Chapter Fall of Snow: Prologue
My little Snowflake.
I’ve watched you for so many years, I feel as if I’ve always been a part of your life.
I’ve watched you cry when you’re sad and smile when you’re happy. I’ve watched you celebrate the good times and drown your sorrows in the bad. And each moment that I’ve followed you, is a little better I get to know you.
And soon, you’ll be mine.
Your room is set up at my house, ready to cage the wildcat that hides under the surface. Most people wouldn’t try to clip your wings, but I will. You need someone to take care of you, someone who knows you better than you know yourself to protect you from the world, even if that means protecting you from yourself.
The last few months have been hard on you, I understand that, but it doesn’t give you the right to harm the body that belongs to me, even if you don’t know it yet.
The moment you started down the road of self-destruction, I began moving things into place to ensure you wouldn’t be your own demise.
I understand your heart is hurting, despite not having one myself, but I can no longer allow you the freedom you crave.
It is my hope that one day you’ll understand why I did this, and you’ll accept the life we are to have together.
You see, my little Snowflake, this plan has been in motion since the day we met when you were fifteen. Even then, you were the wild child of your family, as most youngest born are. There was something about you, something so completely entrancing that I found myself following you to see more. Like with most of my toys, I expected to grow bored, but if anything, the longer I spent following you, the more obsessed I became.
The feud between our families has certainly complicated things over the years, but now I’m running the show, I need a queen to stand by my side, and there is no one more fit for the job than you.
