Chapter 84
Chapter 84
“Who…who are you? Where am I?”
Edith looked around and saw it seemed to be a hotel, which made her panic at the unfamiliar surroundings.
Vanessa’s vicious curse was still echoing in her mind.
What was going to happen today?
She looked at the man in shock and said, “Don’t do anything stupid. Do you know who I am?”
You look a little similar to Vanessa. Are you two related?” Mr. Grismer replied disapprovingly with an evil look in his
eyes.
“But what does that have to do with me? Vanessa sent you here, and I’m only here to enjoy myself. As for who you are, I don’t care because you will be mine soon enough!”
His?
That word exploded in Edith’s mind like muffled thunder, inaking her tremble. The more frightened and uneasy she was, the more excited Mr. Grismer became.
“You… Let me go! I… I’m Simon Lawson’s wife. Do you know who that is? He’s the second son of the Lawson family!”
“So, your husband is the useless younger son of the Lawson family. I thought you would mention another name! I’m not afraid even if Simon is here in person. He’s not the one in charge of the Lawson family! Let me tell you. Even Simon can’t save you! What can you possibly do?”
Mr. Grismer said proudly.
Edith felt humiliated, but she couldn’t move.
“You…” Edith was so angry that she couldn’t speak. She tried her best to calm herself down, but she couldn’t.
The grim reality of her situation began to sink in.
“Is this bastard going to ruin me tonight?
“Is Vanessa going to get what she wants?
“Will the Lawson family kill me to hush things up?”
Questions came to her mind one after another. She couldn’t answer any of them. She had no power in this situation. What could she do?
She realized she was so humble and pitiful.
Perhaps this was the end of her life.
She closed her eyes in despair and no longer tried to resist. However, she clenched her fists so tightly that her nails. embedded in her flesh. She was ready….
She would prefer to die.
She would rather die than submit to this man!
Without thinking, she bit down on her tongue. At this moment, the door was kicked open from the outside.
