Ex-Husband’s Regret Barren Mommy Has Quadruplets By Dolly Molly

Chapter 2198

"Bella, you're finally awake!"

Christopher tightly grasped her hand, rubbing and kissing it with an almost desperate tenderness. "You slept for an entire day and night, and I was terrified... I was so scared something might be wrong with you. While you were asleep, I had a doctor come and give you glucose. You can't keep starving yourself. Even if you hate me to the core, it's not worth punishing yourself like this, is it?" Bella was a doctor herself, and she knew her body was close to its limit. As much as she loathed him, Christopher was right. If she wanted to kill him, she needed to regain her strength first. "I want meat." Bella spoke without looking at him.

For the first time in five days, Christopher received a non-hostile response from Bella. His eyes lit up. "Alright... I'll have the kitchen prepare it right now! Bella, it'll be ready soon. Just wait!" Within an hour, the kitchen had prepared a table full of delicacies for her.

Two maids helped her get ready while pushing her around in a wheelchair. By the time she emerged from the bathroom, her face regained a hint of color, but her cheeks remained sunken in. Christopher's gaze darkened with desire as he strode forward and lifted her from the wheelchair, holding her tightly against his chest.

Bella was flooded with hatred, but she was too weak to resist.

He carried her to the dining room. He kept her on his lap as he sat down, nestled within his arms.

"You're not well, so I'll feed you, Bella."

He gazed at her with deep affection, cutting the steak into small pieces and patiently feeding her.

It was common knowledge on Rose Island that Christopher's patience was reserved for Bella alone.

Bella mechanically ate the steak, bite after bite, until the plate was clean. Her once bright and lively eyes were now dull and lifeless.

"Good girl."

Christopher beamed with joy, as he gently stroked her cheek. "Eat well, gain some weight, and you'll look beautiful in the wedding dress. Of course, my Bella is already very beautiful now." The thought of the memory-erasing

drug made Bella tremble. She did not dare resist his intention to marry her too fiercely, but she also would not give in or try to please him. She simply remained silent.

The once proud and unyielding young lady was now at her limit, unable to fight any longer.

"Rest for a while, and later I'll take

you to see the rose fields I've grown just for you. I've planned to have the ceremony there." Christopher picked up a napkin and gently wiped her mouth clean. Bella remained silent and expressionless.

Her silence filled Christopher's heart with overwhelming joy. He believed that finally after five days and nights of torment, she had accepted her fate. Even if she still hated him she was too exhausted to struggle any longer.

Even so, he was still too cautious to skip her anesthetic injection, though he did allow himself to reduce the dosage slightly. Suddenly, a servant rushed in.

"Mr. Iverson."

"What is it?" Christopher asked coldly as he continued to feed Bella.

"There's a guest on the island."
