Finding Rose

Chapter Breaking down the Wall

The whistle blew and both sides of the field ran towards eachother. It was like a battle was taking place, and the prize at stake was their pride. Rosalie saw that Locklin was coming straight for her. She looked to her right, and her left to see if there was an opening. She had wolves in both directions, so her only option was in front of her. He was bigger in size, so she had to decide quickly how she was going to stray out of his path. She sped up her pace to an alarming speed. She could see that he was getting ready to pounce head on. She did the only thing she could think of, and that was to drop on her side, and slide underneath him as he took into the air. From the spectators view, it happened in the blink of an eye, but for Rose, time slowed down. She took the opportunity while she was sliding underneath him and quickly grabbed a flag from his belt. She tumbled a bit towards the end, but then quickly stood up. Locklin quickly turned around and noticed her standing there with a flag in her mouth. He didn't believe it until, he turned to look at his belt, and sure enough one of his flags were gone. He growled and was ready to go for her again, but another of Rose's team came for him and he took off in another direction.

Rosalie took off too, trying to avoid the continuous barrage of wolves that attempted to grab her flags. There was one thing that Rosalie was good at. She was fast. She was real fast. Wolves were running into eachother, tackling eachother, nipping at eachother, in the hopes to stumble one and capture their flag while they were down. She was able to rest for a quick moment as she was no longer surrounded by the opposing team. She saw Mandy running, with two red's flanking her. She took off in her direction to go help. She ran straight towards her, and by luck of the draw Mandy knew her next move. Rosalie leaped into the air, jumping over her and landing in between the two wolves, grabbing a flag from one of them. The two wolves didn't know what hit them, as it was all a blurr.

"Ya! Rosalie your doing awesome!" Said Sam from the sideline.

Sam was watching as the red team tried there best to capture her flags. He could hear others on the sidelines, commenting on her.

"Damn she's fast." One man said in the crowd.

He smiled. "You have know idea." He thought to himself.

Rosalie could see the field was dropping players left and right. She saw Jesse was still on the field and had one flag left. She made him her next target. She took off. She had no problem catching up to him. He banked left and right trying to lose her. He was panting pretty hard, and couldn't seem to shake her. He was done for, as he saw her speed up behind him. She was close, and approached from the side, and got ready to take his last flag. Just as she was about to snatch it, she was knocked down hard to the ground by another. It knocked the wind out of her, and as she shook the dizziness away she felt the tug of her belt, as someone grabbed a flag.

"Stupid bitch." A voice said.

She quickly looked up, and saw Locklin walking away dropping her flag in the process.

Then a loud pearcing ping, rang through her ears, and she coward over in pain. It was intense and dimmed down after a few seconds, but made her whimper in agony. It grabbed the attention of Sam and some of the others. They came running towards her while she panicked frantically.

She could hear a thunderous clash of voices coming from all around the field. She opened her eyes to see Jesse first.

"Rosalie! what's wrong....are you ok?" He asked. His voice too filled her head.

"Sam what's happening?" Asked Mandy.

The overwhelming amount of voices sent shock waves through Rosalies body, and she continued to whimper in pain. Sam finally reached her and fell to the ground beside her.

"Rose! Rose! what's wrong can you hear me? Sam said panicking.

"Make it stop! Make it stop!" She cried.

She whimpered as she pried her eyes open. The voices faded, but the loud pinging continued, and her vision went dark. She could hear Sam yelling for help, before she fell into unconsciousness.

.....................

It was still dark, but she was awake. She could hear Henry talking to Sam on the other side of the door. She slowly opened her eyes and saw that she was in their room laid out on the bed. It was mainly whispers but it sounded as if they were right next to her. She had a horrible head ache and grabbed the attention of Sam.

"Sam?" She called to him.

He peered through the door and smiled at her when he saw she was awake. Mandy and Henry walked in right after.

"Hey, you gave us quite a scare out there today." Sam said softly. "We brought you here, when you fell unconscious. How are you feeling?" He asked.

"I feel better...but my head is killing me." She replied.

She looked up at Sam then looked at Henry and Mandy behind him. They had a look of shock written on their faces.

"Am I missing something?" Rose asked Sam. She quickly looked at her reflection in the mirror that sat on the wall.

"What!? do I have two heads or something...she paused..what!?"

"Rosalie." Henry said softly.

She looked at him. His mouth didn't utter those words. She looked confused like a deer in the headlights.

"Say that again." Her gaze still at Henry.

Mandy chuckled. "Earth to Rosalie!"

Her mouth was still, and she definitely heard her voice.

There was a slight chuckle coming from Sam. He was looking right at her. "I think we lost her guys." He said in mind transfer.

"Sam!?" She bolted from the bed. "I can hear you!" She quickly turned to Henry and Mandy. "I can hear all of you!"

She ran into Sam's arms, and in return he gave her the warmest embrace.

"How?" She asked giggling and sobbing at the same time.

"Well, we think what happened on the field today was your mind transfer coming into full effect." Said Henry. "Why it decided to happen today, we don't really know, but what you felt was an overwhelming surge of mind transfer. Typically when we are young and learning to control our shifts, we are able to ease into it, but yours turned on all at once." He finished.

Rosalie, looked down, as Sam continued to rub her back. She was too far in the moment to care how it happened. She didn't have to dive into the reasoning behind it. She new the time she spent with Sam and his family, and friends at the pack house helped open her up some more. Over the course of the last couple weeks she could physically feel the walls she put up so long ago breaking. She was happy.

Knock~ Knock

He didn't wait for an invitation, and Jesse let himself in the room.

"Hey, I came to check on the speed demon and make sure everyone was doing alright." He said with a smile.

Rosalie looked at him, and noticed he was still wearing his belt, that had one remaining flag on it. She got up from Sam's embrace and walked towards Jesse, tearing the flag off his belt.

"Really!?" He laughed.

"Really." She replied.

Jesse was mid laugh when he heard her talk for the first time. He looked shocked and quickly looked at the others in all wide eyed.

They all chuckled.
