Chapter 72: I'm Not Attractted to Her.
Cathy looked at him coldly. "Do you hate Marian?"
The man frowned and answered truthfully, "I am not attracted to her."
He did not understand why she suddenly mentioned the woman who made him think of what had happened after the previous drink, and his eyes were cold. Cathy did not pay attention to his subtle changes, but she was choked and confused.
He was not attracted to her?
What hell was the answer?
"She likes you. Don't tell me you can't feel it."
"I know now." Tyrone's face did not change much, but he did not have much expression, as if he were talking about an unimportant matter.
п
Cathy was choked again. For a moment, she didn't know what to say.
What he meant was that he didn't know before.
How did he know now? Did he understand, or what did Marian do?
When the man saw that she was silent, he couldn't help approaching again. Finally, he added, "I have removed her from the headquarters and she will no longer be my special assistant."
Cathy blinked and stayed for a moment.
Tyrone frowned slightly, slowly grasped her hand and whispered, "Cathy."
Although the voice can not be heard much gentle and lingering, but the voice had a little more different emotion than before. There was reluctance and nostalgia.
During this period of reflection, he had to admit that Leo's words that he was not sure whether he fell in love with her, but he didn't want her to leave.
Perhaps three years of marriage had made him accustomed to her existence, even to her breath in bed, and he could not leave as soon as he approached.
He never spent too much time on emotional issues, except for the deep-rooted resentment when he was forced to marry her. But after that, he did not exclude her existence. If she hadn't suddenly proposed divorce, he would probably have forgotten his agreement for four years, so he would have lived with her.
It was his intention to leave the child behind. Now that he had a child, his obsession deepened in his heart.
Cathy's eyes flashed and she was in a panic. She shook off his hand and stammered inexplicably, "You, it is none of my business. Go away, I'm going back."
Fearing that he might catch up, she hurried to the roadside and stopped a taxi. She opened the door and sat down quickly.
After the car driving, she took a breath and looked through the window at the man who was farther and farther away. Her face became complicated and her thought was mixed.
Until she returned to her apartment, Cathy was still in a muddle. She washed casually and lay in bed.
It was conceivable that Tyrone's ambiguous words made her insomnia, tossing and turning until dawn.
In the morning, with a pair of dark circles under her eyes, she rushed to the company after a quick breakfast.
"Cathy, did you wear smoky makeup today?" The Aaron saw her and laughed.
Damn it!
Cathy looked at him with a grin and said, "Yes, is it beautiful?"
Aaron grinned stiffly and said, "Well, it's beautiful. Would you like me to make you a cup of coffee?"
Cathy thought about the child in her belly for a second, but she endured it. "No, just pour me a cup of hot water."
"OK." Aaron nodded his head cleverly, then pointed at her, and grinned. "But, Cathy, you look very beautiful in this clothes and have a super temperament today."
Cathy was stunned and looked down at her clothes.
A Beige windbreaker jacket, a loose white shirt, a clear collar, two straight slender legs underneath a pair of small pointed flat shoes.
Elegant and capable.
Tyrone picked the clothes in the shop yesterday. She chose two matches in the morning. She just hid her belly and didn't look carefully.
When she was praised, she was naturally in a good mood, and her smile deepened a little. "Thank you. Nevertheless, don't forget to email me when you have finished your work."
Then she turned to the office.
After the regular meeting on Monday, Cathy stretched out his stiff limbs and walked out of the meeting room. Mr. Brown caught up and looked at her with a smile. "Cathy, come to my office." Cathy shocked and nodded. "OK, good."
As long as Mr. Brown showed this kind of laughter, she always felt there was no good.
In the president's office, the man put his hands on the table and looked at her happily. "How's your father's foot?"
"Well, it's almost ready. We should be discharged tomorrow." Cathy raised the corner of her lips and put on a proper smile.
"Oh, then I'm at ease. Yesterday I was asked by Mr. Franklin."
"Mr. Franklin?" Cathy was stunned, and what Tyrone said to her appeared in her mind.
After hesitating for a second, she said, "Mr. Brown, Mr. Franklin... Is he really going to cooperate with Vanten Technology Company?"
LT Company just opened a branch in Chicago. James Franklin also came to here. When did Chicago become a hot property?
Mr. Brown thought deeply and nodded. "I think he has this intention. Yesterday, he asked the Secretary to contact me. He said that he was interested in the app that our company recently developed, and he wanted the headquarters over there in Jingdu to contact us directly."
Cathy suddenly frowned and whispered thoughtfully, "Is Mr. Franklin thinking highly of us?"
Although there was only a branch of Ventan Technology Company in Chicago, which was nothing compared with LT Company, the big Internet company. It was chose at first glance, which was somewhat doubtful.
"Well, I think so too." Mr. Brown also shook his head with some doubts. Although it was self-destructive to say, he also knew himself well.
He and Mr. Franklin had only met each other two or three times, and it was only these two days that they have more contact, even he himself felt somewhat puzzled.
There was also Mr. Raman of LT Company. The two business leaders, even if their chairman was there, he had to grin bitterly behind them. He felt stressful to entertain them.
Well, even Mr. Brown could not understand, Cathy could either. She turned her eyes around and said with a dull smile, "That... Mr. Brown, even you can't figure it out. I think it's too risky for me to do this. Otherwise, you should give it to our experienced predecessors."
Mr. Brown looked at her and thought about it for a while. He also felt that it was too serious for her to cope with. Suddenly he frowned and said, "But Mr. Franklin has seen you, and he is quite impressed with you. Would he be unhappy if I suddenly changed one?"
Cathy was stiff. "This... Should it not be? I think he always has a good temper. He may be so polite to everyone. They were all deep and difficult to distinguish. One Tyrone was enough. She shouldn't deal with another one.
