Chapter 76
Chapter 76 Maxwell Blushes
Camila picked up the pizza from the bag and started eating it. She hadn’t had dinner that night, and her scalp was still sore from Svetla pulling her hair.
“Didn’t you have dinner tonight?” Maxwell finally noticed
Camila.
“Hmm.” Camila burped, genuinely not intending to leave any food for Maxwell.
“Did you find a new job?” Maxwell thought of that day at the door of the private room, seeing Camila with Felicity.
Camila nodded.
“What job?”
“The job I was used to.” Camila didn’t want to deal with Maxwell.
Maxwell figured it out.
He parked the car in front of a gourmet restaurant.
Most of the people here were young couples.
“What were you doing here?”
“I brought you here to eat delicious food,” Maxwell got off the car, and Camila had no choice but to get off as well.
“The hairy crabs here were delicious.”

I was full.
“I was still hungry,” Maxwell said as he walked inside and made a phone call.
“Hello, I’m here. I’ve been waiting for you for a long time,” a mocking voice came from behind them.
Camila turned around and saw a slender young man. He had handsome features and was possibly over 1.9 meters tall, resembling a utility pole.
That man also saw Camila.
“Oh, is this Maxwell’s wife?” Ewan stared at Camila.
“Have you seen enough?” Maxwell said with displeasure, “Aren’t you hungry?”
“Can’t I see her? You’re so stingy,” Ewan said to Maxwell. Ewan and Maxwell were childhood friends, and their bond was as close as brothers.
Camila first met Maxwell’s friends. She didn’t expect him to be so conservative, yet he had such outgoing friends.
Camila walked behind them. Ewan had his arm around Maxwell’s shoulder, teasing him as they walked inside.
They found a private room.
Ewan ordered the hairy crab.
Camila suddenly regretted eating Maxwell’s midnight snack.
Ewan placed the biggest crab in front of Camila and said, “Don’t be polite. Today, it’s my treat. Enjoy your meal.”
Maxwell glanced at Ewan and thought he was being too dramatic.
Receiving Maxwell’s warning, Ewan became more restrained. They also ordered some beer.
They poured Camila another cup.
Camila didn’t want to drink originally, but Ewan was so enthusiastic that she ended up drinking three cups.
Slowly, she became a little drunk. She slumped onto the table, feeling drowsy.
Maxwell and Ewan arrived at the terrace of the private room.
“What’s been happening with Glory Gaming recently?” Maxwell asked.
Ewan was the second largest shareholder of Glory Gaming, just after Aden. However, what others didn’t know was that he was actually a spy planted by Maxwell in Glory Gaming, and all his actions were only following Maxwell’s orders.
In other words, Ewan was just a clone of Maxwell. However, Ewan had to be absolutely loyal to Maxwell.
“Aden intended to retire overseas, but he has not found a suitable successor yet. Recently, he has been in frequent contact with Louiswick’s Felton Realty, and it seems like they are planning to collaborate on a project.”
“What project?”
“I’m not quite sure about the specifics. Aden is very cautious in his actions. He wouldn’t disclose anything he’s not certain about.”
“Do you know Alan?” Maxwell asked.
“We had common topics to discuss.” Ewan and Alan both had the same interests, which were women and racing.
“You asked him to help me find someone.” Maxwell handed him an old photograph, showing a person with a chubby face and big ears, who was none other than the real estate developer Jeff Howard that Adam had introduced twenty
years ago.
“The price Alan wanted was not low,” Ewan said as he examined the photo.
“Tell him that as long as this person can be found, I am willing to pay any price. I want to see him in person or his dead body.”
“Who is this person?” Ewan had never seen Maxwell put in so much effort to find someone before.
“I will tell you later.”

Ewan didn’t ask any more questions and pocketed the photo.
Then he glanced into the room and saw that Camila seemed to be asleep.
“Hey, I heard Svetla came back. What should we do about this woman?”
“I and Svetla have already ended.” Maxwell looked at the vast night sky, his face slightly gloomy.
“No way, you’ve already forgotten about your old love once you found someone new? You don’t seem like that kind of person.” Ewan twirled his flirtatious eyes, “Have you already…
with her?”
“What has already happened?”
“Stop pretending. Have you fallen in love with her? That’s why you don’t even want your old love anymore?”
“You’re talking nonsense,” Maxwell said, unsure if it was the effect of alcohol or something else, his face unexpectedly turning red.
“Why are you blushing?” Ewan didn’t expect Maxwell to actually like Camila.
“When do you plan to tell her about your identity?” Ewan smirked, “She doesn’t even know that you’re wealthy.’‘
“It was not the time yet.”
Camila, in a daze, heard Ewan say he liked money and felt
confused. Maxwell walked back.
“Can we leave now?” Camila felt like she was about to fall asleep if they didn’t go back soon.
“Okay.” Maxwell helped Camila up. He suddenly remembered the scene in the car that night, and his body couldn’t help but
react.
Ewan discovered it and quickly said, “I booked a room in the hotel across the street, I’ll take you there.”
“Where are you taking me?” Camila leaned against Maxwell. His strong embrace gave her a long–lost sense of security, and she couldn’t help but reach out her arm and wrap it around Maxwell’s neck.

“Where do you want to go? I’m all ears,” Maxwell’s Adam’s apple bobbed, clearly struggling to contain his emotions.
“Wherever you go, I’ll go.” Camila felt so dizzy that she couldn’t open her eyes. She swore she would never drink alcohol again.
Then, she was embraced by Maxwell. Afterwards, they crossed the street, took the elevator, and kicked open the door to the room.
When Camila was pinned down by Maxwell on the big bed, her drunkenness completely wore off.
Maxwell hungrily kissed Camila’s body, however, in Camila’s mind, she was thinking about the night with Kevin…
She couldn’t let Maxwell know about that.
So, at the moment when Maxwell was struggling to control his emotions, Camila timely pressed the pause button.
She lied and claimed that she was not ready yet, asking Maxwell to give her some more time.
After a brief adjustment, Maxwell got up and went to the bathroom.
Looking at the disappointment in his eyes, Camila was torn. Should she tell Maxwell about what happened that night?
That night, Maxwell slept on the sofa, while Camila slept alone in the big bed.
In the early morning, Camila woke up and found that Maxwell had already left. But he didn’t forget to prepare breakfast for her and a new set of clothes.

Because the outfit was no longer wearable due to Maxwell’s destruction last night.
Maxwell was really thoughtful, even the size of Camila’s underwear was prepared perfectly.
When did Maxwell know her bra size so well?
Camila thought he was very rigid, but it seems she was wrong.
In fact, Camila wrongly accused Maxwell because it was Ewan who had people prepare these things.
Ewan knew how to please women, but it ended up causing trouble for Maxwell.
