t dare betray Her, unless she wanted to be kicked out of school for good.
Sitting next to Jillian, Christian watched her expression closely. He knew his daughter well. Her reaction confirmed his auspicions the speech script swap was likely her doing.
But what if they were related?
