Chapter 8 The Reyes Bullying
All the Reyes has more of a winning confidence, as if silently despising her mantra and selfishness.
Venus pursed his lips bitterly.
Why would she ever consider such a family a home? Ridiculous to the extreme.
The courtroom investigation phase is followed by courtroom arguments.
Jane leaned close to Venus and whispered in his ear, "Mr. Nelson said that before he got here, whatever the other side said, you countered with a 'Do you have proof?"" Venus nodded, "Good."
Tommy, on behalf of the Reyes, threw out many accusations against Venus, in addition to the real ones and some they made up, detailing more about her past disrespect for the Reyes.
The wording was stern and logical, yet Venus didn't even listen, and when it was her turn to defend herself she just calmly denied it: "I didn't do this."
In the face of her repeated denials, Betty exploded and shot up to a high pitch.
"Do you think you can cover up your crime by not admitting it? You're jealous and vicious, the actress who was ganged before is the proof, and any woman who comes close to Darcel in these years will be driven away by you, Darcel, don't you think?"
Everyone's attention turned to Darcel, who narrowed his eyes and spoke firmly, "Yes."
Venus laughed.
Darcel frowned imperceptibly, his heart inexplicably irritated.
Venus stares at him and asks rhetorically, "As you say, if I really thought of Rosa as a love interest, I should not have harmed Master Orion, who lives Rosa will always be sister-in-law, no?"
"If you could be so reasonable, you wouldn't have done those things that hurt God! As our Mr. Sanders just said, you're a ruthless person who doesn't care about anything. Betty spat with dislike.
The presiding judge tapped the table to maintain silence: "Mr. Reyes, do you have anything to add to your sister's allegations against your ex-wife?"
Darcel sat motionless until Eric gave him a stern look.
"Yes, she has struck people, pushed them down the stairs, also attacked them in public with strong words, etc. Witnesses were brought."
Jane stood up with a foul mouth, anger burning in her eyes to the extreme: "Fuck, do you have a fucking face? Which animal said to Venus before the wedding that she should help you to solve the stalking women?
"Silence!"
Venus pulled Jane to sit down, and she was more and more calm compared to her best friend's grave.
Divorce is the right thing to do, she was blind before.
The women invited by the Reyes family each finished speaking, and Venus looked at them with a sneer as he was poured with dirty water: "Saying that I hit and insulted someone, did you take a video as evidence? And even if you did, how is it directly related to today's case?"
Tommy immediately retorted verbally, the wind had changed, and Venus noticed that Eric and the judge had a quick glance at each other.
She wanted to laugh, using money and power to bully others, shameless!
Venus' request for a temporary recess was denied by the presiding judge, and Darcel was expressionless: "It is true that there is no direct evidence that she killed Orion, but she is the biggest and only suspect. and on behalf of the Reyes family, I request that she be detained in custody until the next trial."
Jane's face was red with anger and she tried to shake off Venus' hand that was still holding her.
Venus' grip tightened.
"Venus! Can't you see, it says detention and custody, but in fact next time you'll be sentenced to go straight in, the Reyes family just wants to play you and bully you!"
The presiding judge and others discussed for a while and were about to speak when the door, which had long been closed not far away, suddenly opened from the outside.
