Chapter 86
Chapter 86 Rush to the Date
But Maxwell didn’t want Camila to know so much. Maxwell wanted Camila to remain innocent and didn’t want those filth
to taint her.
So Maxwell shook his head and said, “You really think of me as a god, but how would I know so much?”
Camila believed it to be true. In Camila’s eyes, Maxwell’s ability to inquire about so many things was already impressive.
“Is Kristen in serious trouble? Will she be sentenced?”
“It’s hard to say, it depends on how much Kristen was involved.”
“What about Hudson?” Camila worried.
“I think you should be honest with Hudson and let him decide what to do,” Maxwell said.
“You’re right,” Camila immediately called Hudson.
But as soon as the call was connected, Maxwell snatched Camila’s phone away. “I’ll tell Hudson,” he said.
Maxwell walked out of the room with Camila’s phone and went to the yard, where he recounted the incident to Hudson.
Camila didn’t know why Maxwell insisted on speaking to Hudson alone. But Maxwell didn’t want Camila to hear, and Camila felt too embarrassed to eavesdrop, so she obediently
waited in the room.
Half an hour later, Maxwell came back,
“What did you say to Hudson? You talked for so long.”
“Men’s matters, you don’t need to ask so much,” Maxwell didn’t want to say more.
“Why do you still have secrets between you?” Camila became unhappy. “Hudson is my brother.”
“Look how worried you are. I told Hudson that I had someone‘ find a renowned orthopedic specialist for him abroad. I wanted to send Hudson overseas for treatment as soon as possible.”
“Really?” Camila exclaimed as she threw herself into Maxwell’s arms, “Why didn’t you tell me?”
“Daisy just replied to me, I haven’t had a chance to tell you yet.”
“Did Daisy help with the contact?” Camila was surprised. Wasn’t Daisy very dislike Camila?
“Yeah, otherwise, do you think I would have the ability?” Maxwell chuckled. “Actually, Daisy has been very good to me. Since we were young, Daisy has treated me like her own son. Maybe she is just a little unhappy that I got married without telling her.”
It makes sense to think that anyone would be unhappy if someone they considered their own son got married without telling them.
“But I felt that Daisy didn’t really like me, she liked Svetla,”
Camila said sadly.
“Svetla grew up in my house since she was little, so Daisy’s feelings towards her are naturally different. You have to understand this. However, Daisy is not unreasonable. I believe that Daisy will eventually accept you.”
“Would you?”
“Sure.” Maxwell kissed Camila’s forehead.
At that moment, Maxwell’s phone rang, it was Svetla calling.
Maxwell glanced at Camila and picked it up.
“Is there something wrong?”
“Did my brother want to see you?”
Maxwell raised an eyebrow, “Now?”

“Yes, Fantasy Club, second floor private room.”
Maxwell hung up the phone and asked Camila to change her clothes, to accompany him on a trip.
“Did you want to take me to meet Svetla?”
“No, there is also her brother, who is my cousin. We are all family, so you don’t need to be formal.”
Although Maxwell said so, Camila was still a little nervous. After all, she was meeting Maxwell’s family, so Camila couldn’t dress too casually.
Camila took a long time to choose. Camila chose a black, tight–fitting dress that was both dignified and elegant.

Then Camila tied up her long hair, looking fresh, natural, and graceful.
When Camila and Maxwell arrived at the nightclub, it was the wildest moment of the night.
Camila had never seen such a scene of extravagance, with deafening music and everyone dancing and swaying almost madly on the dance floor.
Everywhere one could see charming young girls, enchanting ladies, soul–stirring gazes, and seductive body movements, which couldn’t help but make people blush and their hearts race, turning their faces red and their ears hot.
Maxwell led Camila, swiftly weaving through the crowd, heading straight for the second floor.
On the way, someone deliberately bumped into Maxwell’s arms, but before they could touch him, Maxwell blocked them with his arm. Maxwell still had a disgusted expression on his
face.
Camila’s hand was held tightly by Maxwell throughout. Maxwell was afraid of losing Camila as if she would disappear.
Camila and Maxwell arrived at the second–floor private room. It seemed like they had been here before, as the waiter at the entrance récognized Maxwell.
The waiter saw Maxwell coming and quickly opened the door respectfully.
Maxwell gave a tip.
Camila looked at the stack of money, it seemed to be about
44.87€
130 dollars.
Did you give so much just by opening the door?
This prodigal man.
As she entered the door, Camila saw a total of three people inside, and surprisingly, she knew all of them.
One is Svetla, one is Ewan, and the other one that surprised her the most was Dimon, Felicity’s blind date.
Dimon was also surprised to see Camila.
“Ms. Lambert, why were you with my cousin?” Dimon asked.
“Do you know each other?” Maxwell was also surprised.
“Yes, we had a chance encounter,” Camila said.
“Let me introduce you, this is my cousin Dimon, the Chief Financial Officer of Felton Realty, and this is my wife, Camila.”
Dimon was initially stunned, then suddenly realized, “Just now Ewan was praising Camila for her beauty, I didn’t expect it to be Ms. Lambert. It’s truly a coincidence to meet from afar.”
Since the moment Svetla saw Camila enter, she didn’t say a word and her expression didn’t look good.
“Svetla, Camila came, why didn’t you even say hello?” Dimon said.
“I only had a cousin, but no cousin–in–law,” Svetla said as she picked up her glass and downed it in one gulp.
Ewan noticed that the atmosphere was not right and quickly
stood up to defuse the situation, saying, “Please sit down, everyone, don’t stand.”
Camila sat next to Maxwell in the middle of Ewan and Dimon.
On the left side of Camila was Dimon, and across from her
was Svetla.
As soon as Maxwell sat down, Dimon immediately started arranging the drinks.
In theory, Dimon was the crown prince of Felton Realty and also the CFO. Compared to Maxwell, the two of them had a significant difference in their power and status.
Even if Maxwell is a cousin, Dimon had no reason to bow and scrape in front of Maxwell, as if he had become half a head
shorter.
Camila felt something strange, but couldn’t put it into words.
Especially Camila had looked up Ewan online, and Ewan was not an ordinary person either. He was the Deputy CEO of Glory Gaming, and he also held controlling stakes in three publicly traded companies, with a net worth of 1.6 billion dollars.
Even a was respectful to Maxwell, as if Maxwell was the true leader among these people.
Camila couldn’t understand the mystery behind it, she just thought Maxwell was very popular and had so many wealthy friends around him.
Dimon poured a glass of red wine for Camila as well.
Camila knew her alcohol tolerance and refused to drink at all
costs. In the end, Maxwell drank the alcohol for Camila.
“Maxwell, I want to talk to you alone,” Svetla said as she walked over and pulled Maxwell towards the exit.
Camila watched Maxwell and Svetla holding hands as they walked out, feeling a bit uneasy.
Ewan realized it and hurriedly comforted, “Don’t worry, Maxwell knows how to handle things. If he was so easily kidnapped, he would have been kidnapped back and forth several times by now.”
