Chapter CHAPTER 365
Chapter 365
But now, Flora’s lips curled into a smirk, her eyes narrowing with a sinister glint.
“I’m just waiting to see if I get to you first, or you get to me.”
Each word, like a shard of ice, stabbed at Jillian’s heart. Fear, or maybe something else, made Jillian stumble backward.
Flora was already striding away.
Cynthia and Eilies, not bothering with Jillian, hurried to catch up. Flora didn’t say a word until they reached the dorm building. Her mood was foul.
“Flora, please don’t let Jillian get to you. She’s just got a foul mouth, not worth the energy!” Cynthia was nervous but didn’t want to see Flora like this. Mustering courage, she tried to calm her down, “You’ve already given her a hit, right? If you’re still mad, next time you see her, just tell her off, okay?”
She carefully pulled out some candies from her pocket. “Food is the best medicine when you’re upset. Whenever I’m down, a bit of sugar always cheers me up! Here, have some candy, please don’t be mad anymore, alright?”
Flora stayed silent, opening the dorm room door. Once inside, she turned on the air conditioner, took off her sun jacket, and plopped onto a chair. The cool air eased some of her irritation.
Only then did she look up at Eilies and Cynthia standing in front of her. Eilies held a glass of water, while Cynthia, with candies in one hand and a small fan in the other, was fanning her.
Seeing Flora look up, both of them smiled. Eilies, not much of a smiler, looked a bit awkward. Cynthia’s chubby cheeks squished together when she smiled, looking irresistibly cute, tempting Flora to pinch them.
So she did.
First, she gently pinched Cynthia’s cheek, then took the candies from her hand and the water from Eilies.
“Not mad anymore?” Cynthia blinked.
“I was never mad at you two, just didn’t feel like talking,” Flora explained. She was always kind to those who were kind to her, and she had a bit more patience for them.
Cynthia and Eilies both smiled. This was the Flora they knew! They’d been genuinely scared for a moment there.
Just as they felt relieved, Flora stood up and strode towards Jillian’s bed. In the next two minutes, they watched as Flora neatly wrapped up Jillian’s blankets and sheets and tossed them out the door with a thud. Her books, skincare products, everything followed suit.
Soon, all of Jillian’s belongings were piled up at the doorway like a small mountain. Cynthia and Eilies were dumbfounded. “Flora…” Cynthia’s voice trembled.
Eilies looked at Flora sternly, “You just hit Jillian, and now you’ve thrown out her stuff. Do you realize what the consequences might be?”
If word got out, Flora would be branded a bully. If things escalated, she might even get expelled.
Without Jillian’s things around, Flora felt much better. She picked up her sun jacket, draped it over her shoulder, and walked out of the dormitory. As she passed the door, she patted Eilies, and Cynthia on the back of their heads.
“Don’t worry, you can always trust Flora.”
